Kindred Heart Paige Gets A Makeover! Introducing Lee Hye-bin from Momoland!

Hi Doll Friends!

So... I've been wanting to make a doppelganger doll of a Kpop star that my daughter loves named Lee Hye-bin in the band Momoland... I kept looking for a perfect doll to use to make her. I don't know why it didn't occur to me when I got her but I was looking at my dolls about a week ago and I noted that poor Paige hadn't really left the doll shelf since I got her... And suddenly I was like "Hold the phone! She'd be perfect!" So, I grabbed out my little collection of doll wigs and tried the ones I had considered using for her.

Currently Lee Hye-bin is kind of known for having short hair.... However, when I looked her up when I found out she was one of my daughters favorite, I found photos of her with a bit longer hair in pastels... So I decided to go with that look. Teehee. Cos how cute!! Eh?

I love how she came out!
I better run for now... Time flies! Have a great week Doll Friends!

Paradise Kids 18" Doll Goodwill Find and Makeover!

Doll Friends,

Ok found just another moment here...
I found this pretty little lady last week at Goodwill for $3.99!
I had to bring her home and clean her up because...

She'd been through a rough time.

I actually used to have a Paradise Kids doll but I'd sent her to Frann a while ago for her collection. So it's neat another one found her way to the Doll House...

She seemed in pretty good shape other than her hair...
So I just cut it it off and started trying on wigs...

Here is the first wig I tried on her... It wasn't horrible.

But I loved this one the minute I put it on her... Just cute!

I love the soft waves and cute shorter style.

So I think this is the one I'll keep on her. I'm not postive... The wig was actually really really tight. Paradise Kids obviously have a bit larger head size than other 18inch dolls. So right at her temples you can see the 'plug holes' from her prior hair. But her hair will be worn down in this style so I don't know if it will matter. We shall see...

Better run!

Took Dolls To The Park! First Doll Photography In Ever So Long....

Hi Doll Friends,

I finally got out into the sunshine and took some doll photos last week...
Felt good.
Wish I could say I have totally stayed out of the woods on the depression front... But it's kind of been a wondering in and wondering out and wondering back in sort of few weeks recently.

So I meant to take some pretty Easter Photos last week to post... I got the dolls dressed to go out for the photos and...
Didn't get them taken... Not even inside.
*sigh*
Then I didn't even have the heart to come say Happy Easter because I didn't have any 'new' Easter photos to post with it.
I'm ridiculous.

So, I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
I better run... Always behind on life lately.

Babies Babies Babies!! Baby Siblings For The Dolls Abound!

Doll Friends!

Circo 8inch Baby Dolls are no longer sold at Target. At least the last time I checked... So, every time I see them at Thrift Stores or Garage Sales, I can't help myself but to pick them up. I may or may not have too many...? Teehee... Not if I am going to do another Baby Sitting post (or two) if I am going to create a Daycare Scene someday... Eh? But even then, I may have a few too many baby dolls this size.. Or not. All a matter of perspective, that, I suppose, right?

These (the ones above and this photo below) are babies I've picked up here there and the other place since the last time I made a post about babies on the blog...

So the other day I pulled them all out and wanted to launder their clothes and maybe try and use some of them to figure out a simple pattern to make clothes for the ones who arrived with no clothes at all. I laughed and noticed how many of the Circo's had accumulated after I put them all in a doll carrying case while I washed all the clothes.

Here they are... I laughed as I lined them up so TypeA without even thinking about them... Blue eyed baby then brown eyed baby then blue then brown then blue.... Etc.
I guess having this many is a little excessive so I gandered at them on Ebay to see what they were going for... Just to see if it would be worth selling any of them and...
I tell you, when dolls are discontinued, no matter their size, they end up being worth more... It's uncanny...
So... I might sell a few on eBay...? I've decided I need to not buy any doll items anymore unless I am going to sell current things in my collection. Because space and also to keep myself honest... So...
Maybe I'll list them on eBay for what I think is a decent starting bid and see what happens?
Who knows? Lately my 'follow-thru' has been dismal...
*sigh*
I'm still working on the Etsy Shoppe inventory building... I probably have 30 items or so made but need to take photos of them and then get them listed and...
As I mention in this post, I've been struggling a bit lately...
So... Maybe someday it'll all get done.
Right?

I better run, time to herd the cats!
(i.e. Get teens outta bed and out door for school. Hahaha)
Have a great day Doll Friends!

Vintage 1985 Louis Nichole Baby Perambulator For 18inch Dolls

Doll Friends!

I found this Louis Nichole Baby Pram at my local thrift for only $5.00! It still had the tags on it even though it's from 1985. I bought it a while ago but it was sometime during my doldrums and so I am just getting here to show it to you. I think it's darling! I took it out on Monday while it was sunny out to try and get a few photos with the dolls! I wasn't able to get too many photos though because it was pretty windy and dolls don't like to stand up well in wind. However, it felt great to just get outside and take some doll photos!
Winter is finally over!
(I hope!)

Isn't it just the bees knees?!

I love my local thrift store! They always mark their items so reasonably!

Here is a close up of the tag.

So interesting!

It had this little tag inside of it but it wasn't attached...

It was just tucked into the side like this...

Realizing it was probably too windy to take too many (if any?) doll photos I decided I'd snap a shot with each of the 18inch dolls as I put them into my 'scene' or 'shot'. So here is Chavonne and the as-of-yet unnamed babies in the pram.

Then I added Heather Doll...

And at last I added Frann Doll... And I really love the one or two shots I was able to get before they all started falling over. So, I am sure you'll see more of the pram in photos going forward. I have been meaning to get my doll baby siblings out more for photos and this will be a good excuse to do that.

Gotta run!
XOXO
