New In Box Madame Alexander Doll Find At A Local Flea Market!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

So recently I went to a local Flea Market with my sister... I saw all manner of neat doll items...

These pretty doll horses...

This cute little doll... She was actually 18 inches tall but she had a slim line body and I am making myself stay with the American Girl Doll sized doll and doll clothes right now. So I simply took her photo and moved on. Behind her was a cute 18-inch doll that I thought about for a moment but I left her there as well...

She was sitting on this really cute doll horse...

I saw a My Life As Doll doll...

But then... I happened upon this beauty. She was marked $24.99 and at first I left her where she sat because I didn't really have that in the budget right now. But... Then my sister looked her up on eBay and made me realize that I ever wanted to get her in the future I'd be paying three times as much...
So I threw caution to the four winds and put her in my cart.

I'm so glad I decided to buy her...!

Because she is so pretty! Her little outfit is adorable and so well made as well!

She has such a sweet little face...

And her hair is gorgeous!

So, she'll make a great addition to my little collection!

Better run!

Kit Doll Visits The Marriott Spring Hill Suites

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

So last week I happened to stay at the Spring Hill Suites for one night...
Well...
Of course I had to bring a doll with me so I could take the opportunity to take some doll photos!

I decided that Kit would be the lucky doll to accompany me to my stay at the hotel!

So these are the photos I took! I had so much fun taking them and only got a few strange looks! (I went out very early in the morning!)

Have you taken any doll photos lately? I'd love to see yours!

Better run!

Kindred Heart Paige Gets A Twin...!

Doll Friends!

Recently I customized my Kindred Heart Paige. When I went to Amazon to find a link to put on that post and what did I find but that, then, Paige had gone down in price to only $21.55! I impulsively purchased a second one! She arrived in short order and here she is with Lee Hye-bin!

I bought her with with customization in mind... I won't lie, one reason Lee Hye-bin got her makeover was that I was never very thrilled about her hair. Her bangs were just... what's a good word? Flat I guess... Well, when Paige #2 arrived, I was glad to see that I thought same thing about this one. She even had unevenly cut bangs...! So I didn't feel bad at all about cutting off her hair.

I started to make a little progression photography thing session where Lee Hye-bin greeted her... But then I didn't get it finished... I figured I'd share the ones I took.

I decided to give her a 'natural' color wig and plan to name her after another one of my daughters favorite Kpop stars... I'll reveal the name after I tell my daughter!

Isn't she adorable?!?! I love her!

I better run! I want to finish several posts this morning because I've been so flaky lately...

Have a great day!

Citi Pal's Dolls Just Kept Dropping Price! Introducing Selma And Salome!

Doll Friends,

What's a girl to do? I go to Sam's Club to return a shirt my daughter didn't care for and naturally I just check by the last aisle they have of the toys (Sam's only carries toys around Christmas I think...). You know, to see what's left., for research and all... Low and behold there are Citi Pal's left and they are only $4.71 each!! What?! The problem was that I'd already bought one of the two little girls they had left, from Chicago, when they moved them to $9.71 (I can't recall her factory given name just now, I am not keeping it and so I didn't really have it stick in my brain. LOL)

So... I bought one with the idea of changing her hair so she'd have a whole new look but I'd also have twins. Twins often wear their hair differently because it's pretty much the only alteration they can make to their appearance that will set them apart from their twin. So... Perfect!

I asked my Facebook (or maybe it was Instagram) connections for name ideas and my lovely friend Karrie suggested Selma and Simone. Which I loved! However, I already have a Simone, named after Nina Simone, one of the best singers of all time... Since I have my other Sekiguchi Salome doll in storage (I know... I know... So sad to keep dolls in boxes but... I never used them in scenes but couldnt make myself part with them because they were are so cute!) I have decided to name them Selma and Salome! I think Selma will be the one with the rainbow wig because it's the bit more 'sassy' of the two names, I think. Salome's name comes from the Bible.  She's one of the women who traveled with Jesus (after He healed her) when He was going from town to town telling about the Kingdom of God. So, naturally I think it's a swell name.

Aren't they fabulous!? I sure think so...
I know I know...
I love all the dolls...!
But I do though!
Hahaha.

Well, believe it or not, school break is over and I have to go herd the cats wake up the teenagers for school... Pray for me. *giggles* But seriously, pray.

Have a great week Doll Friends!

PS You know as I was writing out this blog I needed to do a search of my blog to find the appropriate links and as I was typing in 'Citi' so all the Citi Pal postings would come up I was all annoyed "Why do people have to go and change the appropriate spelling of words?" Until, duh! I realized they likely called them Citi Pals because they are made by Cititoy! Clever!
Ok, going...!

Starpath Doll Arrives At The Doll House

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

Recently when I was watching of my favorite YouTube channels about dolls I found a review of a new kind of 18inch doll! What?!? I was intrigued to say the least. So off I went to look for the doll and low and behold a few of my other doll related YouTube channels also had reviews! So I watched them all and decided I needed to bring one of these beautiful dolls home to the Doll House!

The line of dolls is called Starpath Dolls. They are actually 18.5 inches, which is a neat difference I think since actual people are all manner of different heights. Eh? They come with a book, kind of like American Girl dolls but with one huge difference. The books you get with these dolls can be customized to your (or your child's) own names and favorites so it is a story all about you! Awesomeness!!

As luck would have it, my husband, ever one to spoil me, handed me a gift card last weekend! Some guys bring flowers... my husband knows I prefer dolls! But he has lost track of which I own and so gifts me with money instead... He's the best! Ironically enough it was for nearly the exact price point of the Starpath dolls! So, as I am sure you can imagine, I had one ordered lickety-split!

When I ordered her I assumed it'd be a couple of weeks before I got her since the book would need to be made... So imagine my surprise and delight to find her waiting for me on my front porch at lunch time yesterday! Super fast shipping! Amazon couldn't have even gotten her here quicker! Well done Starpath dolls!

Wednesday's are my busiest day of the week really because after work we go to church. Our church is an hour away... So by time we get home it's late and I am much too tired to "doll". So I only was able to get her out of box and take a couple of photos of her! I am hoping today the weather will be nice and I can get some more photos because she is so beautiful!! She seems to be really well made too! I'll look her over more closely today after work and compare her to a couple of other standard 18inch dolls like American Girl, Our Generation, MyLifeAs and Journey Girls. I've needed to do a side by side comparison for a while now anyway. So I'll try and get that done soon!

Better run! Happy Friday Eve!
