Wellie Wisher Sized Wardrobe From Wakao For Under $23.00! Plus Glitter Girl Sarinia Joins the Doll House!

Hi Doll Friends,

So the other day I was shopping researching on Amazon and I had a product suggestion pop up... A small wardrobe of doll clothes for Wellie Wisher sized dolls for less than $23.00?! What?!

I am weak Doll Friends!! Before I knew what I was doing, Wakeo Doll Clothes Set was in my cart and I blinked at two days were gone and it was here...

They come in this cute little gift box... I love how it says "Interesting Costumes, my favorite". Adorable! Good, too, that they come in a gift box because you could wrap them and put them under the Christmas tree or give as a birthday gift to any little girl who's got 14inch sized play dolls like Wellie Wishers or Glitter Girls.

Other side of the box is identical except for a sticker with a bar code for inventory purposes.

Here is what the clothes look like inside the interior bag...

I wish I had thought to take a photo of them when I took them out but... They were very jumbled, wrinkled, some turned-inside-out... However, after smoothing out the skirts (the shirts were not really wrinkled, different sort of fabric) they look pretty great, I think. As for the quality? Well, that kind of depends on your standards and how rough you are with doll clothes. My Granny was a genius seamstress and so I probably have much higher standards than the average bear but...

I took a photo of the inside of one of the skirts so you can see what I mean. With this manner of material, you'd probably want a more finished edge than this if you're going to be handling it a lot. Otherwise it'll probably fray. They do make a product called 'fray check' that would probably help but if you're going to use it, make sure you are 1) an adult or 2) with an adult cos, as I recall, it's some pretty stinky stuff... I digress. So my point is, for an adult collector like myself who is careful with my doll things it will be fine and they all look lovely from the outside. If you're buying this for a child though? You might want to finish the edges for them.

However, given that it's $23 for FIVE OUTFITS, the quality is pretty great! I really love the tops and think they'll make great mix and matches with some of the Glitter Girl clothes...

Speaking of Glitter Girls... I went to Target the other day and....
Well....

I couldn't help it!! She followed me home!! Seriously though... I looked at the outfits for a few minutes, which are $9.99 and $12.99 and I thought to myself "I can get an outfit and a whole doll for only $7 more!?" and, I tell you what, I am really good at talking myself into things. I need to stop taking myself shopping researching. Teehee. Not to mention, isn't she adorable!??!

So given that the outfits and the doll arrived at the Doll House at about the same time, I thought it would be fun for some of the dolls to welcome her in the clothes as they were modeling them!

Aren't they cute!? All the footwear are shoes and boots I already owned from other sets. Obviously they were trying to make 'look-alike' outfits for the Wellie Wishers Doll's Meet Outfits. I think they did a pretty good job really. So, if you're gifting a doll to someone and would like to give them a little wardrobe to go with it for less than $24, this would be a great option!

NEWS FLASH! Just went to the link to add the linky up there and saw that this set is currently on sale for $19.99! I'll hope it still is when you read this post and if you want to buy it!

New Glitter Girl Doll From Target And New Clothes For Her From Amazon!

Hi Doll Friends!

So... I went to Target.

And there they all were...

I tried to be good and just buy an outfit.... But...

The outfits are $10-$13... And... A whole doll is only $19.99 so....

Sarinia came home to the Doll House. I think the new Glitter Girls are just so cute!!! They are much more like Wellie Wishers, I think, with their happy expressions and bright eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love the first Glitter Girl sculpt too but... I can love them both, right?

Ironically enough I had purchased some 14inch doll clothes a few days before I found her and they happily arrived the same day as she did! Fun! So of course she was drafted as a model immediately. Yeah, that's right, move in my Doll House and I'll put you right to work! *giggles*

So this is how the box comes, pretty cute and would work for a gift.

The other side of box is same. I love how it says "Interesting costumes, my favourite". It just makes me smile for some reason.

Inside the box you find the clothes in a clear plastic bag.

When you get them out of the bag, many of them (mainly the skirts) are really, really wrinkled. But they smooth out well enough, I didn't iron any of them. (Me? Iron? Um... I have dust my iron every time I go to do it if that give you an idea of how often and how much I like to iron) One of the tops was even inside out.

But just look at that price!!! The quality, condidering the price, is really very good. I mean, it looks like they sew them together and just stuff them in the bag but, as you can see, they go on rather cute. They even had the bunny ears and a few sets of panties! Nice! It's only if you had a Granny like I did who was very very particular about sewing being done well that you'd likely comment on the quality. They look nice and all but the inside, the fabric was left with 'raw edges' that could potentially fray with a lot of childrens play... As an adult collector they are perfect really, but if you're giving them to a child, it might not hurt to reinforce some of the seams. I'll have to photograph the inside of a skirt so you can see what I mean. All in all though? I think this could be a fabulous little wardrobe for any little girl with a Wellie Wisher or Glitter Girl or other 14inch sized doll!

I've decided to name the new doll Brittanie after a good friend from Church. She looks just like her!!

American Girl Z Yang Accessories Set Score From eBay!

Hi Doll Friends!

I recently brought home Z Yang from American Girl Doll. I have never bought the 'accessories' pack from American Girl when I buy a doll because they are usually over $30. Which is utter madness in my opinion, especially since Maplelea Dolls and even Our Generation dolls generally come with the equivalent amount of accessories with the doll itself (and cost less!). I hate to be one of those 'American Girl isn't worth the money' but... They are the one's who keep decreasing their quality at the same time Our Generation is really stepping up their game big time!
Eh? I just report what I see, I don't make the dolls. Right?

So recently when I was on eBay, I noticed that one of my favorite sellers had a Z Yang accessories set.... For only $13.50!! The AG price is $33 (plus shipping!) so that is such a great price. This particular seller seemingly sells things that 'fall off the AG truck' in that they have always consistently been actual AG items, brand new and in good shape. However, it was the first time I'd seen a complete accessories set?! Normally it's bits and pieces of sets like this American Girl Doll Food I've bought in the past. But... It looked legit so I sent off my $13.50 and started watching the mail....

Ironically enough it showed up right about the time Z Yang arrived by only a few days... However, I'd already changed my Z Yang doll into another outfit. I always jokingly imagine that my new dolls can't wait to get out of their 'meet outfit' and don't really want to wear it again for a long time because it's the same outfit they were wearing when they were stuck in the box. *giggles* I know... Silly... But it makes me laugh to imagine it. So... In lines with that storyline, Miss Z did not want to put her Meet Outfit back on!! She begged me to let some other doll put it on and model the Accessories Pack. So, why not....

This photo is a little sneak peek at the Classroom Scene I am working on... So much fun!

Eunju volunteered to model them... She said to Z: "We could practically be cousins if not sisters so I will probably even look a bit like you in the outfit!" She looks utterly adorable in it I have to say.

Sadly, I've checked and it looks like the seller sold out of these.... Sometimes I feel like a bit of a jerk when that happens. "Look at this great deal I got! But you can't get it." Ugh. But I also wanna show you the set! Keep your eyes open on eBay! You never know what is going to 'fall off the truck' next. Eh?

Recent Thrift Store Treasure Hunting!

Hi Doll Friends!

Just a few photos of things I've spotted at Goodwill lately...

I bought the Melissa & Doug doll of course... I love my other Melissa & Doug Doll and couldn't resist her for only $1.99. Her dress is actually one from a Disney Animator Doll but I love those because they make great Halloween costumes for this size doll! The Hawaiian Hula doll was adorable but... A bit dingy and not really my style doll so I left her there.

I have a couple of chairs like these but not the bench... But... I left it there anyway. Only so much room!

This is a Barbie type house but I thought it was neat so I took a photo of it.

Here's another bench I thought was neat but didn't buy because I have so many and storage! As you can see, the little Melissa & Doug doll became my scale model. Yeah, that's right, if you join the Doll House Village I'll put you to work right away! Hahaha.

I kind of regret not buying this dresser... Rats. Oh well, I see similar ones often...

This little lady I found very interesting! Her face looked familiar somehow...

It's because she's a Madame Alexander doll! I didn't buy her because I don't really care for or collect baby dolls... But I had to show her to you!

I thought this little angels face was kind of interesting....

This CPK kind of made me smile too... You can tell she was well loved.

If I had endless storage this would've been cute to buy for Christmas time but... Space is finite.

This shelf almost came home... Being a Military Brat, I grew up with furniture like this in many of my friend's homes who've traveled the world. Sadly the little door hinge was broken... Maybe it'll get marked down... I'll keep my eye on it!

Cute little angel shaped tea set.... I should've bought it just for the adorable cups. Rats. Oh well, can't buy all the things!

This little figurine by Mary Engelbrieght (Spell?) isn't doll sized but I love love love Mary E and so i had to take a photo of it... I almost brought it home but I am not really a 'knick-knack' type person in my real life.... I try and keep that to the Doll House! I hate to dust! Hahaha!

Oh if this was only 18inch doll sized and not Barbie sized it would be so fantastic!

This little rocking horse was hard to pass up! I already have a rocking horse or I might have brought it home...

See? It works pretty well!

I saw these two little ladies but.... I have to stop bringing dolls home!! I have far too many!

This little Style Girl is so pretty! I have three already though so... She stayed there too.

Cute little doll bed was tempting but I think it would be too short even for the 14inch dolls so... I didn't get it but... So cute!

Better run!
Have a great day!
