Dollies Needed New Clothes! Wardrobe Infusion For My Traveling Dolls!

Hi Doll Friends!

Ya'll, I just couldn't take it! My two dolls I found in my travels needed some wardrobe variety! I went to Target and looked at their outfits and also Walmart to look at theirs... But I just couldn't stand the thought of paying so much per outfit and knew that there was a Bili Doll Clothes Set on Amazon where I could get seven outfits for $22.00 instead of paying $10 per outfit at a minimum at Walmart. So, even though I already have two of these sets of doll clothes back at my house in Nebraska I went ahead and bought another one. I can't really tell if if the quality I reported when I mentioned them in my prior post about them is quite as good but they are still an amazing deal!

Here they are in their original bag.

And the back of the bag.

And here is a photo of each of the outfits one by one...

'

They really are very pretty and you can't beat the price!

Then... Being me... I may have gone a bit further and ordered another PZAS Toys Wardrobe as well. In the photo above there are only six of the ten outfits that come with the set. Again, I had purchased Pzas wardrobe set's  before and have always been pleased with the quality. I was surprised when they arrived though to find 1) they no longer come in the cute little gift box like they used to (they come in a clear plastic bag instead) but that, as a consolation prize, they  now came with a pair of blue shoes, a pair of white sun glasses and a headband! Nice!! The reason I only photo'd six of the ten outfits  that came with the set was that I immediately set about dressing my 'new' dolls in them. Huh? I've only mentioned two dolls I've found in my travels huh? Well... I may or may not have found a couple more since then. Teehee. I'll have to post about them soon.

And being as dolls need shoes...
I went ahead and purchased a six pair collection from New York Doll Company

I have purchased this set before too but... Ya'll know how many dolls I have at home, I am sure I will use them! I've always been happy with my New York Doll Collection purchases and this one was a good one too. So I may have gone a little overboard (Who, me?!) but now my recently adopted thrift store dolls will be able to dress in style! I got all of it for about $60 which, considering all I got, really isn't that bad at all. (given that $60 would've only gotten me six outfits total at Walmart and even less at Target). So... I am happy with my purchases!

I'll be back as soon as I can to show you the other two dolls I've found at Thrift Stores in the outfits!
Till then, have a fantastic week!

American Girl Doll Kit Kittredge Thrift Store Find!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

This Summer has been a Summer for travel so far... Due to some problems in my family (too much to get in to) I have been traveling. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I left my house hastily before my trip and didn't even think to bring one doll! I know!? Who am I even?! Right?!

However God is faithful and always provides... I miss my dolls at home obviously but in the meantime He has sent me yet another doll on my travels. This time I almost fell over when, at a thrift shop here in Alabama where I traveled to in this leg of my journey, I found an American Girl Doll Kit!! She was only $2.99!! She needed quite a lot of work to clean her up but I knew I would be able to make her right as rain. Here she is when I got her (see above). She was very very dirty and her poor limbs were so loose that her she literally wasn't able to stand at all. I wish I'd taken more 'before' photos but I just set to work on getting her sorted out and didn't think to.

I did take this one photo from when I was cleaning her up. I am not sure you can tell but on her arm there is one spot where I'd cleaned and wanted to show you the difference between the dirty part and the clean part. Poor dear had been through a trial obviously and had apparently never gotten a 'bath'.

Then, using techniques I learned on YouTube from other amazing doll collectors (how did we ever live without YouTube and it's instructional videos? Eh?) I tightened up her limbs so she can stand and pose her arms just perfectly. It was really the first time I'd ever tried to tighten limbs before! I'd always been too afraid to mess them up or something! This poor dear was so far gone though that I knew I couldn't possibly make her worse!!

The same thrift shop had these items as well, see the little Kit Book in the bag of books for $1! Score!! I am betting it was donated by same person that donated the doll. The little bag of dolls had two Our Generation small dolls and I got the little 'crib' to use with the baby doll siblings I got and mentioned in my last post

Then, because the poor dear was totally naked, I saw these bags of what I thought were all doll clothes or build a bear clothes and picked them up. Sadly the one on the bottom right was dog clothes! Haha! Ooops! But the others were, indeed, build a bear clothes and even a few American Girl Doll clothes! So that was nice.

So here is Kit wearing the top I got in the Our Generation set I mentioned in my last post and a little pair of denim capri's I got in the bags above. Isn't she fantastic?! I've always wanted to get a Kit Kittredge Doll for my collection and so I am so glad I found her! I just love finding dolls that need to be fixed up and making them pretty again. It just makes me happy.

Well, I better run if I am going to get another blog post up this morning like I want to.
I hope this finds you having a fantastic Summer!

Summertime Travel to South Dakota!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends,

I took an impromptu trip to the gorgeous state of South Dakota recently.
Was such an impromptu trip that I *gasp* didn't even think to take one doll with me!?
What?!
I know!
I was so annoyed with myself. So...
What did I do? I found a local thrift store called Savers and was lucky enough to find this gorgeous Our Generation Doll for $4.99! I splurged and went to a local Target and bought her a little outfit since she came with no clothes at all.
Then I took her with me on my morning walks while I was there and to a beautiful place called Falls Park in Sioux Falls.

As you can see, I also got a couple of Disney Baby Dolls in little baby sibling size as well as another Circo Baby. What can I say, I can't help myself when I see dollies!

I just love taking doll photos!
Have you taken any trips recently?

Sorry for short post! Life has me so busy lately!
Till next time!
