Heather Doll Gets New Outfit From The Thrift And Walmart

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!

So... Recently I went to a Thrift Store and found a grab bag of doll clothes for $1.99.
I bought it because I could see that one of the little dresses was a My Life As Doll dress with a beautifully patterned fabric. I could tell the rest of the clothes were baby doll clothes and, without thinking of taking a photo of the bag to show ya'll, I literally opened the bag right after I purchased it to confirm I was correct, which I was. So I grabbed the little dress and handed the rest of the grab bag to the person collecting donations before I even left the store.

I am so glad I found it because it is so so so pretty! Here is Heather Doll modeling it for you!

Then the same day I was in Walmart grabbing some groceries, and as I often do, I ran by the My Life As Doll section and what did I find?

A perfect pair of shoes to go with it! These Purple Strappy Platform shoes! So, for about $5.00 I had a snappy new outfit for my dolls!
Score!

They look perfect with the dress!!

Isn't it the cutest little outfit??

So of course I had to go out and have a little photo shoot with Heather Doll in the outfit!

I just love taking doll photos!

I hope this finds you having a fantastic day Doll Friends!!

My Life As Doll Scientist Doll On Clearance At Walmart!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!!

So... Last year I bought the My Life As Doll Scientist Doll because I loved the new face sculpt for her... Sadly, when I got her home, I found that that particular doll had a defective left leg and, at the time, as best as I could tell with her hair in pony tails, her hair was sadly sparsely plugged. So, I took her back to the store and got my money back. I always thought, if she should go on sale and/or I found her second hand I'd buy her though because I still loved her face sculpt and I figured if I got her on a good enough sale, I could always buy her another wig to replace her hair.

Well, low and behold, when I went to Walmart last week for groceries, I, as I often do, went to see if there was any new My Life As Doll items... I especially always look for shoes because they often have some pretty cute ones and they are priced at right about $3.00 a pair! What did I see though but the scientist doll on clearance for nearly half price at $17.00! Now I wasn't really looking to buy a doll but... I was weak! I put her in the cart immediately!!

Here she is after I got her back to the house!

I am so glad I decided to pick her up!! Because, after I got her out of the box I really decided that she was just beautiful!! I don't really understand why My Life As Doll didn't release this sculpt in other hair and eye color combinations and skin tones because it is a beautiful sculpt!

I just couldn't stop taking her photos when I took her out for a photo shoot!

She is just so pretty!!

And photogenic!

Don't you agree??

I took her photos in her full meet outfit for several photos...

Then I decided to take off her 'lab coat' and photo her in just her cute little dress.

It's a really cute little dress! It has little scientific symbols all over it.

Then I decided to change her clothes and put her in a different dress. This is one of the dresses I got recently in one of the two Doll Dress wardrobes' I bought on Amazon

To my delighted surprise, when I took her hair down out of her pony tails, I discovered that, her hair was actually quite lovely once I got it down out of the pony tails.

So I feel pretty bad about having reported that her hair was thinly plugged. I guess it was just because it was in ponytails that it looked that way. Once I got it down and brushed it out, it was actually gorgeous! So, sorry My Life As Dolls for the bad report last October!! I mean that doll did have a defective leg but such things happen but I was totally wrong about her hair!

Once again, when I started taking her photos with her hair down and dressed in a pretty new dress, I just couldn't stop taking her photo!

She really is a gorgeous doll!

So I am so glad I decided to just put her in my cart even though a new doll wasn't likely in my budget right now. How could I not for only $17.00 though right?

I haven't decided what to name her yet... But I'm sure I'll think of a good name in short order1

So perhaps you'll find her on clearance in your local Walmart too! If you do, let me know in the comments! I sure hope they come out with this face sculpt in other hair and eye and skin tone combinations with the new stuff that should be hitting the stores in the next few months! I'm sure I'll buy one or two (or three or six) of them if they do. Hahaha.

Better run!

My Life As Doll Find At Local Thrift Store & Her Visit to Peach Park!

Greetings And Salutations Doll Friends!

How can it be July 5th already! Hope you had a nice holiday weekend! I had to come show you this lovely My life As Doll Doll I found recently at the thrift store. She needed a bit of cleaning up and so I de-tangled her hair, cleaned her up, put her in some fresh clothes and...
Then I took her to Peach Park for some photos!

Here she is in a 'before' photo. As you can see, I got her for a mere $2.99! She was honestly in pretty good shape... Her original braid had never even been removed from the front of her hair but she did need a lot of tangles removed and a good clean up!

She turned out so nice! Isn't she pretty?!

I think I got some pretty good photos and when I was all done I treated myself to some of Peach Park's famous peach cobbler with peach ice cream on top!
YummO!

She posed by all of the iconic scenes to be seen at Peach Park!

It is a really beautiful place!

Several little walking trails between the place where you can buy all the amazing peach and other fruit produce items (and even Fried Green Tomatoes!) and the other parts of the park.

Here she is by the red caboose! You can see the little red barn that kids can play in in the background too.

My favorite of all the 'things to see' at the Peach Park has to be this lighthouse fountain. It's rather hot at Peach Park this time of year and just being next to the fountain feels cooler. It's really pretty too, obviously.

There are several animal statues they have there for photo ops and so of course I had to take her photo by them!

Here she is by the neat little play ground.

So it was fun going there to take photos! I'm sure I'll visit there again and I'm sure I'll take a doll with me again too! Neat place!

At the same thrift store I found a few other doll items but since I am just 'traveling' in Alabama right now, I won't allow myself to buy 'bigger' doll items. Which is kind of hard to do!

Oh, I really wanted to buy this vending machine from My Life As... I've wanted to get one 'new' but haven't done so yet and so it was super hard to make myself put it back.

It didn't have any of the soda's or water bottles it comes with new but $2.99 was a steal!!

I also found this Our Generation Washer and, again, had it in my cart even... But I eventually put it back. Can only let myself buy dolls I can pack to take home, eh?

I did buy this cute Madame Alexander Doll though! I've since gotten her cleaned up and dressed but I haven't had a chance to take 'after' photos of her yet! And see the little bag of clothes next to her? It was a great deal! There were several actual American Girl Doll clothing items in it! So I'll have to show you what I got in it as well!

The Ice Cream Vendor Bike by My Life As Doll was another one I was tempted by but ultimately put back. One of pedals was missing and, well, it's a huge item... So I left it in the store! Same with the little wooden rocking horse.

Naturally since I can't buy big items in my travels, I didn't buy this great horse either. Oh so hard to be good!

Well, it's late so I better hit the hay before I fall asleep on my laptop!
Have a fantastic week Doll Friends!
