Introducing Periwinkle! American Girl 91 Joins The Doll House!

Hi Doll Friends!

I hadn't expected to buy a new American Girl Doll...
Then, on one of my many Doll Groups on Facebook, someone mentioned that American Girl 91 Girly Graffiti, was on sale. Not just on sale but on a really great sale. Like half off the regular price! How, I ask you, could I pass that up? I think it's great that she is called #91 because 1991 is the year I graduated from High School! I love that she has purple hair because that is my daughter's favorite color. So I ordered her and excitedly waited for her to arrive. In just a couple of days, she was at my house. I love Amazon, how did we ever shop online before them? Haha.

As you can imagine, I love, love, love her. I've decided to call her Periwinkle because that is a very pretty purple flower. I love flower names because both mine (Heather) and my daughter's (Lilly) names are. Below are the photos of her in her box... Then I naturally had to take her out for a few photos. I took Prism out to take photos with her because she was one of my very first American Girl Dolls and certainly my first with rainbow-colored hair! They made fast friends!

So, I am so happy I got her and at such a fantastic price!

Gotta run!
Have a great weekend Doll Friends!

American Girl Doll 2023 Catalog

Hi Doll Friends!

Since I got my Claudie Doll this year, I got back on the mailing list for American Girl Doll's Holiday Catalog. It just arrived in the mail this week. It was so much fun to flip through and see the new dolls. Once upon a time, when I was little, we somehow got a catalog in the mail for 'high end' dolls and I flipped through it so often that it nearly fell apart... When I was in my early 20's, when I thought I was too old for dolls *giggles*, I'd get the American Girl Doll Catalog just because I signed up for it. Even the Sears Roebuck catalog would come out every year and I'd spend hours looking at all the doll options in it. In recent years it seems print catalogs are becoming a thing of the past so... Suffice to say it was fun to get this one and look at all the beatiful dolls.

My favorites are probably the Shimmering Silver Holiday Doll because, well, she's gorgeous! I mean I don't think I can justify spending that much money on a doll. No shade on those people who save their pennies and buy her! I'm just more about buying 10 Our Generation Dolls or more doll clothes and accessories if I spend that. I also really love the Birthstone outfits. I love Isabel and Nicki Hoffman even though the 1990's being 'historical' makes me laugh. I graduated high school in 1991 and so I guess that makes me old but in denial about it. Hahaha.

Did you get the catalog? What were your favorite items?

Our Generation Camila! Finally Decided To Buy Her!

Doll Friends!

I've held off for ever so long on buying her but finally...
I just had to.
Our Generation Camila is so pretty and I love that she has braces. When I was little I really wanted to get braces! Haha. My older cousin, whom I idolized, had braces and I couldn't think of anything cooler. In hindsight I'm certain she didn't think so! She had the old school braces that would cut your mouth and she had to put in wax over them to keep from it. I never did end up getting braces... Luckily I had pretty strait teeth! Anyway, I've been looking at Camila ever since she was released and kept putting it off. Well, obviously Target had a sale I couldn't refuse. Isn't she gorgeous!

I better run!

Photography Session with American Girl Claudie and Our Generation Eliana

Hi Doll Friends!

So in my most recent post I told you how American Girl Claudie had joined the Doll House... Well I wanted to do a photo session with her and decided that Our Generation Eliana would be the perfect friend for her to have a photo session with since she was also sort of new to the Doll House. I don't even think I announced her arrival with a blog post so it's probably time for that anyway. I got her a few Target sales ago when they made too good a deal to pass up. I couldn't help it, I just love her face sculpt. It's the same sculpt as Juliet and Melina but with her light blonde hair (with pink highlights) she looks like a wholly different doll. I had to have her!

I changed her into an outfit I love that matched Claudies and photographed them in the Molly Scenes and Settings backdrops that I love so much. I think the photos came out wonderfully. I used my photography light (the old school white umbrella type) which you can see in this post of my old doll room from before I had my entire life change moved.  It makes the photos lighting perfect!

So I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Gotta run!
