New My Life As Doll Items At Walmart!!

Hi Doll Friends!

The 18inch Doll groups on Facebook are all talking about the new My Life As items coming out now at Walmart!! So I took a little trip to Walmart hoping to find some of the newer sets!

Here is what I found... I will write all about it as soon as I can but am posting this initially as a photo review because I know oftentimes photos can tell a lot of the story and I love to see the new items coming out when I can't find them in MY store... Even just photos. LOL So here was what was at my Walmart!

This 'Dog Stroller' was on sale for $5. I didn't buy it because... Dog stroller? Who strolls their dog in a stroller? Haha.

Here are the newer pets. They have cats and guinea pigs now.... Cute, but just as big as the dogs... That means mutant-like sized guinea pigs! Still, good for more variety!

Look! Bunnies too! Cute!

The pony and the horse were pretty!

Here is the wheel chair.

This is new and cute as a button... Not practical for me, it wouldn't hold a 5th of my doll clothes! Haha! But for most little girls with a reasonable doll wardrobe, it would be lovely!! Love that it has a place on one side to put the shoes!

Cute pull out sofa beds!

I've decided that, perhaps, someday, I might have to buy a couple of these beds... Because look how cute they are made into bunk beds!! I know... I have bunk beds... But I have a lot of dolls! haha!

This is the Fiesta Set. I bought it! Review to be posted soon!

Here is the new Vet Set. I LOVE it and plan to get it someday but the older one was on clearance and came with an outfit! So I will have it on my wish list... Love the little dog treats! Might have to try and make some of those myself out of playdoh or something becasue so cute!

I didn't buy smaller vet set because... Look how much more came with the clearance set for only $1 more.

The clothes just get cuter and cuter... So far I haven't bought even one outfit because the outfits are $10 and I am cheap... But now that they come with a few accessories each, I might be changing my tune. TOO CUTE!!

The Cayla doll is on clearance... I've never wanted one because it creeps me out that she can talk but... Depending on how cheap she gets?? Who knows... She's half her original price now.

In the party section! Would be great for Doll Party themed party favors!! I didn't buy a pack for some reason...? Next time!

They also had baby bottles... What do you think of scale? I decided probably too small for by baby sibling dolls but... Maybe I'll buy some sometime anyway... They have tiny bottles when they come home from hospital afterall... Right?

I am kicking self for only buying two packages of these!! I love them... Only 97c a pack I am definately going to buy more... They are perfect for the dolls!

I got fiesta set and the clearanced Snack Stand and a couple of the eraser snacks... Along with my Dollar Tree Tea Sets, I was able to make a pretty nifty little Snack Cafe.... More photos of it to come, was late when I got it all set up!

Gotta run...
Till next time!!

Heather and Frann Go Play Tennis!

Hi Doll Friends!

Heather and Frann were looking through the sports equipment in the Doll House and came across the tennis rackets...

So naturally they decided to go play! They were delighted to find the two tennis outfits in the wardrobe too!

Don't they look cute? Unfortunately they forgot to grab the camera on their way out the door to the tennis courts! They had a wonderful time though! Frann had more experience playing tennis than Heather and she gave her some great pointers!

What are your Dollies up to today?
Better run!
Till next time!

Princess And Me 18inch Doll Ariel Make-Over

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

First off, once again, I have accidentally left this post in my 'Drafts' without meaning to... Writing a blog is a sort of multi-faceted thing. There is finding things you want to write about, photographing them, writing blogs, updating Pinterest board, updating Facebook page... I love it all but it does tend to sometimes make you miss a 'step' in the process of getting a blog posted. Hence, my missplacing drafts sometimes. See, as I take the photos, I am pretty much writing the blog in my mind as I take photos... So it's almost as if it's done already but it's just a matter of getting it typed out. I am rambling here... My point is, I posted this draft a couple of weeks ago and am just now getting here to tell you the story.

As many of you know, I find orphan dolls at thrift shops quite often... Which I love to do, especially when I can take a doll that has been through Toy Box Horrors and bring her back to her lovely self. One problem a person who's good at finding dolls such as these, though, is that often times you find duplicates of dolls you already have at home... Hmmm... To buy or not to buy? I am sure you know the answer to that question when I ask it of myself is usually 'to buy!!' Usually, if they are dressed, the outfit alone is worth the cost of the doll... I don't really want to have a lot of duplicates in my doll house though... I have enough dolls as it is without having two of any of them. You know?

So that combined with my recent sort of 'obsession' with re-wigging dolls became the subject of this post. Here is Ariel with a wig I tried on her after I shore off her regular hair...

You see, I already have a Princess and Me Ariel and didn't 'need' another one. This one I found at Goodwill had on this great dress (I am adding it to my Halloween Costume cache!) and was in good shape... She only cost $1.99!

But only needing one Ariel, I instantly knew I would see how she looked with alternate hair!

Her hair before was in ok shape, I could've sorted it without too much trouble but knowing it was coming off, I just left it in it's pony and sheared it off with scissors.

This wig was just a 'try on' that ended up being glued on to another doll... (see upcoming post) Ariel is currently wearing a strawberry blonde wig but I apparently forgot to photograph her in it so stay tuned for an update of this post to include a photo of what will likely be her permenent hair!! I thought she looked pretty great here with the short red hair but I bought this wig for a different doll and so she couldn't keep it. I like the strawberry blonde wig she is currently wearing but haven't glued it on yet so I must still be ambiguous about it. (I know I've committed to a wig for sure when the glue goes down!)

That's it for now doll friends!
Till next time!

Dollar Tree Tea Sets and Play Money For 18inch Dolls!

Hi Doll Friends!

I went into town today on an errand and stopped into the Dollar General. Sometimes you can find doll sized items there and at $1 an item, it's always fun to have a look.

What did I find today? These adorable little tea sets FrannDoll is modeling! They are nearly perfectly sized and pretty cute! I bought two so I'd have a service for eight... Naturally after getting them home and seeing how cute they are out of package I wish I would've cleaned them out so I could give away as gifts or sommat. Cos, cute! It might even be fun to try painting them... So maybe I'll buy more some other time. They are not heavy at all but seemingly sturdy enough for an older child to play with and enjoy.

Aren't they cute! They also had sets with the exact opposite colors. (Pink cups with purple plates etc)

The other item I found was this package of "money" stickers. Meant for teachers I imagine... I am using them as money for the dolls! I simply stuck two stickers together, sticky to sticky, and it makes a nice durable doll sized bill! So cute. Sturdier than the printables and durable enough for older kids to play with quite a bit I imagine. The six sheets should make enough cash for all your dolly wallets and purses! Fun!

So head to your local Dollar Tree and find some great doll sized items yourself! I also saw cute doll sized pot and pan sets but have enough doll pans for the dolls to compete on Masterchef!!

Better run!
Till next time!

The Dollies Go to a County Fair Parade!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

The County Fair in the county we live in had their fair this weekend! One of my favorite things about country fairs is the parades! The floats, the bands, the candy... So much fun to be had!

A few of the dolls found out about the parade and really wanted to watch!! FrannDoll was so excited to go watch that she forgot to put on her shoes as we went out the door! Luckily it's summer and shoes are totally optional. She and LeanneDoll found a good spot to watch!!

FrannDoll had found a good spot before but decided it wouldn't be enough room for the whole group to get a good view of the parade.

Oh my goodness here comes the first Marching band!! They are LeanneDoll's favorites!

MyfanwyDoll finally made it out, just in time to see the beautiful giant American Flag go by!

Another band!! What a great parade!

Finally HeatherDoll made it out... She got to chatting with the other dolls and missed half the parade!

But she made it there in time for the float all the dolls decided was the funniest... The one with the giant Pizza Man!

HeatherDoll was so glad she didn't miss all the marching bands because she loves them too!

The last to go by were the horses and FrannDoll was glad to see that because she loves horses! So much fun for the Dollies to get to go to their very first Parade! They went back to the doll house and stayed up for hours telling the other dolls all about their adventure!!

Better run!
Till next time!
