Temu Sells Dolls And They Are So Cute!

Hi Doll Friends!

This post has been in the works for months (I just checked and I got them on May 31st!) So it's been a minute since I got these dolls from Temu. Aren't they cute?

The one on the left really reminds me of Paola Reina Dolls. Her face sculpt really looks like one of theirs, I think. She is really cute, but her body is very 'cheaply' made. Think of those off-brand fashion dolls you find in the Dollar Tree that have hollow bodies. So I am not sure how long I'll keep her in my collection but it was fun to check her out. She cost me $12.59.

This one is really very nice. I paid $15.29 for her. I think it's cute how they made her box look a bit like Glitter Girl dolls. She's 10inches not 14inches and so obviously the box is shorter.

But look, the outfits on the back are total knockoffs of prior Glitter Girl fashions. Also, as you can see, the box came very 'mashed up' and her hair was a mess.

This is the other doll in her box. Pretty 'generic' doll box really.

As you can see, there are other 'models' of the same doll with different hair color options and outfits.

I decided to show you how similar this box looks to the Glitter Girl box. Same colors and layout. Isn't that funny?

Here is the Temu doll next to two of my 'real' Paola Reina dolls. As you can see, she's just a touch shorter. Still, very cute!

She really is very pretty.

Then as you can see, the other doll is the same height as this one.

Here she is with two Glitter Girls. I really love her little face sculpt though. I think she's a keeper.

Then as I was looking at Temu in July, I saw two more dolls I was curious about. Here they are (above) with my Ruby Red dolls. The second from left and far right dolls above are two of them. Aren't they pretty? They were $10.98 each. They are really pretty good quality considering the low price point.

They also have rooted hair which is very sparsely rooted. It is not a big surprise though considering

Here is what one looks like on Temu. Obviously, the price went up since I purchased them.

They didn't come in boxes, but rather just in these padded mailers.

And baggies. Luckily they didn't get damaged despite being so unprotected by a box or better packaging.

So... Temu Dolls can be fun and considering they aren't all that expensive, I can help but recommend adding them to your collection. Have any of you purchased dolls or doll accessories from Temu? As you know, I love their photography backdrops. I've also purchased tons of stickers, stamps and paper for paper crafting and card making. So it's become a bit of a guilty pleasure, putting in a little order when I get paid.

Better run!

PS Here are the last two alongside several other similarly sized dolls in my collection. From left to right the brands are: Glitter Girls, Madame Alexander, Temu, Paola Reina, Ruby Red, (Drawing a blank on the one in orange, I'll find it and come back, Temu, Ruby Red and Wellie Wishers by AG.

Getting Back To Sewing Machine For The Dollies! Gearing Up To Sell Doll Fashions!

Hi Doll Friends!

It's finally happened! I've found some time to work on sewing for the dollies again! Years ago, I had hoped to open a doll store, but I ended up moving across the country instead. After I moved, I just didn't have the time to devote to it. The time to even take doll photos as much as I'd like, much less pull out the sewing machine and sew again. As fortune would have it, a great deal of time has been opened in my schedule. So I am taking the plunge! I'm going to sew my heart out... When I was a girl, I dreamed of being a fashion designer. Then I found out that lots of math was involved. Not my strong suit! However, when it comes to designing and making doll clothes, I can take that passion to make my own clothing ideas come to life! How exciting! I'll keep you posted as to when I launch the store... It might just be a 'soft launch' where I slowly post items on eBay... I've been selling some of my doll items there, trying to clear out the inventory I'd planned to sell in my doll store. Ultimately though, I'd like to sell mostly doll clothes that I make and/or doll-sized items I find at thrift stores.

So exciting!

UPDATE 10/23/2024: Here is the link to my eBay store

PS This is a sneak peek at some of the doll clothes I've been working on. This is my reversible tunic mini-dress or top. You get two looks with one item. The velcro at the shoulders allows you to reverse it to a totally different design. It's in line with my hope to make doll clothes that stretch your doll clothes budget! Stay tuned!
