Frann Gets A New Little Sister Twinsie City Pals Doll!

Doll Friends!

Months and months ago when City Pal's Doll's went on clearance for $10, I bought an extra one to send to my lovely sister friend Frann as a Twinsy Doll! I didn't mention it for all this time because I kept meaning to get her sent to Frann first... But I kept adding little things to the box here and there and before I knew it seven months was gone and I hadn't sent it yet! I finally got her sent a few weeks ago and so I finally came to show you photos of her... I took Frann Doll and the new Citi Pal doll out for photos when I went to work last week. Aren't they adorable?

Better run!
Have a great weekend!

Citi Pal's Dolls Just Kept Dropping Price! Introducing Selma And Salome!

Doll Friends,

What's a girl to do? I go to Sam's Club to return a shirt my daughter didn't care for and naturally I just check by the last aisle they have of the toys (Sam's only carries toys around Christmas I think...). You know, to see what's left., for research and all... Low and behold there are Citi Pal's left and they are only $4.71 each!! What?! The problem was that I'd already bought one of the two little girls they had left, from Chicago, when they moved them to $9.71 (I can't recall her factory given name just now, I am not keeping it and so I didn't really have it stick in my brain. LOL)

So... I bought one with the idea of changing her hair so she'd have a whole new look but I'd also have twins. Twins often wear their hair differently because it's pretty much the only alteration they can make to their appearance that will set them apart from their twin. So... Perfect!

I asked my Facebook (or maybe it was Instagram) connections for name ideas and my lovely friend Karrie suggested Selma and Simone. Which I loved! However, I already have a Simone, named after Nina Simone, one of the best singers of all time... Since I have my other Sekiguchi Salome doll in storage (I know... I know... So sad to keep dolls in boxes but... I never used them in scenes but couldnt make myself part with them because they were are so cute!) I have decided to name them Selma and Salome! I think Selma will be the one with the rainbow wig because it's the bit more 'sassy' of the two names, I think. Salome's name comes from the Bible.  She's one of the women who traveled with Jesus (after He healed her) when He was going from town to town telling about the Kingdom of God. So, naturally I think it's a swell name.

Aren't they fabulous!? I sure think so...
I know I know...
I love all the dolls...!
But I do though!
Hahaha.

Well, believe it or not, school break is over and I have to go herd the cats wake up the teenagers for school... Pray for me. *giggles* But seriously, pray.

Have a great week Doll Friends!

PS You know as I was writing out this blog I needed to do a search of my blog to find the appropriate links and as I was typing in 'Citi' so all the Citi Pal postings would come up I was all annoyed "Why do people have to go and change the appropriate spelling of words?" Until, duh! I realized they likely called them Citi Pals because they are made by Cititoy! Clever!
Ok, going...!

Our Generation Summer Clothes Sets!!

Hi There Doll Friends!!

As you may know if you read this blog regularly, I recently had a birthday... So I had a few of my favorite people in the world spoil me with some pretty amazing gifts! One of the gifts I got was from my sweet and generous sister friend Frann. She gave me the gift of a shopping spree to buy 'Twinsies Outfits' for our dolls. Since we live so far away, one of the fun things we like to do is dress the Twinsie Dolls we have in twinsie outfits. It's like playing dolls together even though we are half a world away. I love it.

So her idea was to have me pick out some doll outfits & accessories for us as twinsies because she doesn't have quite the same selection in Korea as we do here in the states. She sent me a very generous 'gift card' to do the shopping with. Well, being me, I wanted the money to stretch over as many outfits and accessories as possible. So I started poking around to see what was on sale at the various places that sell such things. Low and behold what did I find at Target that day but a 24hour long sale of 25% off all the toys on top of the already on sale price!! What!? It was like winning the lottery! I was able to get us ever so many twinsie outfits for really good deals. It was some of the most fun I've had in a while! So thank you thank you thank you Frann!!

Here are some photos of my 'half' of the twinsie outfits, all in their boxes as they shipped to me:

(The four boxes with the Target tape, the long boxes on the behind them are some blinds that got delivered same day. Sure the mail people love us. Teehee....)

Then this is all of them combined into one box... I think they ship them from different stores or something and so some of the boxes only had one or two items in them. I sent Frann a few of my favorite OG outfits that I already owned (like the Little Miss Dahling Outfit and the Cupcake Cutie Outfit) so we'd have twinsies on those but otherwise we got all the same stuff. SO much FUN! I have gotten nearly all the boxes opened and dolls dressed in them but haven't managed to get them all photographed yet. I did use a few of the outfits in my Thanksgiving Post  where Heather, Frann and Lilly doll all wore an outfit from the collection. When they came in time for them to wear them for the fancy Thanksgiving feast, I knew I had to have them do so!! They looked so cute!! Here is a couple of photos in case you don't feel like clicking linky to the other post.

Lilly Doll is wearing the Fashion Overall Outfit, Heather Doll is wearing Pretty Groovy outfit and Frann is modeling the Flower Power outfit. Don't they all look adorable!?

The other day it was very sunny out, especially considering it was late November... So I took advantage of the great light and took a few of the dolls I had dressed in the outfits out for some photos outside.

Here is Angela Doll wearing the Summer Market outfit but I forgot to bring the little bag and sunglasses outside with me. She is so beautiful and the outfit looks so amazing on her!

Next we have Carlene Doll modeling rhe Dance Party Outfit! Isn't it absolutely adorable!??! It even came with a little record!

Next we have Diane Doll modeling another retro outfit (I love the retro ones for some reason!). This one is called Polka Dot Skirt outfit.

Lastly for this post I have Francis Doll wearing the adorable Summer Camp Outfit. I love the shoes and the socks and the little lip gloss that she wears around her neck. So adorable!

I'll be back soon with another posting of the rest of the Twinsies Outfits I found for our dolls. Again, Thanks so much Frann!! I'll have to post some of the photos of your dollies wearing same outfits soon! It is so much fun having twinsie dolls with my cherished sister friend!

Have a great day Doll Friends!

Welcome Charlsea to The Doll House! Thanks Frann!!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

If you've read this blog for any time at all, you'll likely know that I have a wonderful beloved sister friend named Frann I made via this very blog. In fact, of all the good my little hobby here has brought into my life, my friendship with Frann is the most precious. I literally think it's the reason God compelled me into writing it in the first place. That's kind of an amazing story... I'll tell it sometime but I want to give it it's very own blog post and maybe even YouTube video! I also literally just had that idea as I typed it. Side note, have I ever mentioned I write my blog posts kind of on the fly with no real set plan as to what I am going to say and that I am dismal at ever coming back to edit? I'm like Edna in The Incredibles... "I never look back daaaahling...." Apparent, likely, is that in my erratic chain of thoughts I leave here I suppose. Hahaha. I am digressing and bunny-trailing all over the place here. Back to the reason I mentioned all this in the first place!!

Frann and I love to have Twinsie Dolls!! We have so many now that I'll need to take a group photo and show them all to you soon and tell you their stories. So last week was a holiday in Korea, where Frann lives and she wanted to treat us to another Twinsie Doll! So, on that note:

Welcome Maplelea Charlsea to the Doll House! Frann said she'd like to get us Maplelea dolls but let me choose which one to get. I chose Charlsea because I love many things about her...

She's got a sweet face and cute layered pumpkin colored hair. She's got a super cute meet outfit!

Most importantly though, to me, was her little personality. She's very into crafts and being creative. I think that's fabulous!!

Oftentimes when we get Twinsie Dolls, the twins will both come to the Doll House and then go off to live in Korea with Frann and her dolls... This time, in interest of getting her Charlsea to her sooner to when my Charlsea arrived,we had them ship Frann's Charlsea twin to her directly. So Frann should have Charlsea at her house this coming week!

As with all Maplelea Dolls, like my first and only other Maplelea Doll Saila, Charlsea came with an amazing little notebook journal that tells all about her. The quality of these little books blow me away. I think just the book alone, in a book store, would probably cost at least $25. Considering the whole doll, including the book, is $99.99, I think that's wonderful! I love good value and quality!

As with many dolls, you can't really appreciate how cute and pretty a doll is until you get it out in the natural light and take a good look. Charlsea is beautiful!!

Here she is with Lilly Doll, who's welcoming her to the Doll House by taking a little walk with her. Jet lag from Canada isn't too bad but still the flight was so long! (Teehee)

Naturally, the first thing she wanted to do was to get out of the clothes she was wearing in her box! She'd never worn anything else and it felt so good to get to try a different look!

I think Charlsea is so lovely and am sure she'll be a frequent 'player' in upcoming blog posts and YouTube videos!

Thank you so much Frann!! I love love love her! You're so sweet to me!

The girls really enjoyed their walk! I made a little YouTube Video of their walk too, if you'd like to take a look at it, it's right here.

I just looked at the time! I have to run if I am going to make it to church on time!

Till Next Time!
