Our Generation Camden and Glitter Girls Shaska Come Home to Doll House

Hi Doll Friends!

So I know I've said I need to stop buying dolls...
But sometimes, how can you help it? Haha!
I've been looking for a boy doll with hazel eyes for the doll house for a little while now...
Low and behold, I found Camden. He was perfect! I've renamed him Aaron. I'm so happy to have him in the doll house.

Then, I was on Amazon recently and I've always admired Glitter Girls Shaska for a while now. So when I saw that she was on sale for $13.50 with a $3.50 coupon? I couldn't help but pick her up!

Here is Camden/Aaron while he was still in the box. I was so excited to get him that I didn't think to take the time to take 'in the box' photos of him. Isn't he handsome?

When Shaska arrived I decided it would be cute to have Aaron Doll help her out of her box in a sequence of photos. So here they are:

She could totally be his little sister because she has hazel eyes too.

These two Glitter Girl outfits were on a good sale, with the coupon applied they were only like $6.00 each, so I had to pick them up too!

Have you gotten any exciting new dolls or doll items lately? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!

Better run.

FAO Schwartz Madame Alexander 14inch Doll Thrift Store Find!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!

In a recent posting, I told you about a Tommy Hilfiger Madame Alexander Doll I found at the thrift store. I must've really liked the doll because I paid $14.99 and for me, at a thrift store, that is some hefty money. She was worth it though, as I said in my first post, just for her clothes. I knew when I bought her that she'd be re-wigged and I suspected she was going to re-wigged into a boy wig and become a brother in the Doll House

As I said in my other posting about this doll, I'd never seen one like it before. And that, my friends, is saying something. I've scoured the internet for countless hours shopping doing research and not once in the nearly half decade I've been indulging my doll hoard hobby have I ever seen one?

I would never ever have guessed, either, that she could be a Madame Alexander doll?!!?? Madame Alexander, to the best of my recollection, usually have a very distinct sort of face sculpt with a 'kissy pouty face' look to them... For lack of a better way to put it. This doll is nothing like that... In fact, to me, from the moment I laid eyes on her, she was a boy. She just looks like a boy to me? What can I say? Some dolls are just like that. I think? Do you agree?

Her sculpt is interesting too! Her eyebrows are not only painted but also sculpted in... Interesting right?

And she is a top notch well articulated doll too! After researching her I found out that she is a FAO Schwartz Doll and that there were apparently several different girls in the collection.

She as pretty dirty when I got her but a Norwex cloth cleaned her right up...

I wanted to show you how she was made but wanted to protect her dignity and so... I put her in a swimsuit. I used to do nude doll photos all the time in reviews but... It just seems sort of mean!
LOL
I am such a dork.

So anyway, here she is. She's so cool because she can go into so many different poses!

And here he is! I think he looks perfect as a boy!! Do you agree? I went ahead and did some beach photos with him so you could see him shirtless... I think it's hysterical that he even has nipples. I love funny details on dolls.

Here he is building some sand castles...

I had already pulled out the 'beach box' and so I figured I'd just do a whole beach scene.... With all the dreary rain lately, it was kind of fun to 'take the dolls to the beach'. I even made a YouTube video if you're keen to watch such things.

So I am really glad to have found this little fella!

Better run!

New Custom Battat Little Friends 15Inch Boy Doll!

Happy Friday Doll Friends!!

Where do the weeks go? Seriously. So recently I've been on a bit of a 'smaller doll' binge with the Style Girls, Wellie Wishers, Bumbleberry Girls and other 14 inch dolls capturing my attention. I am not sure how many of you are aware, but the recent Glitter Girls by Battat are not their first attempt at younger sibling type dolls. In the early 2000's Battat released a 15inch doll line called Little Friends of which I own two. They are more like the Bumbleberry Girls than any of the other current 14 inch dolls in that they have a soft torso. Recently, I aquired a 14inch doll sized boy wig for free (a shipping error happened with the brown haired one I purchased and so they sent me a freebie for my trouble! Awesome, right?). So.... Who to convert to a boy doll?

Battat Little Friends and Battat 15inch are two of my saved searches on eBay. You know, for research. Teehee. Anyway, about the day I got the boy wig what shows up in my searches but this little dolly right here.

Before I even thought I snatched her up with a mind of making a Battat Little Friends Brother doll out of her. She was already wearing boy clothes! (Minus the bag)

Here she is the day she arrived. Her hair was a mess which always makes me feel less bad about chopping it all off and throwing it in the bin!

And Tada! Another boy doll was born! The blonde to his right is one of my other Little Friends named Stephanie. She's now his twin sister and so I am playing with the idea of naming him Stephen adn calling him Steve...? What do you think?

I posed them with one of the current Battat Glitter Girls named Keltie (I still haven't renamed her from her factory given name and it's starting to grow on me...). They are kind of distant cousins afterall, all being Battat dolls. Aren't they cute in the Doll House I got from Sam's Club recently?

They decided to take a little walk....

Off they go...!

And back already!

Time for a snack!

Steve fits right in! I don't think you can tell from the photos but he has some cool lavendar streaks in his hair so he's a bit of punk rock star looking kid. Very cool.

So, it'll be fun to have another smaller boy doll in the doll house to go with Giuseppe!

Better run!
Have a wonderful weekend!
