Battat Glitter Girls Clothes Ensemble Sets!!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

Early last month, I discovered you could buy Glitter Girls on Amazon. After having searched in vain for them at Target's brick&mortar store, I might have gone a bit nuts when I found them all available right there to 'Buy with just one click'. The outfits are priced pretty reasonably and the fact of the matter is all of my 14 inch dolls haven't had the most diverse wardrobe because, heretofore, finding 14inch doll clothes at a good price can be problematic. So... When I found them, I felt like I was being a very 'good girl' only ordering two dolls. Since I was good though, I decided I would focus on getting some outfits... And I may or may not have gone a tad bit overboard... Nah! I have a lot of dolls who need clothes! Right?

Battat did such a great job on both the dolls and their outfits. I am really impressed! It's so nice that each outfit comes with a pair of shoes/boots too! I dressed a few different brands of dolls in them so you could see how they fit on all of them. Left to right above is: Glitter Girl Shara Wellie Wisher Adylyn, HeartforHearts Juliessa, Style Girls *not named yet?*, Glitter Girl *not named yet*, Wellie Wisher Suzi and Heart for Hearts Lauryce doll.

Here are the outfits as they arrived in the packages. They all come with a hanger too which is great because obviously the clothes are smaller for this kind of doll and 18inch doll clothes hangers are sometimes too big. I'd go into a full blown review here but 1) I am short on time today and 2) I don't tend to like to reinvent the wheel so to speak. So instead I am going to give you this link to American Girl Ideas Review Of Glitter Girl Clothes.

Here are some photos of my girlies in the clothes.

Aren't they just the most darling clothes?

New Glitter Girl Doll From Target And New Clothes For Her From Amazon!

Hi Doll Friends!

So... I went to Target.

And there they all were...

I tried to be good and just buy an outfit.... But...

The outfits are $10-$13... And... A whole doll is only $19.99 so....

Sarinia came home to the Doll House. I think the new Glitter Girls are just so cute!!! They are much more like Wellie Wishers, I think, with their happy expressions and bright eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love the first Glitter Girl sculpt too but... I can love them both, right?

Ironically enough I had purchased some 14inch doll clothes a few days before I found her and they happily arrived the same day as she did! Fun! So of course she was drafted as a model immediately. Yeah, that's right, move in my Doll House and I'll put you right to work! *giggles*

So this is how the box comes, pretty cute and would work for a gift.

The other side of box is same. I love how it says "Interesting costumes, my favourite". It just makes me smile for some reason.

Inside the box you find the clothes in a clear plastic bag.

When you get them out of the bag, many of them (mainly the skirts) are really, really wrinkled. But they smooth out well enough, I didn't iron any of them. (Me? Iron? Um... I have dust my iron every time I go to do it if that give you an idea of how often and how much I like to iron) One of the tops was even inside out.

But just look at that price!!! The quality, condidering the price, is really very good. I mean, it looks like they sew them together and just stuff them in the bag but, as you can see, they go on rather cute. They even had the bunny ears and a few sets of panties! Nice! It's only if you had a Granny like I did who was very very particular about sewing being done well that you'd likely comment on the quality. They look nice and all but the inside, the fabric was left with 'raw edges' that could potentially fray with a lot of childrens play... As an adult collector they are perfect really, but if you're giving them to a child, it might not hurt to reinforce some of the seams. I'll have to photograph the inside of a skirt so you can see what I mean. All in all though? I think this could be a fabulous little wardrobe for any little girl with a Wellie Wisher or Glitter Girl or other 14inch sized doll!

I've decided to name the new doll Brittanie after a good friend from Church. She looks just like her!!

Temu Sells Dolls And They Are So Cute!

Hi Doll Friends!

This post has been in the works for months (I just checked and I got them on May 31st!) So it's been a minute since I got these dolls from Temu. Aren't they cute?

The one on the left really reminds me of Paola Reina Dolls. Her face sculpt really looks like one of theirs, I think. She is really cute, but her body is very 'cheaply' made. Think of those off-brand fashion dolls you find in the Dollar Tree that have hollow bodies. So I am not sure how long I'll keep her in my collection but it was fun to check her out. She cost me $12.59.

This one is really very nice. I paid $15.29 for her. I think it's cute how they made her box look a bit like Glitter Girl dolls. She's 10inches not 14inches and so obviously the box is shorter.

But look, the outfits on the back are total knockoffs of prior Glitter Girl fashions. Also, as you can see, the box came very 'mashed up' and her hair was a mess.

This is the other doll in her box. Pretty 'generic' doll box really.

As you can see, there are other 'models' of the same doll with different hair color options and outfits.

I decided to show you how similar this box looks to the Glitter Girl box. Same colors and layout. Isn't that funny?

Here is the Temu doll next to two of my 'real' Paola Reina dolls. As you can see, she's just a touch shorter. Still, very cute!

She really is very pretty.

Then as you can see, the other doll is the same height as this one.

Here she is with two Glitter Girls. I really love her little face sculpt though. I think she's a keeper.

Then as I was looking at Temu in July, I saw two more dolls I was curious about. Here they are (above) with my Ruby Red dolls. The second from left and far right dolls above are two of them. Aren't they pretty? They were $10.98 each. They are really pretty good quality considering the low price point.

They also have rooted hair which is very sparsely rooted. It is not a big surprise though considering

Here is what one looks like on Temu. Obviously, the price went up since I purchased them.

They didn't come in boxes, but rather just in these padded mailers.

And baggies. Luckily they didn't get damaged despite being so unprotected by a box or better packaging.

So... Temu Dolls can be fun and considering they aren't all that expensive, I can help but recommend adding them to your collection. Have any of you purchased dolls or doll accessories from Temu? As you know, I love their photography backdrops. I've also purchased tons of stickers, stamps and paper for paper crafting and card making. So it's become a bit of a guilty pleasure, putting in a little order when I get paid.

PS Here are the last two alongside several other similarly sized dolls in my collection. From left to right the brands are: Glitter Girls, Madame Alexander, Temu, Paola Reina, Ruby Red, (Drawing a blank on the one in orange, I'll find it and come back, Temu, Ruby Red and Wellie Wishers by AG.
