Photo Review Of My Salon Doll Malaree Moser

Hi Doll Friends!

As I mentioned in my last post, I went to a hotel recently... Knowing I was going, I brought along several dolls that I'd wanted to get photos of. Hotels usually have ok lighting and oftentimes suitable backgrouds for doll photos.

I knew I wanted to bring along my 'My Salon Doll' Malaree Moser... I got her for Christmas and hadn't really had a chance to look her over myself because I was so busy with Christmas and then planning my daugters party. Knowing I was going to review her, I thought it'd be cute to bring her a robe... I'd been needing to show you this Our Generation 'Good Night Sleep Tight" set and what better time than now?

Side note: I am shaky on that name. I liked Moser because it as a family name and I thought it might be fun as an unusual first name. But it just doesn't 'fit' the doll when I think of her and the name together... Does that happen to you? A few of my dolls have been re-named for that reason.

Kind of an interesting set in that it's just a robe, socks and accessories. I love that it has an extra tissues box... I only have one in the doll house and I like this blue one better.

So here is little Miss Malaree-for-now in the set. Isn't she adorable in it?

*Nude Doll Warning!*
Since she's such a rare doll I am showing you her body type... She reminds me a lot of Just Pretend or Carpatina dolls if not a bit heavier.

Here she is

Oh, Doll Friends... I never like to say anything negative about dolls, especially dolls that are beautifully sculpted as this beauty is! The way they rooted her hair is utterly unique, it's supposed to be heat stylable. However it looks so thin and fragile to me I am almost afraid to even brush it much less heat style it! I'm just not sure what I think of it. I will have to see how it brushes out when I finally get brave enough to take it out of the ponytails.

Even her flat little rearend reminded me of the Just Pretend or Carpatina dolls.

Back in the robe! So... I think that the sculpt and body of this doll are likely at 9-10 out of 10. The hair... I am not sure about. Do any of you have this doll? What has been your experience with the hair? I'd love to hear any feedback about it.

She really is stunning, thin hair or not.

Happy Friday!

New Playtime By Eimmie 18inch Doll Review!!

Greetings & Salutations Doll Friends,

Aaaaaaand.... I had to have her. I posted a bit ago about a new doll I'd discovered on Amazon by Eimmie Playtime Dolls. I decided to use some of my birthday cash to buy her. I couldn't help myself! I had to check her out!

When I first saw her online I thought she was nearly identical to the Play Wonder doll, of which I have a few; EmmaJaxcine, and Layla

Here is what her shipping box looked like.

And when you open the top of the box you see the handle of her nifty carrying case... It's nearly exactly like the Our Generation Doll carrying cases which cost $20 or more. So such a great thing to get as an extra! I think the design on it is really cute too.

Here is what she looked like through the bag....

First glance! I love her freckles!

She also comes with a set of PJ's! So that's another $10 value... So... Essentially you're getting the doll for $20 or so if you look at it like that. I love her oh so cute sandles too! Aren't they cute?!

They also included a coupon card for a free hairbrush! I haven't signed up yet but I'll let you know what that's all about when I find out.

After receiving her though, I changed my mind and think she is much more similar to the Paradise Kids dolls in both her sculpt and body type. I would compare her to the doll in that post but she's since gone on to live in Korea with my sister friend Frann. Teehee. Here are some body shots so you can see what I mean.

Here is her tag.

Here is the stamp at the nape of her neck. It says "Playtime By Eimmie". In case you don't recall, I've bought another item by this doll line... A while ago I bought this adorable bedroom & kitchen interchangeable playscape and it is by the same doll line. Nifty!

Since it was such a nice day I decided I had to take her out for some photos at one of my favorite parks...

I brought along Angel (Emma as was) & Pamela for company.

I got some pretty great shots if I do say so myself... I love taking doll photos!

Then of course I had to take some photos of her in the playscape by the same company... Right?

So here she is getting ready for bed!

I really think Eimmie Doll company is going to do well... They have lovely items at pretty good prices! If you're looking for a doll to add to your collection, she would probably make a great one!

Better run!

Mei Mei 18inch Doll From Amazon Joins The Doll House!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

Recently, when I was shopping at Amazon, I had a 'product suggestion' of a doll I'd never heard of before?! MeiMei Dolls makes an 18inch doll line with four girls in the line that range from $55-58 in addition to many other dolls apparently. I don't know if I just somehow missed them until now or if they only recently started selling on Amazon? In any case, I happened to have some Christmas money (hence my being on Amazon and shopping that day in the first place) and so the only problem I had was picking which of the four I wanted?! They are all so pretty! You've already seen her, actually, if you saw my New Years Post because she was in the photos there.

When she arrived I was really impressed! The box is a sturdy heirloom quality box! This is a box you could store a doll in for years and she'd be safe and sound!

Inside the box was some beautiful liner paper with the MeiMei butterfly on it. Nice touch!

When you open the paper you'll find you sweet doll. Mine was winking at me!

Each of the dolls comes with a second outfit and the first thing I noticed was how completely gorgeous the dress the Party Girl Doll came with! So pretty!!

The meet outfit she comes with is great too! The shoes are adorable and the little polka dot skirt and white tshirt combo are simple but cute. As you can see she was held in the box with little white ribbons printed with MeiMe. Classy!! No zip ties here, just soft ribbons. Well done MeiMei dolls!

Here she is in the New Years photo! I haven't decided what I am going to name her yet. I plan to do a more proper review of her because her body type is different than American Girl, Our Generation and Journey Girls in that her whole body is plastic. Her hair is rooted and rather thick and soft. If I had to choose one word to describe her I think I would use "sturdy' because she has a very nice weight to her and feels like she'd be very hard to break. Interestingly enough, if she did have an arm or leg pop out, it says right in her description on Amazon that it's a quick fix. (I thought it was interesting they posted the photo...! I almost wondered if she was a 'kit' since they did but was glad to find that it was just informational in case she had an accident. So, I'll be back as soon as I can to show you comparison photos of her body compared to AG and OG etc. I am sure she will be in lots of photos going forward and will be one of my favorites! Then again, aren't all my dolls my favorites? Hahaha. I just love them. I can't help it.

Better run! Till Next Time!
