Sewing Lately... Still Teaching (Reminding) Myself How To Sew....

Doll Friends!

Am always behind on everything recently...
Perhaps because I have become somewhat obsessed with sewing for dolls!
I wanted to show you what I've been up to but literally only have a minute here...

I decided it was time to try 'actual' bodices...

I found all this fabric for really great prices! Those Halloween prints (a yard each) were only $1.00!

I made the cherry top.... It's reversable... :)

Dresses I am working on... They are almost done... Still need velcro...

More of the reversable sleeveless bodices I made recently out of 'scrap' material I had from making the dresses above them... :)

I thought this would result in a cute A-line dress...

But it actually turned out more like a long top or vest that fit most perfectly on Journey Girls...

So I tried a different pattern with same idea...

I liked how it turned out so I decided to try a 'mass production'....
I realized I could get a bodice out of the material I got on Amazon I talked about in this post...
I actually bought a second package and was correct, they are all the same so now I have double the amount of cloth in each print! Woot!
They are still being worked on right now...

But the skirts I made the other day now have matching vests/tops...

I am playing with idea of not putting closures on these vest/tops... Cos they look cute as a vest... and...

Also look cute as a top (on left) with the back just held closed by the skirt elastic....
What do ya'll think? Which would you like better?

The reverse side of this one (No the orange fabrics are not identical... but close enough to look cute and make a close match...)

Here's the reverse of this one...

These were actually the first bodices I tried.... I made them into these dresses... This was like a month ago... Time flies!

Here are the dresses (the two on left) I made them into. They will be terrific when Independence Day rolls around again!

Here is the box I have of things I am accumulating to start my Etsy store... I'm getting there... I want to start it with at least 30+ items....

I have to run!
Have a great weekend!
