Sam's Club City Pal's Dolls On Sale! Plus Interesting Doll At Thrift Store!

Doll Friends!
Real quick here! I've wanted to come tell you but between computer glitches and Christmas busy-ness, I just didn't get a chance... But on Sunday, Christmas Eve Eve, I went into Sams for some Christmas stuff (pie is so much easier to buy from them, eh?) and low and behold what did I see? The City Pal's were on sale for less than $15!! I may or may not have snuck another one into my cart. Teehee... I have to go back to Sam's tomorrow (the 27th) for something else and I am hoping *crossing fingers* that there are still a few left and I can pick up one more with some Christmas money I got. Teehee... So we shall see... Have you gotten one yet?

They also had these but they were not on sale yet...

Then I also saw this cute doll and cute doll bed at the thrift store the other day... I thought she was very interesting... But being that it was a few days out from Christmas I left them both there.

Better run!

Battat Glitter Girls Eline Arrived At The Doll House!

Doll Friends!
Look who arrived on Tuesday? Eline, a Glitter Girl from Battat! She's so pretty!

I only ended up with three photos of her in the box before I took her out... Ooops. I grabbed her up early Wednesday morning on my way out the door to Bible Study hoping to get some photos at a pretty park on the way home...

So these are all I have of her in her box. I'll have to take a photo of the box later because it has a new photo of the new line of Glitter Girls on it.

One of her braids came loose when I unboxed her so... She has her hair down in these photos. As with the other Glitter Girls I own, I think she's fabulous.

I brought along Brittany and Brooklyn for photos too...

I had a dickens of a time trying to get the smaller girls to stand up for the photo because it was windy out... And hot... And buggy... So... Mostly I ended up photographing Brooklyn because she stands like a dream.

So I hope you enjoyed the photos! I better run!

Two More Beautiful Paola Reina Las Amigas From Frann!!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

As you may recall, recently my beautiful sister friend Frann sent me two beautiful Paola Reina Las Amigas Dolls to live in the Doll House! They have since gone on to have many adventures and are sure to be in many more to come. Knowing how much I loved the first two what did Frann do? She sent me two more!! They are absolutely stunning and I love them! Thanks so much Frann! You're so kind to me!!

Not only did she send me two new dolls, she also sent these exquisite one of a kind traditional Korean dresses!! So beautiful!!! She has a friend who makes them! I'll have to see how to get a link up if she is ok with that. Frann had two dresses made for her and her beautiful dollies and two for me. Twinsies!! I love our Twinsies Doll hobby! It's like playing dolls virtually even though we live so far away. How fun is that?

The dresses are so beautiful!!

And so are the dolls obviously. I love this one's adorable bob-with-bangs hair!! I think I've decided to name her Palakine. It is Hawaiian for Francine and since I named Hekele after myself in Hawaiian, this little beauty can be named after Frann in Hawaiian. Perfect! Right? I think so anyway.

I'm not sure what I'll name the other beautiful doll she sent. She's Hekele's twin only she's been customized into the glamorous beauty you see here! So gorgeous!

I'm sure I'll come up with something... I'm considering Hali... Hmmm...

No matter what I name her, isn't she gorgeous? She's dressed in a Wellie Wisher outfit and some cute sandles that Frann sent along with the dolls and dresses! They match perfectly I think!

Here is Hali and Hekele meeting for the first time.

Of course they were instant friends!

Carla came to meet Hali and Palakine too!

"Carla this is Hali, Hali meet Carla!"

"She just stepped away to powder her nose..."

"Maybe Hekele can model the other beautiful dress?" Hali suggests.

"I'd love to! I'll go change right now!" said Hekele

Meanwhile, Palakine came back from the powder room.

"Hi Palakine! I'm Carla! Nice to meet you! I love your dress!"

"You're going to have such a great time at the Doll House Village! We have so many adventures and slumber parties and barn adventures and trips to the Diner and and and...." gushed Carla

Hekele looks absolutely stunning in the blue dress!!

What an amazing gift!! Thanks again so much Frann! I love love love them!!

I'm sure you'll see all four of these beauties in many an adventure going forward...

Better run...

Melissa & Doug Victoria Ballerina Doll Thrift Store Score!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

Happy Friday the 13th! Hope that it ends up being the luckiest day of the year so far... Speaking of luck? As luck would have it, as I was leaving town after work yesterday, I stopped in to Goodwill. You know... Just to see what I might find.

When who do I see on the toy shelf, fully clothed with even her ballet shoes?? This lovely little 14inch doll made by Melissa & Doug! I've admired and had this doll on my wish list at Amazon for over a year now but she never quite made it into my cart due to my putting other dolls ahead of her in queue. On my wish list I had the brunette Victoria and I guess I didn't realize that she was also manufactured as a blonde and as a ginger as well. They all are named Victoria as best as I can tell... Although you likely know that the one that I brought home wasn't going to keep that name. What can I say? I like to re-name my dolls for the most part. Only one or two who've arrived with a name have kept it out of the, well, large amount of dolls I have living in the Doll House. Teehee. Do you like to re-name your dolls?

Here is the most amazing part of my find... She was marked only 99cents! Awesomeness!! The second most amazing part? It's like someone took her out of the box and put her directly into their Goodwill donation and drove her to the store. Why do I say that?

Well as I took her hair out of the scrunchie she was wearing (That is part of the 'meet outfit') I saw that her original hair bands hadn't ever been removed! What?! Who can even do that?! To get a brand new doll and not even brush her hair once before you give her away? Can't even imagine it, eh?

As you saw if you clicked on the linky, she is price pointed at about $30.00. So I got a really amazing deal on her. I literally paid less for her than the sales tax would've cost to purchase her on Amazon. (Because after the first of the year, they started applying sales tax to Amazon purchases. Boohoo! I digress.....)

This is what her original box would've looked like.

I don't know what you know about Melissa and Doug toys but they are generally top notch stuff. This doll is no different. I can tell just by holding her and picking her up that she's made to withstand real play from a child. She reminds me a lot of the American Girl Wellie Wishers. I didn't have much time to look her over last night but I'll hope today presents me with some time to do a comparison. Obviously even the full price of this doll is half of that of a Wellie Wisher. So this could be a good option for someone who's looking for a doll of comperable size and quality but at a more affordable price. Or it would make a good 'sister' or 'friend' doll to a Wellie Wisher if you're looking for one.

They also have a Celeste doll that comes in a different outfit but as best as I can tell has the same face sculpt. So another option to think of if you're looking at them and the girl you're buying one for would like a princess gown over a ballet ensemble.

So I am super stoked to have found her and to find her brand new with her entire meet outfit, what a score! I'll try and get back here soon to give you a better look at her.

Till Next Time!
