A couple of months ago now I was on Amazon and just shopping browsing looking for the newest thing in 18inch dolls... You know... Researching...

 For you dear reader!! I do it all for you. 

Hahaha!

Anyway, lo and behold what did I find? 

 Journey Girls Alana an Amazon exclusive...
Now, I need to be thinning out my doll collection but... 
How could I resist? She is so beautiful!!

So, here is me finally getting here to tell you about her. I took her with me on a recent trip and took photos of her in the hotel and on this beautiful walking path outside the hotel. 

I'd write up a longer blog post about her but I'm going to have to just let the photos tell the story because I am always short on time lately! I really do recommend picking her up for your Journey Girls collection! She's just lovely.

Journey Girls Special Edition Doll At Amazon And She's On Sale!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!

So, recently I realized it'd been a while since I looked at the Journey Girls on Amazon. I am so glad that this line of dolls were continued by Amazon after Toys-R-Us closed down because they really are beautiful and well made dolls. Anyway, I hadn't really been paying attention to the doll line since I bought Ilee. So when I pulled up the search of Journey Girl on Amazon? Who did I see?

This gorgeous doll!

They don't really have a name for her... She's simply listed as a Special Edition Doll. I think she's got the same face sculpt as Callie and she is stunning! She is actually on sale right now for $44.27, her normal price is $49.99. I am telling myself "I don't need another doll! I don't need another doll!!" But she is very tempting. 

She is similar to the Holiday Dolls from Journey Girls that they've released at Toys-R-Us in the past.

I was interested to find that they also have a few other clothes sets for $14.99 each. 

A lot of the playsets are on sale, they are all the same ones that used to be available for sale at Toys-R-Us so it was nice to see that they've brought them back. 

I actually have the kitchen set and think it's pretty great. 

So I'm glad that I went and checked so I can let ya'll know that they have a lot of it on sale right now... I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need another Journey Girl Doll irregardless of how pretty she is.

Right? LOL

Journey Girl's Photo Shoot Last Week

Hello Again Doll Friends!

I got an unexpected pocket of time and I figured I'd say hi again!

Last week I took a few of the Journey Girls out for a photo shoot! 

Or rather I brought some Journey Girls along with me on my job and then found a photo op place!

So here are a few of the photos. I took droves but never want to be obnoxious here by posting so many... Perhaps that's silly? Generally I make YouTube videos of them at some point and put ALL the photos in those! 

It was really windy that day but the sun was out... So I found an area of landscaping with bushes in it at the edges of a grocery store parking lot and did my best. The bushes kind of blocked the wind as well as being an nice background! I could not, for the life of me, get three dolls to stand up and stay standing at one time... So I gave up trying. I got a few good shots of these gals though. I love how their hair is blowing in the wind in this one. I wish I could report the names of these lovely girl on the left but alas, I don't think she's ever been named. I eventually decided to just let Giovanna keep her original name. Poor gal has been through several wigs but this one finally got glued on. Don't ask me what on earth made me decide to cut of her beautiful hair in the first place?! LOL I guess I get on a bit of a 'customizing' blitz sometimes. Huh? In any case I think she's lovely with this hairstyle.

Isn't she lovely? I rewigged her because she was a second hand doll and I already had one Kyla in my collection already. I bought like ten of these wigs off eBay when I found them once. I knew they'd be a short lived thing at the prices I got them for! I think they are authentic American Girl Doll wigs but can't say for sure. They had the little oval sticker and they are top notch quality and the seller I get them from generally has misc. American Girl Doll items and that's where these came from. I digress... So that's where this wig came from. Isn't she beautiful in it?!

Karen hasn't been changed since I got her... She's lovely just as she is!

Bili 18inch Doll Clothes Wardrobe For American Girl Sized Dolls Less than $23 on Amazon!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

Hi. I've just gotten back from falling off the planet into a place called Stomach Bug Land. Oh. My. Goodness. I haven't been that sick in a long time. Three whole days, lost! In mid-December! Yikes. Oh well... 

I've wanted to get here to tell you about these fabulous doll clothes I got on Amazon. I heard about them on American Girl Idea's sister channel Sunshine Sprinkles YouTube and just had to check them out. She had a coupon code for $2 off but I can't find the video to save my skin and didn't think to jot it down when I ordered the clothes a week or so ago (like I said, I lost three days so it might've been longer?). I'll try and find link and come back and post it cos I think the code is good until Christmas. In any case, $22.00 for seven outfits for your American Girl sized doll can't really be beat! 

So here are some of the girls from the Doll House modeling them for you! Here is Diane and Charlsea in cute skirts and tops. I think you could pair the plain colored top and skirt together and it would look like a solid color dress. Pretty!

Next we have Alycia modeling the oh-so-cute summer outfit. I think this might be my favorite outfit of the entire set... 

Hemalayaa is wearing a cute shorts and flowered top outfit. It's a bit too big on her, being as she's a Journey Girl and has a more slim line body but I wanted to show you how the clothes fit on that sort of doll. 

Here is Prism in the flowered dress. It's really pretty!

Here we have Angie in the slacks and flowered top outfit. The top even has cute button details! I love the front of the slacks too, they have such a great crease!

Finally we have as-of-yet-unnamed Madame Alexander Doll modeling the cute dress that is same fabric as the slacks. Cute!

I have to say I was pretty blown away by the quality of these clothes for the price. I mean, they are easily as good a quality as My Life As Doll Clothes are. So, you can't really go wrong. If you're looking for a 'wardrobe' for your doll or to just add to your current wardrobe, this would be a great set to buy. I am considering buying a second one myself so I can do twinsy outfits. Teeheehee.
