A Surprise Gift From A Friend! Citi Pals New York Neena Arrives At The Doll House!

Doll Friends!

I have the most fabulous friends! I have a friend who is not 'in' to dolls in any way other than to listen to my mindless ramblings about them when I do go on... Teehee. Anyway, I mentioned to her when I found the Citi Pals on deep clearance at Sam's that I now had every single one of them, two of one of them even, except New York Neena. I'd passed her up when the first round of clearance because I already had a blonde hair blue eyed Citi Pal and I was trying to be reasonable. Teehee.

So my friend went to Sam's within days of the conversation and saw a New York Neena on clearance and bought one for me! Wasn't that the sweetest thing? I was so stoked! I unboxed her at my friends house and didn't think to take photos first but you've seen the boxes before I guess... Here she is after she came home to the Doll House with Salome who came to welcome her home.

I just think these dolls are so sweet! Now I have every single one of them. Which I am glad for because I went to Sam's the other day and naturally they had zero toys. I wonder if they'll pick up the line at Walmart? Bring them back next year? One lovely thing about the internet is that they are available for purchase from secondary market by vendors who buy toys to resell. Some people malign such folks but I figure everyone has to make a living and I am personally glad to have hard to find dolls available even if they are inflated in price. Everyone's gotta eat. Eh?

I better run!

Glitter Girl Outfits And the Mystery Of The Jumping Prices...

Doll Friends!

I've been trying ever so hard to be good... I told myself that this year I was going to reign in my compulsive doll spending. I mean I am not one for New Years resolutions but it seemed like a good target date to adhere to. Here we are not even two weeks in? Aaaaand... I've blown it already. Hahaha.

It's. Not. My. Fault.
Amazon is just out to get me! I was on there the other day shopping for something totally not doll related when... What should pop up in the 'add on' suggestions? Why Glitter Girls clothes no less... What?!?

This outfit set was one of the newer styles and came with the cute candy and it was only like $7.66? What?! So I naturally, you know, cos research, went to check out all the Glitter Girls stuff for prices and... A few other outfits were also in the "add on' suggestions!?

So that started about a 24 hour battle with myself... Putting them in the cart and then hitting 'save for later' and doing it again and then again. Teehee. However, the lovely thing about 'save for later'? It informs you every time you go to your Amazon cart if prices have changed since you put the item in your cart.

I've never seen the crazy price fluctuations that happened over that 24 hours... They just kept going down down down. A penny here, a penny there... I started taking 'print screens' so I could prove to you what I mean because otherwise I might've felt like I'd dropped into the Twilight Zone. Not even kidding...

Below are all the many price changes that happened during the time I was battling myself about buying more doll clothes... It's like Amazon kept going "Yesssss... but what if I make it even cheaper....?" I don't know if they are in the right order but these prices literally changed over like 24ish hours!

So I eventually broke down, put a few in my cart and went to the check out... I'm only human!

A couple of them were duplicates (the bottom two) of outfits I already had but you know me, I love me some twinning clothes!

So here are some of my lovely dolls modeling three of the outfits for you. I didn't get the fourth set out of the box, ran short on time and figured I'd better just take photos of the three in interest of getting this blog post done.

So... Such great deals! You may notice the set of ten doll panties in the order screen shot... I'll be back as soon as I can to tell you about those....

But am out of time! Gotta go get the family moving!
Happy Friday!

Citi Pals Dolls Marked Down To Under $10 Last Week...!

Doll Friends!

It's not my fault!!
When dolls are marked down lower than it costs to buy the outfits they are in...
I can't help myself. I got these last week when I went to Sam's Club... One of the days? I don't remember which. I almost hate to show you this because I am 99.9% certain they've sold out by now.

I'm gonna have to be able to explain to you why I have nearly every single one of the City Pal's Dolls though! Hahaha!

So here are my most recent three... The left one I paid $14.81 for the other day Then when I went back, they'd dropped to $9.71. I couldn't help myself but to buy the next two I really wanted.

They are so cute! I couldn't get the one on the left to stand up in the boots she came in no matter how hard I tried. So, she's barefoot. I don't have names for them yet... I'm sure I'll think of something. I've begun a little 'list' of possible name possibilities with names of people I admire or know and love, or both. I figure it's only a matter of time before the right doll strolls into the Doll House needing a name. Eh?

Outtake photo! LOL

Have a great weekend!

Battat Glitter Girls Eline Arrived At The Doll House!

Doll Friends!
Look who arrived on Tuesday? Eline, a Glitter Girl from Battat! She's so pretty!

I only ended up with three photos of her in the box before I took her out... Ooops. I grabbed her up early Wednesday morning on my way out the door to Bible Study hoping to get some photos at a pretty park on the way home...

So these are all I have of her in her box. I'll have to take a photo of the box later because it has a new photo of the new line of Glitter Girls on it.

One of her braids came loose when I unboxed her so... She has her hair down in these photos. As with the other Glitter Girls I own, I think she's fabulous.

I brought along Brittany and Brooklyn for photos too...

I had a dickens of a time trying to get the smaller girls to stand up for the photo because it was windy out... And hot... And buggy... So... Mostly I ended up photographing Brooklyn because she stands like a dream.

So I hope you enjoyed the photos! I better run!

Wellie Wisher Sized Wardrobe From Wakao For Under $23.00! Plus Glitter Girl Sarinia Joins the Doll House!

Hi Doll Friends,

So the other day I was shopping researching on Amazon and I had a product suggestion pop up... A small wardrobe of doll clothes for Wellie Wisher sized dolls for less than $23.00?! What?!

I am weak Doll Friends!! Before I knew what I was doing, Wakeo Doll Clothes Set was in my cart and I blinked at two days were gone and it was here...

They come in this cute little gift box... I love how it says "Interesting Costumes, my favorite". Adorable! Good, too, that they come in a gift box because you could wrap them and put them under the Christmas tree or give as a birthday gift to any little girl who's got 14inch sized play dolls like Wellie Wishers or Glitter Girls.

Other side of the box is identical except for a sticker with a bar code for inventory purposes.

Here is what the clothes look like inside the interior bag...

I wish I had thought to take a photo of them when I took them out but... They were very jumbled, wrinkled, some turned-inside-out... However, after smoothing out the skirts (the shirts were not really wrinkled, different sort of fabric) they look pretty great, I think. As for the quality? Well, that kind of depends on your standards and how rough you are with doll clothes. My Granny was a genius seamstress and so I probably have much higher standards than the average bear but...

I took a photo of the inside of one of the skirts so you can see what I mean. With this manner of material, you'd probably want a more finished edge than this if you're going to be handling it a lot. Otherwise it'll probably fray. They do make a product called 'fray check' that would probably help but if you're going to use it, make sure you are 1) an adult or 2) with an adult cos, as I recall, it's some pretty stinky stuff... I digress. So my point is, for an adult collector like myself who is careful with my doll things it will be fine and they all look lovely from the outside. If you're buying this for a child though? You might want to finish the edges for them.

However, given that it's $23 for FIVE OUTFITS, the quality is pretty great! I really love the tops and think they'll make great mix and matches with some of the Glitter Girl clothes...

Speaking of Glitter Girls... I went to Target the other day and....
Well....

I couldn't help it!! She followed me home!! Seriously though... I looked at the outfits for a few minutes, which are $9.99 and $12.99 and I thought to myself "I can get an outfit and a whole doll for only $7 more!?" and, I tell you what, I am really good at talking myself into things. I need to stop taking myself shopping researching. Teehee. Not to mention, isn't she adorable!??!

So given that the outfits and the doll arrived at the Doll House at about the same time, I thought it would be fun for some of the dolls to welcome her in the clothes as they were modeling them!

Aren't they cute!? All the footwear are shoes and boots I already owned from other sets. Obviously they were trying to make 'look-alike' outfits for the Wellie Wishers Doll's Meet Outfits. I think they did a pretty good job really. So, if you're gifting a doll to someone and would like to give them a little wardrobe to go with it for less than $24, this would be a great option!

NEWS FLASH! Just went to the link to add the linky up there and saw that this set is currently on sale for $19.99! I'll hope it still is when you read this post and if you want to buy it!

Better run!
