My Life As Doll Clearance Shopping Spree At Walmart Online!

Doll Friends!

As you well know, I do a lot of shopping researching online so I can stay abreast and informed of the lastest in all things doll. It's a labor of love and it's all for you, dear reader!
 You're welcome.
*giggles*
Ok, maybe it's a little bit to do with the fact that dolls are fun and they make me smile too.

In any case, I was shopping researching recently on Walmart.com after seeing a few new items come out here and there at the store. Oftentimes they'll post them online before they hit the stores even. Then sometimes they even release them at really great prices as was the case when I picked up my My Life As Doll Kitchen right as they came out in 2016 for nearly half price. So it pays to shop research often on Walmart.com often! So... Recently I'd gotten my 'Doll Mad Money' for the month and decided to do a bit of shopping research...

And I found some deals I just couldn't pass up.

So they arrived earlier this week in a ginormous box! This photo doesn't really convey how huge this box was...! As I type that, knowing I still have the box, it literally just popped into my head how fun it would be to turn the box into a 'playhouse' for the dolls... Hmmmm... That could be a hoot. I digress...

So what did I buy? Well, I've been looking at this fountain since I first saw them when they came out... I wasn't ever sure if I wanted one because, again, it's one more thing I have to store. However, when I saw it on sale for $10.88, I decided it was certainly worth that (those cute little plants and birds are adorbs!) and I'd figure out some place to put it. Hahaha. I still need to unbox it and take some photos... Never enough play hobby time to get everything done as quickly as I'd like.

Here is the back of the box.

Side note: Holy platform shoes Batman! Where do I get some of those for my dolls? So cute!! Not even kidding. I want!

Then for some reason this handsome fella was rolled back to only $12.88! What?! I had to do it. I knew just how I'd likely customize him since I already had Jamar at home in my MLA collection. He's actually already been customized as I type this and if you've read my recent post about the dolls at the beach you might've even seen him. I named him Omar after one of my all time favorite TV characters. The character Omar has scar on his face and I am considering if I am going to attempt to make one on my Omar doll. I am inclined to imagine the scar happened when he was older though... Haha. I think too hard about such things. Anyway, Omar will be a great addition to the doll house! I am making him Jamar's cousin from Baltimore in my Doll House Story.

Here is side of his box.

And back of his box.

Here he is at the beach, on the far right. I changed out their swimsuits.

Then... I noticed this beauty for only $22.00. I think she has the exact same color eyes at the JoJo Siwa My Life As Doll. I just couldn't ever bring myself to buy that doll even though I actually knew the real Jojo when she was younger about the year before she went on the dance show... I really didn't like the lipstick color and didn't really want to pay extra for her since she came with a dog... Etc. However I did love her dolls eye color... So when I saw this beauty on sale for $22 and saw she had (I think) the exact same eye color as Jojo doll, I couldn't help but buy her. I mean, that swimsuit alone is a big reason, oh my cute.

She came with sunglasses and I thought it was funny how they put them in the box, hovering over her head.

The next item I couldn't pass up was this Dance Studio/Stage. For it's original price of $35, I wasn't ever really tempted... Just one more 'big thing' to store. However, when it went on sale for only $25... It became impossible to pass up. I mean the microphone and stand and boom box that actually work and cute plants and... Well... I decided I couldn't pass it up.

Here is how it goes together. Not to difficult, you just snap it together but you have to have quite a bit of 'force' to do so. I brought it to my husband had him do it for me.

Here are the accessories it comes with... I love that the boom box works. It has two classical songs. How fun.

Here it is all set up with the accessories it comes with.

And with the mirror side...

I am so glad I bought it! It is such a great doll photo tool!! I've been taking photos with it the last few days and will have to come share them with you soon after I get them edited! But I think you'll be seeing a lot of this particular doll prop.

So it was a really fun shopping spree and I love all the stuff I got. What's not to love about that?

I better run! It's Thursday! Happy Friday-Eve! It's been a really loooong short week so I am glad we are almost to the weekend again. Eh?

My Life As Doll Items On Clearance At Walmart!

Hi Doll Friends!!

In my last post I told you about the Dolls recently having some adventures at the beach. Well, in some of those photos you may have noticed a neat beach lounge chair that Spectrum was sitting in? Well, part of what inspired me to do the beach scenes at all was that I had gone to Walmart and that little chair was on clearance for only $5.00. My only regret is I only bought the one... But I am always worrying about space in my Doll Room and trying to be reasonable.

Here is the chair right after I got it home. As you can see, it's made very much like the 'real' chairs of the same sort.

It was only after I got the chair home and looked again at this photo that I thought "I could've stacked them and two wouldn't have taken up much more room than one!?" Blah. Oh well, I have other beach chairs and honestly I'd have to set up a pretty huge beach scene for two of them to fit in well...

They also had a few items for the mini-My Life As Dolls on clearance.

This table and chair set is so cute! But I am determined not to 'start' collecting 'mini-doll-sized items or I will certainly run out of room in the Doll House!

I love the colors of this kichen... When I got mine (which has since found a new home with a good friend for her granddaughters dolls) it was in purples and I think these colors are more 'realistic'.

This was cute and on clearance too but... too big to store I think!

Several dolls on clearance...

Then I looked at the non-clearanced MLA items... I think this is a cute set but I already have a picnic table from Our Generation and... Again.. Space. Lord help me if I ever get a huge house because all bets will be off and I'll have all the things
Heeheehee.

So many cute outfits!

And other cool doll items...!

Another thing I saw was something I'd seen recently reviewed by Kewpie83... Hello Kitty and Care Bear motif ensembles for Barbies! I wondered "Would they fit the mini dolls?" Hmmm...

Here are some of my favorites of what I saw...

So I bought this one... To see... I haven't opened it up yet but I'll let you know what I find when I do. So cute!!

And speaking of mini-dolls, I did find this clothes pack for them and bought it. It was $7.00 and I have the same set for 18" dolls so I couldnt' help but buy it. Now my dolls and some of their mini's will be able to wear identical outfits! Fun!

Better run!

A Day At The Beach! Doll Photography!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

Some of the dolls 'went to the beach' Saturday.
Here is their little story.
*winks*

Here are a lot of the girls  in the morning just enjoying the beach house.

They built sandcastles... Here is Amy with hers. (which is actually one like these figurines that I got at a thrift store and think makes a perfect sand castle for the dolls!)

Star, Leonie and Nanea searched the beach for sea shells... They found some fantastic ones!
(The shells actually came from one of those tourist trap gift shop bottles of shells you can buy at just about any gift shoppe near a beach... Mine was 50cents at a Garage Sale)

Then Carla had the great idea to call Cat Doll and see if she would come and teach a hula class!

Charlsea is very fair and so she hid a lot under an umbrella on the lounge chair and slathers on suscreen!

Star had never been to the beach before and she loved everything about it!

Carla is telling Nanea about the hula class and that Cat was on her way over! Nanea was excited because she hadn't been to a class in such a long time.

Before they knew it, Cat had arrived! Carla hadn't met her before and so she ran right up and said hi!

Several of the girls were interested in taking a class... Cat brought along a few extra grass skirts and tuutuu's for the rest...

They were ready to get started! They just needed to move the pink picnic table out of the way...

Cat is such an amazing instructor that before they knew it, they had a few moves down. Spectrum and Amy both played the ukelele for them.

So much fun!!

Here they all are after the class. Left to right: Cat, Charlsea, Leonie, Saila, Nanea, Carla (in front), Star, Amy and Spectrum.

Most of the girls went into the beach house for a rest but Amy wanted to lay out on a beach towel and enjoy the weather...

Later in the day they were expecting a few friends to drop by and finally they did... Jamar and his cousin Omar arrived! (Omar actually just arrived in the Doll House very recently and I haven't even told you his story yet... I'll link to that post when I get it done)

Nanea was sunbathing, Star was making a sandcastle and Leonie was talking to Charlsea about thier native Canada and so Carla and Spectrum showed Jamar and Omar the shells they'd found earlier. They had been busy photographing them, then looking them up on google to try and identify what manner of animal may have housed in the shells. The guys thought that was a pretty interesting project and immediately wanted to join them.

Charlsea and Leonie had decided in the morning that since they were both newcomers to the Doll House and the country, they would wear 'twinsy' bathing suits. They had been inseperable friends since Leonie arrived even if they were from different places in Canada.

Nanea knew it was time for more sunscreen! She didn't want to burn!

Omar hadn't met Saila before yet and they had a great time talking to each other about where they were from. Saila's Canada sounded so interesting and unique to Omar and Omar's Baltimore sounded so interesting to Saila. Isn't it fun to talk about different places and how much they are different but also how much they are the same.

Finally Barbara arrived... She brought along the groceries so they could have a cookout. How fun!

So it was a great day at the beach! Later on they all cooked out and ended evening watching sun set over beach while they ate Ice Cream.

I hope you had a relaxing weekend filled with family and friends you love.
