Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!
Over the last year or so, I've found American Girl Doll 'scores' at several different places. My plan was to make a post about each of them individually... However, I just haven't found the time to do so! Consequently the poor dears have just been sitting in a holding pattern in their sad state desperately needing a makeover. So I've finally decided to just make a post about the whole group of them!
The first one I want to tell you about is the one that I was most excited about! Julie Albright is a doll I've wanted forever given that I was born in the 1970's and that's her era. I was on Facebook marketplace one day and who should pop up? Julie Albright! The posting was for two American Girl Dolls actually, both of them for $45!! I was so surprised when I wrote the woman selling them and they were still available!
So here she is! Isn't she fantastic! I she obviously she needs a makeover. She needs to be washed up and have her hair brushed really well and her limbs are very 'loose' so she needs help there but, all in all, she is in great shape for only $22.50!
The 'other' doll of the two is this one. I think she's just one of the 'Truly Me' dolls but I'm not certain. She's very pretty though and I'm not sad to have her in my collection. Maybe ya'll recognize her as a 'character' doll?
She also needs a makeover obviously and to be changed out of this Mrs. Santa dress!
Ironically enough, like the week after I found Julie Albright again! This time at a Thrift Store. Obviously she had a rather sad haircut but was in pretty good shape otherwise considering she was....
Only $4.99!! What a steal! I plan to re-wig her obviously and since I already got the first Julie, I'm certain I'll totally change her look. How fun!
Next of the group is Samantha! I don't have her in my collection so when I found her in a big box of dolls at a garage sale I was totally stoked! I asked them how much they wanted for her and she was only $5.00!!
She is in pretty fantastic shape considering. She was nude when I found her so I threw this little nightgown on her for her photos.
As you can see, her neck strings were cut... but again, what a steal!
This the last one... I *think* she's Marisol but I'm not certain. Poor dear is in dreadful shape, she's got some horrible marks on her face that I'm not positive I'll be able to get off...? She wasn't marked price wise at the thrift store where I found her and so I asked and, since she was in such bad shape, they gave her to me for only $2.99!!
So, now that I've told you about all of them, I'll do my best to get them make-overs as soon as possible and come back and show you when they are all clean and hair fixed and whatnot.
I hope this finds you having a wonderful day! How is it nearly March already? Time does fly!
