Weekend Doll Camping Trip!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

So in my last post about my OG Camper find at Goodwill I mentioned I'd taken some dolls out for a camping trip outside but that my photo's had apparently not uploaded via the app. So I am back to show you the photos! I figured I'd just make a whole new post so I can also say Happy Friday! 

Who went on the camping trip you ask? Frann and Frank, Heather and Josh and Lilly tagged along too! 

See? There's Lilly hanging out in the camper. 

Here Josh and Frank are looking under the hood of the new car! Is that something all guys do when they look at new cars? I think it must be.

Frank decided to take Frann for a ride on since it was such a beautiful day!

Heather Josh and Lilly would stay at the camp ground and get the fire going for BBQ.

"Bye ya'll!!"

"Have a fantastic drive!!"

And off they go...

This is the first 'trip' the car has ever been on! How exciting!

They drove and drove and drove....

After they saw many sights, they decided to head back to the camp...

"Hi ya'll! Did you have a nice drive?"

Lilly had made some muffins while they were gone...

As you can see, puppy Zoey had woken up from her nap and joined everyone outside too! Josh asked Frank how the car handled on the drive?

Frank told him it was awesome...!

Frann said she'd get out and let Josh and Frank go on a short drive while she hung out with the girls...

They decided to open the rumble seat and take Zoey along for the ride. She loves riding in the car!

And away they went...

Soon enough they were back and Josh cooked some shimp kababs! Lilly doesn't like shrimp and had plans to meet a friend for dinner and so was reading in the tent with Zoey to keep her company. 

The kababs took very little time to cook and soon enough...

They were enjoying them.

Lilly suddenly realized how late it had gotten and jumped on the scooter to rush off and meet her friend!

Much later in the evening, everyone was famished from taking a long hike and so they decided to make burgers as a midnite snack! Isn't camping fun that way? Lilly went to bed early because camping wore her out!

Josh and Frank manned the grill while Frann and Heather got the sides and condiments ready...

What fun camping is, huh?

The burgers are almost ready! Look at those grill marks!

They got them all plated up and put the coffee pot on to warm up...

They were all amazed that Lilly could sleep through all their chatter! Even though they were trying to be quiet.... The fresh air must've just knocked her out.

"Do you both want ketchup and mustard on your burgers?"

They sat down to eat and talked late into the night around the little fire... What a great camping trip! Have you been on any this summer?

Belated Labor Day Camping Trip Post!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends,

I am finding that one hazard of having started making YouTube videos is that I end up making the video and thinking "I'll post the blog post later..." and then, in my mind, because the video is posted perhaps, the blog post becomes 'checked off' in my mind. So I nearly even deleted these photos before coming here to post them because I'd made the YouTube video! So, my new plan is to post all photos to blog immediately upon editing... I am rambling. I am sure that was a boring paragraph! Haha! Suffice to say I am trying to figure out how to navigate covering all the different manner of social media that is modern life for my little blog here. 

Anyway, on with the photos from a camping trip some of the dolls took over the Labor Day weekend. 

Here is their camp site, nice and private!

The girls who went were Francis, Radel, Sasha and Angela. 

They just love the new camper and couldn't wait to get it out at the camp grounds!

Here are Angela and Sasha getting some food ready... The little RV kitchen is so handy!

Radel and Francis are getting the tent set up for later...

What is it that makes food taste so much better when you're camping?

Am I right? Even apples taste amazing!

Angela made some delicious muffins for the trip... YummO!

Francis and Sasha are talking about taking their sleeping bags and sleeping directly under the stars!

Radel and Angela decide they are going to take a little hike...

They take the lantern just in case they get lost in the woods. I think perhaps they've seen one too many scary movies. 

But they didn't get lost after all and were seemingly back at camp in no time!

Dolls Take A Weekend Camping Trip!!

Hi Doll Friends!

Happy Friday! It's been a fast moving week! Who am I kidding? Aren't they all? All the same I am so glad it was because I am ready for a weekend and some R&R! Speaking of weekend R&R, some of the dolls took a lovely camping trip last weekend to get just that. Here are some photos from their trip! Doll photography is quickly becoming one of my favorite aspects of my little doll hobby. It becomes more and more fun as I add more members and 'accessories' to the Doll House and learn new tricks as I go. 

I also love making YouTube videos of the photos in progressive order. Not 'stop motion' (because I don't think I'll ever have the patience for that!) but just photos in order that tells a story... More like a comic book or graphic novel. I worry a bit that them not having any audio will make them less appealing to the viewer (well, they have the cheesy canned music that comes with the editing app on my phone) but I make them as much for myself as for anyone. Hahaha. I can put the videos on my huge TV and leave them on as like a 'screen saver' during the day while I work. (I am an admin who works from home four days out of five) So as I am on conference calls or just working through my day I can glance up and get inspired to take more photos. Yes, I am a dork. But we've already figured that out long ago and so... I repeat myself. Hahaha. Golly do I ramble or what? In any case, I have considered adding 'words' to them in the old school 'silent movie' type way, where I'd make text boxes to insert between the photos to tell the story better but so far... I haven't done it. What do ya'll think of that idea? 

So here are the photos of the doll camping trip from last weekend! They even brought the motorbikes! They didn't have those for last years trip. 

It was Josh, Lili, Heather, Keltie, Frann and Frank. Oh and Grace the dog came along too! So... I hope you enjoy the photos and also have some wonderful R&R this coming weekend yourself!
