Adora Amazing Girls Travel Set From Amazon

Hi Doll Friends,

So last month I was on Amazon and had this Adora Amazing Girls Travel Set suggested to me...

At the time it was only $12.18 and so... I couldn't help myself but to order it. It's taken me this long to get here to show it to you and in the meantime the price has gone up by nearly $10! Oy! 

In any case, it's still a very cute set. It comes with four T-shirts, a pair of jeggings, a pair of tennis shoes, a leopard print jacket, a suitcase on rollers, a cellphone and a passport all in a very cute gift box. So I think it's probably worth even the $21 although it probably wouldn't have tempted me as much to buy it at that price. I tried the Tshirts on a variety of different dolls to see how it fit. On the thicker bodied dolls like American Girl, New York Doll Company City Girls and Maplelea it was pretty tight (see photo of AG Julie below). It fit better on Adora Amazing Girl obviously and on I'm A Girly Dolls that are more thin bodied. I think this would be a great set to gift even if it's to yourself and your own dolls! This is going to be a photo review showing you picture by picture as I opened it. The cellphone is really cute, it's made out of wood, the suitcase opens and so you can really 'pack' clothes in it for your dollies travels. Adora Amazing Girl Zoe Purchased With Birthday Gift Money!

 

Doll Friends!

I didn't plan on buying another doll...

Honest! I know I have enough...

However, when the perfect storm comes, what is a girl to do?

What do I mean by perfect storm?

Well, when one is gifted a birthday gift certificate and then Amazon makes me an offer impossible to refuse. Haha. Or at least it was for me. I love Adora Dolls. I actually already own Mia, which is what Zoe used to be named...

But Amazon put her on sale for $17.09!! What?! Zoe has a regular price of $59.99. So how could I not pick her up for less than $18?! I mean her adorable outfit is worth that really!

Sadly, by the time I've gotten here to tell you about it she's back up to over $40 even on sale. 

Here is the box she arrived in.

I love that she's able to 'stand up' strait in her box unlike another Adora Amazing Girls Doll, like Sam/Dallas, I've purchased where they arrived with their head tilted to be able to fit into their box. 

I just love her face sculpt! Given that I have two dolls with same sculpt and hair style and color now... I think I'll likely 'customize' one of them at some point with a new wig. I'll probably give the makeover to the older doll since her hair might have a bit of dust in it whereas the new one won't. 

I love that they protected her arms from dye transfer from her clothes with paper. 

Well done Adora Dolls. 

I love her little t-shirt! 

I love that they use white ribbon, not zip ties, to attach her to her box insert. 

And that they give each of the girls a little personality story.

Adora Amazing Girls Doll Lucy Joins The Doll House

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

Once again, Amazon got my number! Hahaha. They are so sneaky!

I have long admired Lucy, one of the Adora Amazing Girls Dolls. However, her outfit? Not so much. I thought it was just silly. So spending $60 on a doll who's outfit just seemed all wrong to me didn't make much sense...

I begin to think that Amazon has a 'mind reading' mechanism though. Because, low and behold, what would come up in my suggestions other than... Lucy, in a different outfit, and at a discounted price too!!

I couldn't help myself!!

So, yeah... She came home to the Doll House. 

I've bought a couple of other Amazing Girls and she was packaged just as nicely. 

I love love love her! She's so pretty!!

I don't regret buying her at all. Not a bit. 

Again, dear readers, I am so sorry for my sporadic posting of late... My life has just gotten so busy and my poor doll hobby has taken a hit. I keep hoping that I'll get back into the swing of things when life settles down a little bit but in the mean time, I'll keep posting as often as I can. Thanks for hanging in here with me in the meantime!
