Doll Visits The American Girl Doll Hospital!

Hi Doll Friends,

So... quite some time ago I found am American Girl Doll at a thrift store. She was pretty beat up and sad-looking but I can't resist a doll in need of a rescue and makeover. However, once I got her home, she sat in a box for... a long long while. Then, when I pulled her out to take a look at her she had what I thought might be mold on her face. Oh no! That was beyond my skills as a doll customizer and rescuer. So, in some of my doll groups on Facebook, people talk about sending such dolls to the doll hospital. They said if they are 'too far gone' for their experts, they will likely send you a brand new doll. I'd always wanted to try the Doll Hospital to see how it worked and whatnot. However, I'd never before found a doll that I felt was too 'far gone' for me to not be able to fix them up myself even if imperfectly. So I thought this was the perfect time to try it.

Here she is 'before' I sent her in.

See that white stuff on her face? I think that is mold. I wasn't sure if she would have mold inside her head and/or in her body but I figured it might be a possibility.

So I boxed her up and sent her in (it's nice, they pay for postage both ways as part of the service). She must've been 'too far gone' for them to help because not too long later, she came back home. Brand new.

Here is the box they come in when they come home.

They dress them in a hospital gown and socks. They put a hospital bracelet on them too. So cute!

I didn't know, when I sent her in, what her name was but I thought she looked a bit like Cecil Ray and so that is what I put down on the paperwork. They actually emailed me to let me know she was actually a Truly Me #44 which I'm not sure they have anymore because she is not on their website.
They wrote down what I wrote on the Certificate of Good Health. Love it!

She's so pretty! I can't wait to get photos of her after I get her out of the hospital clothes.
So if you're considering sending a doll into the Doll Hospital, I highly recommend it. Such a nice service they offer.

Better run.

Bullseye eBay Store; Deals Too Good To Refuse!

Hi Doll Friends,

Ya'll...! It's kind of dangerous to be a member of Facebook Doll Groups. Haha. If there is a good deal to be had on dolls, you're certain to hear about it in the groups. So, recently someone mentioned Bullseye eBay Store. Now I don't know where or how they get their merchandise but it's almost like Target clearance. I mean deep, deep clearance. Because, ya'll, check out these prices!

Good prices from the jump and then free shipping too!
Say what?!
So I was helpless but to order up a couple just to see if they were actually new, in the box, Our Generation Dolls. They arrived pretty quickly and...
It. Totally. Was. True.
So now I have been having to resist buying more and more and more!! They get new Our Generation stuff nearly every day. Y0u have to be quick to snag the good stuff. So far I've resisted the temptation to buy one of everything. So, here I am, sharing the information with you.
You're welcome.
Hahahaha.
So, run, don't walk, to look for Bullseye Deals on eBay. They sell just about every single thing that Target does so even if you are not in the market for dolls, you might find some great deal.

Better run!

PS there is no 'mark' thru the UPC or anything so if you're wanting to give as a gift, there is absolutely no way to tell that these beautiful dolls don't come strait from Target.
 How can you go wrong?

Our Generation Doll Makeover With Cute Blue "Doll Of A Kind' Wig

Hi Doll Friends,

I love Periwinkle and Prism so much. Along with all the many other 'fun' colored wig dolls in the Doll House, like Aubrianna and Reprah, they are so much fun. So, when saw a fun short, curly blue sky wig on Doll of a Kind, when it was on sale, I just knew I had to pick it up. I didn't really have a doll in mind for it, I knew that the right doll would make herself known when I got the wig.

So I was looking at this thrifted OG Meagan and how I'd made her over to a new hair color that never really resonated with me. I didn't even make a post about it, only an Instagram post last year. (I stole these photos from there. LOL)

I mean she looks pretty but...
it just didn't 'wow' me the way I like custom dolls, where I say "exactly right!"

I hadn't glued it on yet so... I tried the blue wig on. And...

I really liked it!
What do you think? Here she is with Periwinkle and Eliana

So that is fun. Don't you just love customized dolls?

Better run!

Ruby Red Fashion Friends and Siblies Join the Doll House! Welcome Bella and Bailey!

Hi Doll Friends,

I've always wanted to get a Ruby Red Fashion Friend Doll... They are so pretty, having been sculpted by Dianna Effnor (RIP). She is the same doll sculptor that created my Maru and Friends Maru and Tanya which are some of the most beautiful dolls in my collection. They are also incredibly poseable with nine points of articulation, adorable outfits, painted nails, and beautiful wigs. However, the price point of $129.99 always gave me pause.

However, Ruby Red has its 5th Anniversary this year, and low and behold, they put the Fashion Friends on sale for only $49.99 and the Siblies (regularly $69.99) for only $29.99. When I found out about the sale, I just couldn't help myself, I went and bought one of each of them.

I mean, how could I not, right?

It wasn't too long before they arrived.

I loved them even more in real life!

So here they are, in the Doll House meeting a couple of the dogs.

Here they are meeting one of my Paola Reina Dolls from Frann.
  They make great friends!

Then they wanted to meet Ashlyn, one of my Wellie Wishers.

So sweet and photogenic! Great dolls all around!

I love them! I am so happy I was able to get them!

Better run!
