Treasured Doll, An Irish Doll That Came To America, Find On eBay

 

Hi Doll Friends!

I've been meaning to get here to tell you about the doll I found recently on eBay... I always keep an eye on items from Queen's Treasures because they have such great doll items. So when I ran across a doll listed by them that I'd never seen before I was very curious... Curious enough to take them up on their 'make offer' button and offer them $40 instead of the listed $49.99. An, low and behold, they took me up on my offer! 

So she arrived and she was so lovely... I wrote Queen's Treasures and asked them about her because I couldn't find her on their actual website... Jessica wrote me back to say: 

"We do not make these dolls.  They were from a company in Ireland.  We were helping them to try to launch in the USA.  They really did not sell well."

But she sent me a link to their website and I found that they still sell dolls but that I'd gotten a really good deal on mine because they are $95 to $120 each on their website. I won't lie, I wouldn't likely spend quite that much on a doll from a doll company I've never heard of so it doesn't surprise me that they didn't sell all that well. They really are top notch quality though, on par with American Girl Dolls or Maplea or other premium dolls really. Don't have much more time to write so I'll just let the photos tell the story of this lovely doll. I was surprised that she came undressed and had a Queen's Treasures dress enclosed in the box. Lovely! Gotta run!

Our Generation Camila! Finally Decided To Buy Her!

I've held off for ever so long on buying her but finally... 

I just had to. 

Our Generation Camila is so pretty and I love that she has braces. When I was little I really wanted to get braces! Haha. My older cousin, whom I idolized, had braces and I couldn't think of anything cooler. In hindsight I'm certain she didn't think so! She had the old school braces that would cut your mouth and she had to put in wax over them to keep from it. I never did end up getting braces... Luckily I had pretty strait teeth! Anyway, I've been looking at Camila ever since she was released and kept putting it off. Well, obviously Target had a sale I couldn't refuse. Isn't she gorgeous!

Boy Doll Outfit Sets and Tshirts From Suzies Specialties on Etsy

What can I say? I get on a roll sometimes...

I decided my boy dolls needed some new clothes and so I went out researching what was out there for boy dolls... 

And I what did I find but some very cute ones on Etsy in Suzies Specialties Shop. 

I got two outfit sets, one with pants and one with shorts and then two t-shirts by themselves. 

Here are some of the boys in the shirts... the t-shirts are all from her shop and so are the pants and shorts on the dolls on the right side. 

I think they are fantastic! 

Don't the boys look handsome in them? 

Here is Josh Doll in the other shirt I got. 

He and Heather Doll had to pose together for this shot cos they just looked so complementary in these outfits... Don't they just?

Bili Doll Clothes Set Number Two... I Purchased Them And They Disappeared!?

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

Doll clothes... 

After dolls themselves they are probably one of my biggest weaknesses. 

And so what happened recently when I was looking around Amazon at their suggested items, you know, just for research...

One of the suggested items that they brought up was Bili Doll Clothes set number two. I'd bought Bili Doll Clothes before (you can read about it here and here) and was excited to see what the second set was going to be like. So I plunked down my $28.99 and started watching the mail. 

I was so excited when they arrived! I love new clothes for my dollies! So I opened them up and dressed a few dolls with them... Then blinked and a few weeks had flown by. So, by the time I got here to write a post about them and show them to you...?

They'd disappeared off Amazon?!

Rats!! I am so bummed because it really is a cute set. I mean I guess things have disappeared from Amazon before and come back... As in the case of when PZAS Doll Clothes disappeared and then came back. So perhaps that will be the case with this set too. I'm sure it will. 

Although the other set has disappeared too...?

So here are some of the girls in the outfits... For those of you who are super observant you might notice a couple of new faces in this photo. What can I say? Every spare penny I ever get goes to... 
Dolls. Dolls. Dolls.

Some girls like clothes (for themselves, I get mine for me at thrift stores... LOL), some girls like jewelry, some girls like makeup...

I like dolls. 

So that's what I buy when I have any extra money at all. 

Speaking of dolls... The American Girl Doll I found recently... 

Here she is, all made over. I got a wig from Amazon... 

It's the same wig I used when I made over Sasha Doll. I think she looks smashing in it! 

I haven't decided a name for her yet and I still need to glue it on... 

But I love love love how she looks in her new wig. 

I'm showing her in this post because she's dressed in one of the Bili outfits. I think it's meant to be PJ's but I think it looks like a cute little summer outfit.

Speaking of comments, I'm sorry I am dreadful about answering them. Just so busy all the time lately but I read and enjoy every single one!
