Thrift Store Doll Sightings Recently...

Hi Doll Friends!

I know I've been very spartan in my blog posts the last few months... Suffice to say that my 'real' life has taken turns I never saw coming and navigating it has taken every ounce of my energy and continues to do so. If it were not for Jesus, I'd be stark raving mad. So... There is that.

I am still thrifting and taking photos of doll things I find interesting and think you might find interesting too. So, without further ado, here are the things I've seen lately...

This little doll is so cute... No label that I could find though.

You can't really tell the 'scale' of these without a doll next to them I realize but they were totally doll sized wedding couples. So cute!

These little ladies were so interesting!

Here is the tag on one of them...

'

I love rag dolls and thought this one was sweet. I've actually made several...
I should see if I can find them to show them to you...

This was a cute porcelain doll... She'd already lost her thumb sadly... These poor forlorn porcelain dolls just don't do too well in thrift stores.

I laughed at the two headed makeup-hair-head doll and so snapped a photo. Probably not rare and you've probably seen them before but I hadn't and so...

This poor dear was beyond even what I thought I could pull off in a makeover. So I left her there.

Poor forlorn dolls on the shelf...

I thought this porcelain doll had a pretty sculpt...

A doll horse... I have several and so he stayed put.

Another doll dresser...

I can't recall if I showed you this doll? They wanted like $80 for her and the bag of clothes she had laying beneath her. Um... Too much money for a Madame Alexander that probably cost like $50 brand new irregardless of what clothes she came with. What really shocked me is that she must've been purchased cos she was gone the next time I stopped into this Goodwill.

HUGE bag of barbies and other fashion dolls for $15. If I were into that sort I think this would be a steal!

The other side of same bag...

I should've gotten this one for Christmas photos but... Can't buy all the things!

This horse was interesting in his stance... Never seen one like him before...

And finally the purchase I made, bracelets which I use as necklaces for the dolls. Four of them for $1.25! Can't beat that!

That's it for now Doll Friends, I gotta go herd the cats... (get my teenagers to school)
Have a great week!

More Thrift Store Finds and Left Behinds...!

Doll Friends,

I am so behind on... Everything. This week was the first week of school for the kids and I've just run run run and still feel behind on everything. Am sure you can relate if you have kids!

Just a moment here but wanted to shout out about my recent thrift finds and left behinds...

First, the finds. I found these cute little baskets for only 50cents each. I think they'll look cool in a Farmers stand scene or something...

My daughter thought this one looked like a hat... Indeed, it kind of works! Here is Vicky Doll showing it off.

Here is Syracuse with a bench I found for only 50cents. I think the heart on it is funny! It's all lopsided. I think I like it more than normal boring hearts... I bet my own heart is lopsided too... LOL Kidding! But I like the funny charm of it.

Then there is the left behinds!
(AKA things I didn't buy but thought you might find interesting or that I might have bought if I had endless space and money! hahaha!)

I almost bought this.... But... Space...! I can't go buying a whole new doll size of display scenes. Although, as per my usual, I am kicking myself at I type this... It could've been a store display for the small dolls... Ugh. Oh well...

These Precious Moments Dolls were adorable but... Again... I don't need a whole new type of doll in the Doll House! I have bought some Precious Moments dolls in the past but I've since weeded them out... So... They sure are cute though!

More sad forlorn porcelain dolls...

These three little porcelain dolls were totally adorable though!! I don't buy porcelain or I'd have them right now... The face sculpt on them all is adorable!!

I bought this bench by the way... It was only 99cents. How could I not?

This is the mark on the neck of one of them... I can't even read it...?

This dresser was kind of cool...

But kind of nasty on the inside... I guess it could be cleaned up but...

For $9.99, I left it there.

Another kick me moment!! This fold up rocking chair is adorable and I should've bought it.
Ugh. Oh well... Can't buy 'all the things' can I?

Cute porcelain boy doll...

And two more...

This one rode around in my shopping buggy a while... Ultimately I put it back... As I look at it now I am like "Why??!?!" Hahaha! It would've been fabulous in an arcade scene

I thought this was interesting... It was like a wall plaque. I probably should've bought it cos it would've been good for scenes but... Maybe it'll be there next time. It's kind of a strange item.

Cute but incomplete doll sized tea set.

A cute little pram (I should've bought! Why do I talk myself out of so many good things?!?) and a cute littel apple dresser...

Another cute dresser...

A cute doll bed...

And this little lady had the most compelling face... Don't you think?

I guess she wasn't that little... Probably 20inches tall... Pretty doll!

Gotta run!
Have a great weekend!
