Paradise Kids 18inch Doll Horse At Friends House

Hi Doll Friends!!

You know you've truly embraced your doll collecting self when you unabashedly and unashamedly gush with excitement upon seeing a doll item at a grown, non-doll collecting, friends house! Then you double-down and ask to take a few photos... "You know, for my blog!" Haha. Case in point?

This cute little fella right here.

He is a Paradise Kids 18inch Doll horse... I just had to look him over and photograph him for you to see too!

He is a lot like the Our Generation horses in that he has "fur" or "hair" (which word to use? I am not an equestrian at all!) over his plastic body...

I liked the feature that you can bend his little ears... Horses, from what I recall, show a lot of their emotions via the cocking of their ears, so that's a clever feature.

See, here is him with ear bent forward. Isn't he lovely? Do you have a horse for your doll? I actually have two... And two ponies as well. I've been meaning to get them all out and show them to y'all all Summer with some nice outdoor photos... Seeing this little guy reminded me I need to do that! So I'll get a few of the dolls dressed in some horse gear and try and get that done this week sometime!

Better run for now!
Till next time!

Thrifted Our Generation 18inch Doll Makeover!

Hi Doll Friends!!

I recently found an Our Generation doll at Goodwlll for $1.99. I am telling you, I simply can't leave them in the store at that price!

She got made over the day I got her... It's one of my favorite "doll activities" is to take a doll from the dreaded Toy Box Trauma state and give her new life...

I like to do makeovers so much that I nearly forgot to take any before photos! I'd already cleaned her up when I took these... She had been a bit dirty but I took a Norwex Enviro cloth to her and she looks nearly good as new... Except her hair...

It wasn't the worst I had ever seen but it was in pretty bad shape...! I didn't even attempt to fix it because I knew I wanted to change her to a red-head.

I've been looking for a doll to be a doppelgänger of one of my friends... She needed to have light blue eyes and I had a wig all ready for me to find the right doll.

Here she is with Florence, one of my other (actually my first!) OG dolls. Don't they look like cousins! I named the new girl Janeane. She looks lots like my real friend Janeane who I've been friends with since she was my first neighbor in my first apartment I ever had as a grown woman... So... I've known her quite a while! Haha.

So here are Florence and Janeane enjoying a cool glass of lemonade by the ocean... My first apartment was in Hawaii and so I figured that made sense. I love dolls! Especially when I makeover one into a doppelgänger of a friend... It makes them mean so much more.

Here are the girls with another ginger from my collection...

That's it for now friends!
Till next time!

Garage Sale Finds For The Doll House

Hi Doll Friends!

There was a city wide garage sale in my town and this is the doll related items I got. So many fun finds!

I got both Roulette games for 25cents! One of them was very dirty from sitting in storage but it cleaned up nice. The Christmas tea set was $2. The chair was $1. The books were (all three) a $1. The locker was $1, it even has lock but I think perhaps too short? The Light Saber was only 75cents! Was stoked to find it because my son loves Star Wars and "his" doll needed one! Don't mind his cowboy outfit, he had just modeled them recently. Haha.

I had so much fun! Can't wait to make a Casino Nignt now! Need to find a better table to set it on.... This is a cardboard mailing box. Sorry for quick story but wanted to show y'all what I found!

Till next time!

Possible bathtub? It was in a free box!

NEW Walmart My Life As Doll 18inch Doll Kitchen Photo Review

Hi Doll Friends!

I recently went on a bit of a kick about Walmart's newly launched items for their My Life As Doll line of dolls and accessories at Walmart... One night I was online late and a popup ad showed up showing this kitchen... For less than $25. I hadn't really planned to buy this one... Per the MLAD Website there is a new "wood" one that is also supposed to be released that I like better... But the price was amazing and so I added it to my cart... Also grabbed a few non doll related items so I would get free shipping... And about a week later it arrived! It took me a few days to even get a chance to open it! I don't have much time right now so this is mostly going to be a photo review...

Here is Billy, my new MLAD boy doll, in the kitchen. Everything you see here other than the little white table comes in the set.  I've found out since that I was correct about the price being amazing... Maybe they were fishing for first buyers via algorithms? I had been looking at MLAD stuff a lot lately... But it was like a phantom sale because it was only that small window of time that I happened to see it that it was that price. Now it's about $50!

It's a very cute set. It's almost like an efficiency apartment kitchen... Everything you need but nearly zero cabinet space! Haha.

The accessories are adorable and well made... The napkins are squares of cardboard. The cups made me giggle because they are nearly exact replicas of the communion cups from church! Ha! Why reinvent the wheel eh?

I didn't add anything from my other doll stuff... Just wanted to show you what came with set. Also, not much else really seems to "fit" into the set very well from my other doll kitchen... My antique metal kitchen stove is much larger and so all my other doll kitchen items are scaled around it...

All ready for dessert! The little cakes are cute.

It comes with a little bar stool... But just one so I hope Billy doesn't mind standing up.

Here is what box looks like... Saige is modeling it just as it came home.

Here she is with back of box.

It was packaged very well from the store... It was in two outer boxes!

All in all a fun set!
Till next time!
