More Baby Sitting Club Photos with New Baby Bed!

Greetings Doll Friends!!

When I finished up the posts about the Baby Sitting Club at the Doll House and the Gi Go Babies I had planned to pack away all the 'baby sibling' gear and babies for a while and focus on other things. As luck would have it, I found one more new accessory for the baby sibs that I had to show you.

I had looked at this Circo Baby Doll Bed set back when they sold it at Target for like $20ish. I didn't buy it then because I wasn't as 'in' to dolls and I didn't want to have to store it. Since then I've apparently thrown caution to the four winds on that score! Haha. So I always thought, with regret, that I hadn't picked up one back when they were cheaper and readily available at Target. However, perhaps it was providence!!

Because I found the little bunk bed part at Goodwill in perfect shape (like new I am telling you!) for only $1.99!! I already have a few Circo Baby siblings that I'd purchased 'alone' or with other sets so I didn't really need any more of those and I have also found little 'riding' toys elsewhere...

So I had to add the baby bed to my Baby Sitters Club scenes before I packed it away! What do you think?

I also moved a lot of the babies around but little Heidi doll I tend to always pose reading... Just cos I think she is so adorable holding a book.

I also left Jacxine pushing the Battat baby because I thought they looked so adorable and 'real'.

I forgot to add this cute toddler sized doll my daughter gave me from her own dolls when she was clearing out into the scene... I'll have to tell you more about her another time because she's pretty cute!

This little cheerleader also didn't make the cut into the Baby Sitter Club scenes before because, well, I kind of forgot I had her and the other one above... I would never say I have too many dolls but maybe I am getting close to having 'enough'? Teehee. Probably not. Hahaha.

Isn't she cute? Better run! Monday has arrived and I have cats to herd... Oh, I mean kids to get to school. Have a great one!

Till Next Time!

Babies! Babies! Babies! Baby Siblings for 18" Dolls!

Greetings Doll Friends!

So I dropped in to say hi to a friend at my favorite Thrift Shoppe and low and behold I found these two little baby dolls! They were same size as Heidi, the baby sister doll I'd recently gotten for the Doll House! I brought them and all the rest of the stuff you see here and paid $3 for all of it! So the babies were 50cents each! I won't lie, I kind of bought the 2nd one intending to steal it's clothes and re-donate but then I decided it might be fun to have twin sibling babies in the Doll House!

Not bad for $3!! The babies were brand new. There were six on the shelf and I think they must've been used for decorations at a baby shower because they'd never been played with at all. Their hats were still stitched to their clothes!

Aren't they cute?! I put Heidi's dress on one of the twins and put Heidi in a nightgown I got off a doll I re-donated (forgot to photo!) They are perfectly sized to be baby siblings for the Doll House! They are the Circo Mini Babies from Target and are about $4 new. So 50cents isn't too bad.

Then... This past weekend we had to go to ToysRUs for a gift for someone and I found these cute babies!! I had intended to go to Target to perhaps get a few more Circo Babies because after I got the ones at the thrift store, I found out that, of course, other bloggers had long ago discovered the Circo babies at Target and them being great baby sibs for the 14"-18" doll set. The ones at Target come with accessories like a baby seat and a tub and so I may yet... But... Back to ToysRUs. I was in the baby doll area looking for the gift I mentioned when I saw these babies!

I am all about diversity in dolls and face molds and so I and to get them... There are a few others too... Hmmm... They are really inexpensive too! The dolls by themselves are $4.99 the set with the baby, high chair and bottle was $9.99. I've decided I don't like the high chair and won't keep it. It's too short. But the doll that came in it had the cutest face and it had the bottle so... I went for it.

I've decided that both of these ToysRUs ones are going to be boy babies. They are the tiniest bit more robust than the Circo Twins and so... Boys!

This little guy had the cutest face!

Looks like Farley has her work cut out for her! That is a lot of hungry babies!

Good thing Eliza joined the Doll House and loves babies!!

That's it for now Doll Friends!
Till next time!

Vintage Battat Baby; A Baby Sibling for 18inch Dolls

Hi Doll Friends!!

I have several 8inch baby siblings for my dolls... One Heidi Ott, several Circo babies and some from ToysRUs. From what I understand, American Girl once made a baby sibling for one of their historical dolls... However, I never realized until recently that Our Generation/Battat also made baby sibling dolls!

I know because I found one at a Thrift Store! For only 50cents!

When I first picked her up I didn't realize she was a Battat, just knew she was right size for a sibling doll... Popped her in my cart, bought her and brought her home.

She came naked... But I had a spare out fit to put on her. As you can see she has sleepy eyes.

Isn't she cute?

She can stand, propped, and look just like a toddler.

So of course I had to research! The following photos are ones I found of how she originally came.

There was a baby carrier so the big sibling could carry baby around.

Looks like it came in two varieties in this sort...

With a different line, maybe a different year? They had three varieties.

You could also purchase outfits for baby separately.

This one was actually on eBay but too rich for my blood cos it cost like $20!

Cute clothes though!

Then I was surprised to see they had released a more modern version and it appears the baby face sculpt is different. Another thing to add to my "look for" list!

I'll have to do a post of all my baby sibling dolls soon! I have several... Imagine that? Teehee. As an older sister myself with brothers eight and ten years younger than myself, it just makes sense to have baby sibs in the house!

This photo makes me smile! So sweet!

Till next time!

Babies Babies Babies!! Baby Siblings For The Dolls Abound!

Doll Friends!

Circo 8inch Baby Dolls are no longer sold at Target. At least the last time I checked... So, every time I see them at Thrift Stores or Garage Sales, I can't help myself but to pick them up. I may or may not have too many...? Teehee... Not if I am going to do another Baby Sitting post (or two) if I am going to create a Daycare Scene someday... Eh? But even then, I may have a few too many baby dolls this size.. Or not. All a matter of perspective, that, I suppose, right?

These (the ones above and this photo below) are babies I've picked up here there and the other place since the last time I made a post about babies on the blog...

So the other day I pulled them all out and wanted to launder their clothes and maybe try and use some of them to figure out a simple pattern to make clothes for the ones who arrived with no clothes at all. I laughed and noticed how many of the Circo's had accumulated after I put them all in a doll carrying case while I washed all the clothes.

Here they are... I laughed as I lined them up so TypeA without even thinking about them... Blue eyed baby then brown eyed baby then blue then brown then blue.... Etc.
I guess having this many is a little excessive so I gandered at them on Ebay to see what they were going for... Just to see if it would be worth selling any of them and...
I tell you, when dolls are discontinued, no matter their size, they end up being worth more... It's uncanny...
So... I might sell a few on eBay...? I've decided I need to not buy any doll items anymore unless I am going to sell current things in my collection. Because space and also to keep myself honest... So...
Maybe I'll list them on eBay for what I think is a decent starting bid and see what happens?
Who knows? Lately my 'follow-thru' has been dismal...
*sigh*
I'm still working on the Etsy Shoppe inventory building... I probably have 30 items or so made but need to take photos of them and then get them listed and...
As I mention in this post, I've been struggling a bit lately...
So... Maybe someday it'll all get done.
Right?

I better run, time to herd the cats!
(i.e. Get teens outta bed and out door for school. Hahaha)
Have a great day Doll Friends!

American Girl Doll Sized Shopping Buggy Goodwill Find!

Doll Friends!

Oh. My. Cute.

I found this adorable shopping buggy at Goodwill for only $3.99. How could I not? Right? Walmart has a My Life As Doll Shopping Cart but 1) it's $12.99 and 2) I don't think it has a 'seat' for the baby doll? However, for $3.99, I couldn't resist.

This baby is a Circo baby girl doll that I added a wig to. I nearly giggle every time I look at her cause I think she's just that cute. I need to find a tiny bow for her hair. Isn't she adorable just chillin' in the buggy?

Isn't it adorable? I'll have to see about getting a 'grocery store' background someday because that'd make some really awesome photos. Everyone's gotta eat, right?

Better run!

Summertime Travel to South Dakota!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends,

I took an impromptu trip to the gorgeous state of South Dakota recently.
Was such an impromptu trip that I *gasp* didn't even think to take one doll with me!?
What?!
I know!
I was so annoyed with myself. So...
What did I do? I found a local thrift store called Savers and was lucky enough to find this gorgeous Our Generation Doll for $4.99! I splurged and went to a local Target and bought her a little outfit since she came with no clothes at all.
Then I took her with me on my morning walks while I was there and to a beautiful place called Falls Park in Sioux Falls.

As you can see, I also got a couple of Disney Baby Dolls in little baby sibling size as well as another Circo Baby. What can I say, I can't help myself when I see dollies!

I just love taking doll photos!
Have you taken any trips recently?

Sorry for short post! Life has me so busy lately!
Till next time!
