The Dolly Sweet Shoppe Opens Back Open For Business!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

Since my Doll Room has a finite amount of space, I can only have three or four doll rooms set up at a time... So I haven't had room to set up The Sweet Shoppe for a few months because I had the living room or bedroom one or bedroom twoor kitchen or bathroom or fashion show or yoga studio or karaoke room set up... You get the idea. I've wanted to set the Sweet Shoppe back up since I got the Queen's Treasures Cakes Set a few months ago on sale. I knew it would look so cute in the Shoppe!

So I decided to set up the Sweet Shoppe this past weekend as a place for a few of the dolls to gather after the Easter Egg Hunt. I also am half way through making a few other crafted sweets for it. I started them months ago and got them halfway done and then, needing to add a fixative to set the paint I'd painted them with, they got set aside for 'later' and never done. The fixative I wanted to use was in an spray can (like spray paint) and the winter months just weren't conducive to using the product. Now that it's finally Spring though, I plan to finally finish them. So that will be fun. I am also half way through making some doll sized candy bars from a craft I saw on American Girl Ideas and they are going to be so sweet in the shoppe! 

As you may notice, I didn't use all of the same furniture as I did the last time I set up the Sweet Shoppe... I didn't want to dismantle the kitchen because I use it all the time for doll scenes so instead I just set up the Sweet Shoppe with other furniture and props. I like how it turned out pretty well! I think I might paint that brown shelf white with pink trim at some point to make it match better...? We will see. So many doll projects, so little time!! You know what I mean? 

So here we have Sueretta (Adora doll in pink) and Pamela (LOTUS doll behind counter) and Lilly (AG in white dress) enjoying the Shoppe. Lilly is deciding what sweet she wants to try and Sueretta, having already enjoyed her sweet treat, is listening to some tunes on the juke box. 

Here are Frann (Lotus doll on left) and Heather (Madame Alexander on right) are enjoying a cuppa together. 

Looking forward to more photo shoots now that I have it set up again! I love how all the accessories make it look pretty real. How fun.

Sweet Shoppe Says Goodbye For Now!

Hi Doll Friends!

It's been so much fun having the Sweet Shoppe up and running... As you may know though, given how large my doll rooms tend to be, I can only have one up at a time... So I packed it all up yesterday to make room for a new room to be set up... Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! 

It was good I still had it up so the new twins could have a place to hang out before before one sister went to go live with Frann. 

They were both so excited to see the shoppe when they arrived... Doll friends and doll candy and doll sized everything! How fun!

Rose was on duty at the Shoppe for it's last day of business (this time) 

"These suckers look amazing!"

I hope ya'll have enjoyed the Sweet Shoppe as much as I have!

It's been fun to put together. 

The dolls all loved it too! 

Paul Doll and Beth Doll look to be having a great time!

Breanna Doll is asking Holly Doll if she want's anything while she's up...?

Fongtan Doll was really enjoying what was a recent update to the Sweet Shoppe. My daughter thought it would be a great idea to put in desks for people who came in by themselves and wanted to sit alone but not at a table.... So they can study. Genius! I put them in right away! 

Here's the last shot (this time) of the Sweet Shoppe! I am sure it'll look a tiny bit different the next time I set it up but I am sure that will be clear into the next year since Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years will be here before we know it!

Sweet Shoppe For American Girl Dolls and Friends!

Hello Doll Friends!!

As you may know if you've read this blog at all, I've been on a bit of a doll sized candy making roll lately! Halloween meant the need to have doll sized candy for the dolls Trick Or Treating adventure and for the Halloween Party at the doll house afterwards... So I made lollipops and other doll sized candy including rock candy suckers for the dolls. I went a bit overboard as I tend to do.. But I didn't have just Halloween in mind. I knew that the candy would also be great for the Doll Sweet Shoppe!!

So here it is!! Finally got it all set up and ready for business again! I've set up a sweet shoppe before but since them have gotten the beautiful doll furniture from my friend Frann and lots more doll food and sweets and so it's like it's been remodeled! There's even a Jukebox to play music!

Here are FrannDoll and HeatherDoll getting ready to do a bit of shopping...

HeatherDoll has to get some gummies for JoshDoll because she knows he loves them! 

So many yummy things to choose from!

Of course they had to have a sweet treat and a drink with a friend!

They loved the new 'booth' at the Sweet Shoppe! Booths are fun!

It looks like JennDoll is having a great day for business in the Sweet Shoppe. It's no surprise given how great she is at baking!

RoseDoll is buying a yummy treat for herself to take with her on errands!

Scenes From The Sweet Shoppe!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

The dolls have all been enjoying having the Sweet Shoppe back open for business! There have been new cookies, cakes, cupcakesand candy bars added to the inventory since the last time the Sweet Shoppe was operational. So many delicious treats!!

Lisa loves her little shop and keeps it as neat as a pin. 

Here are some boys in for a sweet treat and a couple of latte's.

Then Monessa and Shantea came in and got some cute suckers.

Shantea said "I'll treat!"

They ran into the boys and stopped to chat for a moment...

Later Crystal  and Brandi stopped in for a chat and treat as well.

The Sweet Shoppe has such a nice atmosphere they stayed and chatted for over an hour!

Next, Mo and Debbie stopped in...

They were so excited to bump into Brandi and Crystal! They'd been friends for years.

So they sat down to catch up on the latest news!
