Treasured Doll, An Irish Doll That Came To America, Find On eBay

Hi Doll Friends!

I've been meaning to get here to tell you about the doll I found recently on eBay... I always keep an eye on items from Queen's Treasures because they have such great doll items. So when I ran across a doll listed by them that I'd never seen before I was very curious... Curious enough to take them up on their 'make offer' button and offer them $40 instead of the listed $49.99. An, low and behold, they took me up on my offer!

So she arrived and she was so lovely... I wrote Queen's Treasures and asked them about her because I couldn't find her on their actual website... Jessica wrote me back to say:

"We do not make these dolls.  They were from a company in Ireland.  We were helping them to try to launch in the USA.  They really did not sell well."

But she sent me a link to their website and I found that they still sell dolls but that I'd gotten a really good deal on mine because they are $95 to $120 each on their website. I won't lie, I wouldn't likely spend quite that much on a doll from a doll company I've never heard of so it doesn't surprise me that they didn't sell all that well. They really are top notch quality though, on par with American Girl Dolls or Maplea or other premium dolls really. Don't have much more time to write so I'll just let the photos tell the story of this lovely doll. I was surprised that she came undressed and had a Queen's Treasures dress enclosed in the box. Lovely! Gotta run!

Queen's Treasures Cake & Cookie Set for the Doll House!

Hi Doll Friends!!

I've been meaning to come and tell you about these cute Queen's Treasures Doll Cakes and Cookies Set I got with some Christmas money last month...

By way, I do tend to spend every cent of my mad money on doll items and so I realize it must seem like I get them constantly, especially at Christmas time! LOL Mind you though I am super thrifty in nearly every other aspect of my life... I buy my clothes second hand, albeit all very lovely and practically new at 2nd hand shoppes for next to nothing cost wise. (I can't tell you how often I get a basket full of clothes for $5 at my most local thrift store! Who can pay full price and not cringe?! I digress) I am never one to go out for fancy coffees or to get my nails done or that manner of thing. Not that there is anything wrong with any of that! Just explaining my constant instream of Dolly items being the fruit of all my fun money that I get from cutting corners elsewhere if that makes sense. Teeheehee.

Back to the cakes... I got a set of Queen's Treasure's Cupcakes last October and thought they were so pretty and top notch. So when I found a sale on a set that included those same four cupcakes, a set of four other smaller cupcakes, as 'cake' and a cookie set when I also happened to have that much money burning a hole in my pocket from my Christmas money I had to buy them, right?

Please excuse these photos. I decided to photograph them at night and the light isn't hte greatest... As you can see though, they are very cute and each came with a 'bakery box' to put together to store the treats in.

Here is the back of the packages. From what I can tell from the Queen's Treasures website, they must not have this large set for sale anymore? I can only find the cupcakes and cookies separately and can't find the cake itself at all. Perhaps they just ran out and will bring them back when they make more?

They all came packaged in a plastic tray that holds them well but those trays do not fit in the boxes once they are put together... So I didn't keep them, just the boxes.

I know I already had three of these but six is a nicer amount, eh? When I set up the Sweet Shoppe again, I'll need to have mulitples that would make sense in a bakery setting, right?

The cookies are adorable! Love the Gingerbread men!

I haven't gotten nearly as many photos of them 'in the house' as I would like but I am sure you'll see them a lot in upcoming postings... I just love doll food! So much fun!! What is your favorite of the little sets I got?

Better run!
Till Next Time!

Our Generation "Master Baking Set" For 18 Inch Dolls and Queen's Treasures Cupcakes!

Greetings Doll Friends!

As you may have guessed, doll accessories have become a great weakness of mine! So when Our Generation came out with the Our Generation Master Baker Set and it went on sale for like $25 shipped, I had to buy it. It comes with a working mixer and a working timer (well, it spins anyway) and all manner of adorable kitchen food and accessories. Just the cutest set ever.

I love how it comes with 'cookie dough' all rolled out and 'cut' with little imprints and one cut out cookie. I love the zebra brownies! One is even cut and can be removed from the pan. There are cute measuring spoons, a rubber spatula, a rubber basting brush, a 'glass' measuring cup, a rolling pin, a pastry bag, two attachments for the working mixer, a cookie sheet, a cake cutter, a timer (that spins!) a scale, a cookie jar and like six cookies, a bag of 'flour' and a bag of 'sugar', a cute apron and a chefs hat!

I ordered mine online and so I think it is packaged differently than the ones at the store will be. It was just in this simple box with the contents in photos on the sides.

Here is back of the box.

Then all the items were carefully packaged in differing plastic bags in the box.

Here is Susannah making some cookies!

The set didn't really include anything to 'frost' with the pastry bag... I'd recently ordered some cupcakes from the The Queen's Treasures and decided this was as good as time as any to show them to you while I pretend that Jen is decorating them with the pastry bag.

Here is how they arrived... They are very heavy and sturdy and oh so pretty! Don't you think so?

What is your favorite item in the Master Baking Set? Mine has to be the mixer but it's got so many cute items in it!

Till next time!
