Drawing For Doll Outfit For December!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

Happy December!! This month I've decided to have my drawing for a freebie doll item early in the month... So perhaps if it's a Mommy out there who'd like to have it to wrap up to put under the Christmas Tree, it'll make it there in time. What is the drawing for this time? This cute little doll outfit is from Pink Butterfly Closet on Amazon!

Now when you look at the packaging above, the words "Pink Butterfly Closet are upside down but honestly, that's how it came packaged and I wanted to be able to say it's brand-new and never opened or I might've opened it up to turn it right. This outfit came as one of three outfits I purchased recently off of Amazon in a three outfit set.

Here is the back of the outfit. As you can see, the top has a velcro closure and the shorts have cute little 'belt loops detail. 

The set of three outfits arrived like this, in a big plastic bag with three outfits in it, all in their own little bag. I thought the price was good for three outfits, $24.95 and hadn't heard of Pink Butterfly Closet before so... I decided to give them a try. I knew when I ordered them that one of them would be a prize for my monthly Doll Drawing! I wasn't sure which to choose because they were all so cute. So I had my husband shuffle them around in a box and I pulled one out... And the one with the white top and pink shorts was the one I grabbed.

All three of the outfits were very cute and well made. The two I opened were very cute on dolls too!

Here is Prism and Amya modeling them for you!! Aren't they cute? One thing I have to mention that I found a bit odd was that one of the outfits, the purple one with aztec motif, is the only one of the three that didn't have a velcro closure on back of shirt. So I had to pull it down over Amya's head. I was able to do it without too much trouble but I think it would prove tricky for a child to do. So if you buy this set for your daughter, prepare to help her dress dolly when she wants this outfit on. Otherwise, the quality is wonderful and they are bright and colorful and have cute details. So I think they are a good deal really since they come to a little over $8/outfit (with AmazonPrime and free shipping). That's cheaper than the My Life As Doll outfits at Walmart and I think these outfits are a bit better quality than those.

Drawing to Win an American Girl Doll Tshirt and Leggings!!

Recently I put an order into American Girl Doll and got a couple of pretty red American Girl Doll Tshirts for a good price... I chose the Tshirt that says American Girl Kansas City because that was the closest location to where I live. Since it was such a good price, I actually bought three! One of them I purchased with the plan of using it as a drawing prize! I also recently went on a bit of a doll leggings buying blitz on eBay. Well, I decided one pair of the leggings would be set aside to go with the tshirt in the drawing. Here are Frann Doll and Heather Doll modeling the tshirts and leggings I have. I decided not to give away a pair of leggings with flags all over them because I didn't think that would be a style that would please a broad range of people. So, I chose a pattern that I thought would also look cute with the top. 

So below is the tshirt and leggings that the drawing is for... Both new in package and of course the hanger is included as well so you'll have a way to hang up your new top!

Win Two Upcycled American Girl Doll Ensembles!! A Drawing!

The last two drawings have been so popular that I've decided to do a third! I am not sure if I'll keep doing one a week indefinately but I think I'll do one next week to make it a solid month... Then, going forward, I've decided it'll be a once a month drawing just so I can stay on top of it. How does that sound? 

So for this weeks drawing I am giving away these two upcycled doll ensembles. I wrote about how to make them here and asked in that post if people would think they would make a good drawing give away. Well, two people said they thought they would. Drawing For Frozen Themed Doll Outfit For April!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

For this months Drawing I have a Frozen Olaf Themed Outfit! I got a great deal on some doll outfits on Etsy and new even as I ordered that one of them would be for a drawing! What fun is getting a good deal on doll stuff if I don't share with my sweet Doll Friends?

Here is Radel Doll holding the outfit that will be given away in the drawing. She and Prism are both wearing outfits of same style that were made by same seamstress as the Frozen outfit. That should give you an idea of how it will fit your dolly. Such a cute style!

It's a two piece outfit that includes a cute peasant type top with an elastic kneckline and an elastic waisted skirt both in the same Disney Frozen movie Olaf themed fabric. 

I have them on a hanger that is actually from My Life As Doll clothes but it hangs the outfit so well that I am going to include the hanger when I ship it to the lucky winner of the drawing.

Give Away Drawing For My Life As Doll Fiesta Accessories Set!!

As I promised when I posted my last drawing in September, I am going to at least try to have a drawing for an 18inch doll related item once a month here on the blog. For this month's drawing the prize will be this My Life As Doll Fiesta Set from Walmart. Back in August I found these sets for only $2.00 each and so I wiped them out. I sent one to my sister friend Frann and kept a couple of others (I wanted to have lots of Taco's in my Doll House cos I have lots of dolls!!). My Life As Doll Mini Doll Drawing Giveaway and Clothes Set Review!

As I mentioned in a recent post, I was lucky enough to find some My Life As Doll Mini Dolls for only $2.50 each recently! So I bought four! Why four? Well, two for here at the Doll House because I have a lot of dolls who need doll friends! Then of course I bought one for my sister friend Frann because she and I love to have twinsy things. The fourth? Well, to give away in a drawing here on the blog!!

One other reason I bought two of the mini dolls for the Doll House was that I wanted to be able to change clothes between them and the two American Girl Doll Mini Dolls I own. I don't need a ton of clothes for them but an outfit change here and there might be fun. I actually bought one of the new My Life As Doll Mini Doll clothing sets the same day I got the mini dolls for same reason. 

This is the set I picked. I love the little horse shirt and the boots! So cute!

Here are my two American Girl Doll Mini's alongside one of the two Mini's I bought for the Doll House. One thing I've never really understood about the MLA Mini's is why they decided to make them an inch taller than the American Girl Mini's and the Our Generation Minis? It's one of the reasons I never bought one before. I've decided to think of them like Karito Kids of which I have one in my own collection. They are a smidge taller than 18inches so it makes total sense. Right? Hahaha. I am such a dork sometimes. How I have to have 'stories' for all my Doll House residents. Teehee. 

However, even though they are a smidge taller, I thought they would likely still be able to share clothes. 

So I went to changing the clothes one of the new dolls I'd opened (the second will be opened by Heather Doll in an upcoming blog post!) and the American Girl Mini's. 

Not before I took a bunch of photos of the four Mini Dolls. They are just so cute!

Here is the back of the boxes. 

And here are the dolls all changed into different clothes. I was super sad to realize that the red shirt my Julie Mini had been wearing had stained her arms red. Boohoo. I hate it when that happens. The clothes fit pretty well despite them being a bit different in height. However, the shoes were not a perfect fit fot the American Girl Minis. The MLA Doll Mini shoes are too big. As you can see, I put the boots on Julie anyway and they look pretty cute and you can't tell they are too big. The slip on shoes though won't work at all for the AG Mini's. Bummer! Oh well... The good news being that the school girlie I am having the drawing for comes with black boots! So, if you have an AG mini and are the winner, you'll be able to share the boots on that doll with your AG Mini. How fun! One of my favorite parts of doll collecting is the fun of having them share clothes and accessories. So it'll be fun to make a scene of Heather Doll and Frann Doll playing dolls and changing out their dollies outfits. Of course that'll be a future blog post...

Win This Upcycled 18" Doll Dress! A Drawing on Facebook!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

So... As you know, I've been upcycling 18" Doll Clothes from regular clothes for a while now. I've made so many posts about how easy it is. You can find instructions here and here and here and here and probably a few links I am forgetting. They are so much fun to make that I make them just for the fun of it really. I get a kick out of it every single time a little dress emerges so easily from a sourced item that might otherwise end up in a landfill or something.... I digress. The by product of my enjoying the process is I a becoming over run with doll clothes! We are out of room in the doll closet even!! So... What to do...? 

Have a drawing to give away a free dress!!!! This is probably going to be the first of many upcoming 'give aways' because I seem to me amassing way too many doll clothes and other items and how much fun is a good old fashioned give away drawing....? 

How do I enter the drawing you ask? Easy peasy lemon squeezy!! You simply go to my blog's Facebook page and 'like' the page, find the contest photo in photos (it'll be the one that says "Win this Dress" with this dress on it) and share the photo with your friends. That's it. 

The drawing will be held on Mother's Day since it's coming up this Sunday. That is May 10, 2015 at 8pm Central Standard Time. Due to shipping rates the contest is only open to US Residents!! I will announce the winner on Facebook and come and update this blog as well. 

Here is the dress on an Our Generation Doll. They have a bit of a thicker torso, more like AG Dolls, than the Tolly Tot that is modeling above. 

PLEASE NOTE! When I make these little dresses, sometimes in order for them to come out right, the seams don't match up perfectly. Please see above, the seam is a bit wonky... It doesn't really detract from how the dress falls and my daughter says she didn't notice it... But I am a perfectionist and thought I'd mention it. This is why I probably won't ever try and sell my dresses. So... I don't want anyone disapointed by it's imperfection! I chose it as a contest dress anyway because I thought it was so pretty otherwise. So... There is that. If you want to give a home to this slightly imperfect dress, go and enter the contest! My Facebook page has been stuck at 96 likes for months now... I really don't care about the number but my kids seem to get a kick out of it so I thought it'd be fun for them to see it go over the 100 mark. We will see if it happens. I sometimes feel like I am talking to myself with this blog but... I have fun with it so. That's what counts right!

As you know if you read this blog with any frequency, I've been doing doll drawings this month. This is the last weekly drawing of four and, going forward, I plan to do a drawing of some manner of doll item once a month or so. So what is the drawing for this week? 

This week I am doing a drawing for four of the Doll Latte's I made with instructions from American Girl Ideas. Well, sort of... I didn't make the cups like she did, I got these from the Dollar Tree. You will also get the four plates, four spoons and the tea pot that also came in that set. Since I had them on hand and this year is flying by, I figured I'd throw in four champagne cups for New Years or some other fancy party for your dolls. Here is Sorbet, my latest custom, modeling them for you.

March Drawing For 18Inch Doll Accessories!!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!!

My oh my does time ever fly!! Somehow I flew through February and now over half of March without getting a new doll item drawing for my sweet readers! I kept thinking of it and meaning to get here to post one and just getting distracted by other blog posts and 'real life'. So... To make up for it, I decided to dig through my 'misc. doll extras' box and come up with a drawing with lots of stuff in it to make up for missing February completely. It's a pretty random lot but hopefully a bit of fun for the doll who wins it. 

Included are: Five baskets, two frisbees, a 'blender' from MLA (that has a button you push and it 'works', some 'dixie cups' (red ones), some clear plastic cups (mulit-colored), two 'gold' goblets, a 'pitcher' from OG, a 'trophy', a garden chalk board sign, a bunny rabbit, two parasols (they are a tiny bit small for 18inch dolls but great for Wellie Wisher sized dolls... I had them so I threw them in), a pair of black ballet slippers, and a few plastc toys for the Easter basket (a unicorn, a dinosaur and a fairy). I think that's everything...? Please ask questions if you have them!
