Pamela and Prism Doll Go To The Mall And Find New Friends At Teddy Bear Connection!

Hi Doll Friends!!

So this past weekend had me going into 'town' for a Friday evening wedding... So I went in a little early and took a couple of dolls to the mall! Pamela Doll and Prism Doll were so excited to go! I made a little Youtube that has more photos and/or more angles of these. So check it out if you are so inclined.

They loved the glass elevator!!

You know how they say writers and/artists sometimes paint or write themselves into the stories? Well, if you look at the reflection, you might see me...?

This one wasn't one of my favorite photos because while the dragon and bear were in a fun and correct 'scale' the table makes them look like they must be the pets of giants or something. So this one didn't even make it into the YouTube. It's a bonus just for you!

While I was at the mall, I naturally ran by the Teddy Bear Connection. The owner and her son were there and are always so sweet about letting me take photos! I took this one of Prism and Pamela in front of the beautiful clothes she sells for 18 & 14 inch dolls! She sells Sophia Doll's Doll Clothes and I pretty much want one of everything...

Then the owner came out with two dolls she'd gotten via the doll company who's dolls she sells. They were bald as the day they were molded *giggles* but they had gorgeous face sculpts and, as is becoming rarer and rarer, they had sculpts I don't think I've ever seen before?

These are two dolls from that company, American Fashion World. I've considered buying one for a while now, they are about $75 as I recall... But other dolls seemingly always manage to scratch and claw their way to the top of my 'wish list' first. The doll in the middle is the same Adora doll I have in the Doll House that is now Frank.

So here is one of the dolls she brought out.
Isn't she striking!?!?

This is her back. She's got an interesting body shape... She has neck strings that someone cut at some point (Don't do that! I know it's tempting and a lot of people dont' know they are there so you can fix your dolly!). I can replace them or change it out with a zip tie if I ever need to tighten her limbs though.

And here is the second one. I am not sure if this one is from the same company as the other?

Here is her back. The sweet owner gave me a wonderful price on them... I only had cash on hand for one but I am going to go back for the other on later this week, she's holding her for me. They are going to be so pretty when they have wigs!!

Sadly, I got so utterly distracted by the dolls that I forgot to take but one more photo in the adorable store itself! So here is that one!

Have a great week Doll Friends!

Build A Bear Clothing Alterations For American Girl Dolls

Hi Doll Friends,

Whenever I happen to find BuildABear clothes for very cheap, I usually pick them up... They can be altered to fit 18inch doll's pretty well. It's just a matter of getting out the sewing machine! So, as you know with my frenzy of upcycles recently I've been in a bit of a sewing mood.

So I finally pulled out the bag of BuildABear clothes that I'd found here there and the other place and started to make them over...

Here is Jody Doll, Mandy Doll and Cat Doll all wearing altered BuildABear clothes. Well, Jody and Mandy are wearing non-BAB tops but the shorts are made over. Cat's whole outfit is a made over BAB outfit.

I made this over but need to get photo's of the finished item. It's really pretty! Just in time for Halloween!

This is a much needed pair of boy shorts! Why much needed? Because I have no shortage of boys in the Doll House.

Here is Tyler modeling the white shorts I made over...

Here are Cat's shorts. I was glad to be able to save the word 'hula' in the shorts because Cat love hula dance!

This skirt came out so cute!

See it on Judy (above, second from left.)

This is a Build A Bear dress I made over is gorgeous! If I do say so...

This is 'before'.

I wondered if maybe I could get away with just moving the velcro but decided it looked a bit, um, cheesey...

Here is how I altered it.

And perfect!

Better run!

Teddy Bear Connection At Westroads Mall Has 18Inch Doll Clothes!!

Hello Doll Friends!!

Happy Saturday!!

The other day Frann Doll and Heather Doll visited the Mall to see the Love Can Store, grab a snack and perhaps do a bit of people watching. Heather Doll also wanted to check out the Teddy Bear Connection  to see what cute t-shirts they might have. Much like Build-A-Bear it's a store that you go pick a plush friend to 'stuff' and then dress in outfits. Oftentimes those clothes will fit 18inch dolls if you modify them a little bit.

As we approached the store Heather Doll noticed something very exciting... There were 18inch Doll in the window!!! Oh my goodness!!

At first we thought they were just capitalizing on the fact that bear clothes sometimes fit dolls... But on closer look, not at all, they were actual doll clothes! Also, look closely at the photo above. The blonde doll in the green Tinker Bell costume is Heather Doll's twin! Awesomeness!

It was like finding a hidden treasure! It's not a common thing to see a store front with 18inch dolls! I was so stoked! Heather Doll was so stoked!

Beautifully dressed 18inch Dolls were all over the store and it turns out that they sell dolls as well...!! How exciting!

They have a whole section of the cutest doll clothes and accessories!! They also happened to be 25% off right now too! Great news for most people but for me, oh the pain! I have already blown my entire Doll budget (plus a few dollars!!) and so buying anything at all wasn't something I could do. Ouch! However just knowing they are there is fun and can always go back next month when I get a re-fill on my Doll Allowance. Right?

So. Many. Cute. Things! Just look at that swimsuit!

Oh my goodness, they have cow print tall boots. I want!!

I am pretty sure the first thing I'll be back for is that Harry Potter costume! It's got a velcro adhered 'house emblem' and so you can make it for any house in Howarts you want your doll to be in! How cool is that! They also had a Princess Leia costume and so many others as you can see... Heather Doll just walked around in awe of the vast selection of items just her size!

It was so much fun to see the Fashionista dolls! I don't have one.... Yet...!

Look at the ginormous bear stuffing machine!! So much fluff!

This doll sweet face just made me smile... I meant to ask the brand of doll and then forgot. Isn't she pretty!? Love the cap and gown!

As you can see, they even have dolls on the counter behind the register. So totally cool.

**So after going around and admiring everything I finally decided to take some photos of Heather Doll in the store. I was sort of silly... I had Frann Doll with me too but at first I was just thinking "Oh, I will just take a photo or two since I just spent so much time taking photos at the Love Can Store" because my friend Beth was with me and I didn't want to make her wait again. However she and the sweet employee at the store encouraged me to go for it! So then I thought I'd just take a few and just of Heather Doll because the more dolls you have in a scene the longer it takes because you have to get them both to stand up and pose etc.

But the more I saw the more I wanted to photograph...

Just look at all those cute dresses!

Check out the bear stuffing machine that is more Doll Sized!

Heather Doll was having so much fun that she finally insisted I take Frann Doll out and let her look around too!

Here they are by what I think might be the biggest teddy bear in the entire world! Look how huge he is!!

So stay tuned in the future when I go back next month to buy a thing or two from this fabulous store! They are super friendly and so you should stop in sometime soon too and get a treat for your Dolly!!

Better run!
Till Next Time!
