Journey Girls Alana Amazon Exclusive!!

Doll Friends,

Long time no post!!
A couple of months ago now I was on Amazon and just shopping browsing looking for the newest thing in 18inch dolls... You know... Researching...
For you dear reader!! I do it all for you.
Hahaha!

Anyway, lo and behold what did I find?
Journey Girls Alana an Amazon exclusive...
Now, I need to be thinning out my doll collection but...
How could I resist? She is so beautiful!!

So, here is me finally getting here to tell you about her. I took her with me on a recent trip and took photos of her in the hotel and on this beautiful walking path outside the hotel.

I'd write up a longer blog post about her but I'm going to have to just let the photos tell the story because I am always short on time lately! I really do recommend picking her up for your Journey Girls collection! She's just lovely.

Journey Girls Special Edition Doll At Amazon And She's On Sale!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!

So, recently I realized it'd been a while since I looked at the Journey Girls on Amazon. I am so glad that this line of dolls were continued by Amazon after Toys-R-Us closed down because they really are beautiful and well made dolls. Anyway, I hadn't really been paying attention to the doll line since I bought Ilee. So when I pulled up the search of Journey Girl on Amazon? Who did I see?

They don't really have a name for her... She's simply listed as a Special Edition Doll. I think she's got the same face sculpt as Callie and she is stunning! She is actually on sale right now for $44.27, her normal price is $49.99. I am telling myself "I don't need another doll! I don't need another doll!!" But she is very tempting.
She is similar to the Holiday Dolls from Journey Girls that they've released at Toys-R-Us in the past.
This is how they describe her at Amazon:

Our Journey Girls Special Edition Doll is stunning in a deep red satin gown featuring a modern hemline that shows off a gold brocade underskirt. She wears matching ankle strap sandals with knot closures and a soft blond fur stole. Her accessories include gold rhinestone jewelry, a hair accessory, and an elegant clutch with red tassel. Each Journey Girl has her own individual and unique style while sharing similar interests with her friends. Journey Girls all love to travel and explore, seeking out new friends and super exciting adventures. While each girl is different, one thing is for sure – Journey Girls are all about sharing. Whether it’s sharing something from their closet or something from their heart, Journey Girls are there to share adventures with their friends.

They have a Journey Girl Store, they even have a little video when you go there.

They still have the same basic line of Journey Girls that have been out quite some time.

Several of the Journey Girl items are on sale right now. The clothes set above is the same one I got on clearance at Shopko in 2019.

I was interested to find that they also have a few other clothes sets for $14.99 each.

A lot of the playsets are on sale, they are all the same ones that used to be available for sale at Toys-R-Us so it was nice to see that they've brought them back.

I actually have the kitchen set and think it's pretty great.

So I'm glad that I went and checked so I can let ya'll know that they have a lot of it on sale right now... I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need another Journey Girl Doll irregardless of how pretty she is.
Right? LOL

Have a great day Doll Friends!

Doll Finds At Goodwill! Santa Claus Comes Home To The Doll House!

Hi Doll Friends!

I couldn't heeeeeeeelp it!!
They jumped into my caaaaaaart!!
Really!!
Teehee.
I'm. Not. Even. Sorry.

Because when you find an Our Generation Doll and Journey Girl Doll at Goodwill for only 99cents each?
You buy them.

See??!

They are in pretty good shape other than some scrapes and marks here and there...

I imagine they'll both become customized dolls because I do so love to make them. Then again, their hair seems to be in pretty good shape so.... Who knows?
Then....

Guess who was still at Goodwill?? Santa from the post the other day!
And....

The Christmas stuff was on sale for half off! So it's so good I waited! I couldn't help myself, space consuming though he may be, Santa had to come home. I am actually thinking about taking off his head and putting it on an 18 inch doll. Perhaps even the doll I bought and mentioned in the same post as the one I told you about Santa in the first place.

Then there were a few things I didn't buy but wanted to show you. I almost bought this little lady to steal her clothes for other dolls but then felt bad about it and didn't do it. Looking at her gorgeous little dress now I am kind of going "Why?! You could've re-dressed her in a different outfit to donate her!!" Oy... Then again, I can't buy all the things!
Right?

This baby doll cradle was really cool but... Baby dolls are not my thing... Then I didn't buy those little pastel buckets and am really kicking myself for not doing so... They were 99c each though and as I put them next to the dolls I was getting for same price it just seemed too expensive. Hahaha. The way I think is so twisted sometimes.

Then this is totally unrelated to dolls but... I just thought this bust of a woman compelling and very nearly bought her even though she is utterly unlike anything I own and I don't even know where I'd put her? I guess because she reminded me of my mother-in-love (she was more my mother than my own was... Long story...) because she had a very ornate house and had a bust very much like this one that she called Rita. So...
To stay off the Hoarding Shows I took a photo to just show you instead.
Thank you.
Haha

Gotta run!

PS this was tag on bottom of the bust lady...

And a cute doll I saw but didn't buy...

Vintage 1985 Louis Nichole Baby Perambulator For 18inch Dolls

Doll Friends!

I found this Louis Nichole Baby Pram at my local thrift for only $5.00! It still had the tags on it even though it's from 1985. I bought it a while ago but it was sometime during my doldrums and so I am just getting here to show it to you. I think it's darling! I took it out on Monday while it was sunny out to try and get a few photos with the dolls! I wasn't able to get too many photos though because it was pretty windy and dolls don't like to stand up well in wind. However, it felt great to just get outside and take some doll photos!
Winter is finally over!
(I hope!)

Isn't it just the bees knees?!

I love my local thrift store! They always mark their items so reasonably!

Here is a close up of the tag.

So interesting!

It had this little tag inside of it but it wasn't attached...

It was just tucked into the side like this...

Realizing it was probably too windy to take too many (if any?) doll photos I decided I'd snap a shot with each of the 18inch dolls as I put them into my 'scene' or 'shot'. So here is Chavonne and the as-of-yet unnamed babies in the pram.

Then I added Heather Doll...

And at last I added Frann Doll... And I really love the one or two shots I was able to get before they all started falling over. So, I am sure you'll see more of the pram in photos going forward. I have been meaning to get my doll baby siblings out more for photos and this will be a good excuse to do that.

Gotta run!
XOXO
