Adora Amazing Girl Zoe Purchased With Birthday Gift Money!

I didn't plan on buying another doll...

Honest! I know I have enough...

However, when the perfect storm comes, what is a girl to do?

What do I mean by perfect storm?

Well, when one is gifted a birthday gift certificate and then Amazon makes me an offer impossible to refuse. Haha. Or at least it was for me. I love Adora Dolls. I actually already own Mia, which is what Zoe used to be named...

But Amazon put her on sale for $17.09!! What?! Zoe has a regular price of $59.99. So how could I not pick her up for less than $18?! I mean her adorable outfit is worth that really!

Sadly, by the time I've gotten here to tell you about it she's back up to over $40 even on sale. 

Here is the box she arrived in.

I love that she's able to 'stand up' strait in her box unlike another Adora Amazing Girls Doll, like Sam/Dallas, I've purchased where they arrived with their head tilted to be able to fit into their box. 

I just love her face sculpt! Given that I have two dolls with same sculpt and hair style and color now... I think I'll likely 'customize' one of them at some point with a new wig. I'll probably give the makeover to the older doll since her hair might have a bit of dust in it whereas the new one won't. 

I love that they protected her arms from dye transfer from her clothes with paper. 

Well done Adora Dolls. 

I love her little t-shirt! 

I love that they use white ribbon, not zip ties, to attach her to her box insert. 

And that they give each of the girls a little personality story.

Shirley Temple Danbury Mint 14Inch Doll From eBay!

Hi Doll Friends!

I was watching this video on underrated dolls by Munecas, Poupees and Dolls Youtube Channel. The first doll she mentioned was the Shirley Temple Danbury Mint 14inch doll. I'd never heard of this doll and she also mentioned you can find her on eBay for pretty good prices so... off to eBay I went to look for her. Low and behold, she was right. I found one that had a starting bid of only $5.99 and so, on a lark, I bid $6.00 and kind of forgot I even had... Until... I got a notice that I'd won the bid! So I plunked down the $20.00 (including shipping) and she was on her way home to the doll house! 

She actually arrived on my actual birthday last week! I think she is so pretty and am so happy to have added her to my collection. I plan to do a comparison of her and Wellie Wisher or Glitter Girl dolls soon... Never enough time! 

So if 14inch dolls are your favorite size or if you love Shirley Temple or just dolls in general, you can't go wrong with this one!

American Girl Doll Mini Doll Molly Thrift Store Score!

Hi Doll Friends!

This past weekend I went to a local thrift store and was so stoked to find the mini Molly American Girl Doll for only $2.99! She's the older version with a different outfit that the current version and I like her outfit better than the newer one honestly. So that was awesome. 

I also got an American Girl Doll tshirt for 98cents and an Our Generation Equestrian Doll Jacket that comes with Lily Anna for $1.98. So, fun finds! 

I also saw these doll sized chairs and a cute little cabinet but didn't get them. You know, only so much space!

I saw these little rocking chairs, but again I left them there for some other doll loving girl to find. 

So I think that's likely what I'll do. When I find 'small' doll items at thrift stores I'll likely pick them up but bigger stuff will have to stay at the store.

Selling Off My Doll Store Inventory One Bundle At A Time

As many of you may know, I'd had plans to open a doll store once upon a time and bought inventory towards that aim. Then plans changed. So, I am going to start posting some of that inventory on Facebook Marketplace in order to liquidate it and get it in the hands of doll lovers like yourselves. This will be the first of two postings I am listing to 'test the waters' and see if it's worth doing. I'm going to try and list them for reasonable prices in order to recoup my initial investment. Our Generation Camden and Glitter Girls Shaska Come Home to Doll House

Hi Doll Friends!

So I know I've said I need to stop buying dolls... 

But sometimes, how can you help it? Haha! 

I've been looking for a boy doll with hazel eyes for the doll house for a little while now...

Low and behold, I found Camden. He was perfect! I've renamed him Aaron. I'm so happy to have him in the doll house. 

Then, I was on Amazon recently and I've always admired Glitter Girls Shaska for a while now. So when I saw that she was on sale for $13.50 with a $3.50 coupon? I couldn't help but pick her up! 

Here is Camden/Aaron while he was still in the box. I was so excited to get him that I didn't think to take the time to take 'in the box' photos of him. Isn't he handsome?

When Shaska arrived I decided it would be cute to have Aaron Doll help her out of her box in a sequence of photos. So here they are: 

She could totally be his little sister because she has hazel eyes too. 

These two Glitter Girl outfits were on a good sale, with the coupon applied they were only like $6.00 each, so I had to pick them up too!

New Doll Room! Just Getting Started But SO Excited!

 

Hi Doll Friends,

I haven't really mentioned much about it here because... 

Reasons...

But I've moved a couple of times in the last few years. 

In the place I moved into first, I barely had any room at all to store my dolls much less have any room to set up scenes for doll photos. 

However, I've moved again this year. It's taken a few months but we have finally cleared out a room for me to make a doll space again! I am so excited it feels like Christmas! I am slowly bringing home and unpacking my dolls from where they've been stored and every single doll I take out feels like a gift. I mean, I knew I had them all but pulling them out, holding them again and being able to sort their hair, it's so much fun! I've been trying to maximize the space I've got and so I purchased this shelving unit: 

Sort of as a trial to see if it was going to work out how I hoped it would. It worked like a charm!! I plan to buy a few more units over the next few months as my budget allows. The photo above is with the shelving unit and photo below is without it. 

Doesn't the top photo look so much better! 

So I am planning on doing the exact same set up on the other half of the room (below) Don't mind the gray zippered bags that my dollies have called home for ever too long laying empty in the corner. 

I think I'm going to be able to fit a whole lot of my doll stuff in the room! Especially when I factor in the closet! 

Here is the closet as it looks right now... You can see I have some of my card making supplies in there too (see blue arrow). See the two blue lines I drew between the two levels of hanging clothes? I plan to get two more rods to hang in there so I can hang up a lot more doll clothes. 

In the cabinet in there I've housed all my doll food and some other doll accessories and I am so excited to have them accessable! Seriously, I can barely sleep lately with organizing it all in my mind. Haha. So, I'll post an update when I get it more put together but I had to come show ya'll and share my excitement!!

Cute Doll Shoe Score From Super Organized Thrift Store

Just a super quick post to show you the cute shoe score I got from probably the most organized thrift store ever... There were other doll items too (see below) but I was good and only let myself buy the shoe three pack (see above). I love the roller skates and boots so much!
