Ilee and Valeria and Our Generation Collection Updates...

Hi Doll Friends,

Recently I've had a few blog posts I posted somewhat 'incomplete' in vein of just getting them posted.. Sometimes I am so excited to show you something that I can't make myself take the time to take additional photos or what not. So... Here are links to three posts I've updated today.

Journey Girl Ilee has more photos on the post about her coming home to the Doll House.

Our Generation Woodworker Doll Valeria got some more photos too and a new name. She will be called Blue.

Our Generation Collection... So Far... is finally done!! Or as done as it is going to get for the foreseeable future. I think going forward I am simply going to add new dolls to that post because that took some doing. Haha. I knew I had a lot of Our Generation Dolls but underestimated how long it would take to get them all photographed. Teehee.

So go check out the post updates if you're so inclined.
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! (or weekday if that is when you read this..)

Belated Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends,

I meant to get this posted yesterday but was having trouble getting the photos to upload... So, in the spirit of 'better late than never' I am saying Happy St. Patrick's Day a day late... Or 364 days early too I suppose. Teehee. I hope you had a wonderful one!

Juliet looks so pretty in this green dress I thought. She's wearing a little green hat I got at (in a pack of five) at the Dollar Tree.

Till next time!

My Life As Doll Aquarium Adventures Accessories Set From Walmart

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

A few weeks ago my sweet husband brought home a suprise gift... Because he's just sweet to me and he saw it and thought I'd like it. I sure do love that fella! I'm so lucky to have him. The set he brought me was the My Life As Doll Aquarium Adventures set. It is one of the new sets this year and it is so cute!

Here are Lorilai and Prism showing off the new aquarium.

Here is the set in the package it comes in.

Another less 'shadowy' photo of same...

The back of the box. Angie was kind of thrilled to see her photo as the model for the set. Teehee. She's such a pretty doll.

Here is what some of the pieces look like in the blister pack...

As you can see, the fish (and shells) all have little plastic 'buttons' (I can't think of a word for them...? I literally sat here and thought about it... 'posts'? 'bumps'? 'pegs'?)... Whatever you may call them they can attach to the sides and bottom of the aquarium whereever you want them to go... Kind of like the ships in the game Battleship fit into the playing board in that game. Clever idea really.

As you can see, the aquarium fits into the dolls bedroom perfectly!

Here is Prism holding the fish food. It has a handle and so the doll can hold it by themselves without any clear rubber bands to help.

And the little fish net is also very doll friendly. Here is Lorilai ready to capture some fish so she can clean the tank...

I think it's pretty nifty and looks pretty realistic. If you keep a real fish tank very clean, it can look like this...

From the top...

See the little holes for the fish and shell pegs to fit into? The little plants also have pegs so they can be moved where you want.

All put back together... It's a really great set I think especially considering it's only $8.00. It'd be a great gift for the doll loving person in your life too!

So cute!

So if you see this set while you're out and about, pick it up for the doll loving person in your life. Even if that person is yourself. Teehee. They'll be happy you did.

Happy Friday!

A Fond Farewell Toys R Us!

Doll Friends,

I am sure you've read the news, as I have, about Toys R Us closing all thier US Stores. I am so sad about this news. It's the end of an era for sure... I know it's online shopping that has likely been the catalyst for their demise. As a frequent online shopper, I feel a tiny bit wretched about likely being part of the cause. *sigh* I suspect many 'brick and mortar' stores will follow suite soon enough. People are just shopping differently than they once did. I'll try not to feel too badly as I have purchased nearly their entire Journey Girl line and I don't even want to discuss how much money we've spent on Lego's in that store. Toys R Us was the last big chain toy store left though and so it's really sad to think that no child will ever walk into a magical store filled to the rafters with nothing but toys toys toys. I don't know about you, but I can barely walk into the building without singing jingle from the Toys R Us commercial of my childhood. Who wouldn't want to be a Toys R Us kid? Right? So, on our way to church yesterday evening, my daughter and I decided to stop in for old times sake and take what will perhaps our last walk through Toys R Us. *sob* Seriously, I just got a sad feeling in my heart as I typed that... End of an era for my girlie and me too... She's growing up so fast!! I digress... I guess I should've taken photos of more of the rest of the store when I was there... But nope. I just photographed the American Doll Section. Teehee. That's one thing I'll miss is that I could just walk in and see the AG items in person and buy them without shipping charges. (Don't you just hate paying shipping charges?!?) So, here are the photos I took during our visit.

It really is kind of like having an American Girl Doll Store in town.

As I was taking the photos I was thinking "I wonder if they'll sell these nifty plastic display boxes?!" Cos how neat would it be to set up scenes that stayed more dust free? Terrible I know... Already looking to clear the store out of thier neat items. Who am I? A monster?! Hahahaha. Still, they are pretty cool! Even to display collections of dolls... Me wants! I wonder if you can buy such things on the market elsewhere... Hmm... I digress... Again...

This little pop up camper is cute but honestly I like my Our Generation camper better... And the price of mine wouldn't pay the taxes on this one so, yeah, I love mine.

Our Generation just came out with a very similar ice cream cart too... American Girl is going to have to step up thier game if they want to stay the industry standard. Just saying... Right?

Poor dear fell over and I couldn't reach her to stand her back up...!

Um... Where are the dolls in this scene? It's like they ran to the kitchen to get something to drink or something. *amused*

I'd seen this before a long while ago but was shocked to discover how this little Wellie Wisher playhouse isn't really all that much nicer than my wood Doll House from Sam's Club that I got for like 10% of the price of this one... I actually think I like mine better because there isn't parts of it that are plastic like there are on this one.... Hmmm.... Interesting.

Pets!!

Someday.... She will live in the Doll House... Someday...

How sweet.

So that's it for now Doll Friends! What is your favorite thing about Toys R Us? I am thinking perhaps I will step up my plans to get a few more Journey Girls to as soon as possible before they are gone forever.

Till next time!

My Our Generation Doll Collection... So Far...

Hello Dear Doll Friends!!
I am never ever ever ever ever going to get done with this post... Hahaha. Kidding! But it certainly feels like I won't! It's 'eating' up a whole lot of by blog time and is making me feel 'empty handed' for want of anything to post for ya'll. So... I am posting this partially done. Not a word written really yet but about... I don't know... Half the photos? Apparently I light Our Generation Dolls or something. Teehee. How can I not though? They really are such amazing dolls for the cost in my opinion and there are so many cute ones. I am posting this partially done but so you don't have to come back and 'check' to see if I 'finish' it, I'll make a mini-post the day I finish it with a linky back here to make it easy for you. So here you have what I've gotten posted so far!

Happy Tuesday!

**Updated March 18, 2018**

Hi Doll Friends,

I finally got back here and I think I have all my Our Generation Doll's posted here finally. Well, as I type that I remember I just saw my Becky Doll sitting in my Doll Car yesterday and therefore totally missed the census here. I'll add her later at some point. Some of the doll's here don't have names yet and so their names aren't noted. At the outset of doing these posts I thought I'd try and link back to when each individual doll arrived at the Doll House but I have realized if I do that I will never ever ever get this posted, for reals. So, if you have any questions about any of the dolls please do ask in the comments and I'll be happy to give you any information.

Have a great day!
