Two New Custom Dolls! Makeovers for Duck House and Famosa Nancy Dolls!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

I customized two dolls this past weekend... I love how they came out!!

Here they are with their new looks! I still need to glue on the wigs but I just had to come show you how cute they came out.

This little fella started life as a Duck House girl doll but I think he makes a perfect boy!!

And this Famosa Nancy looks amazing with her new hair! I had two 'golden haired' Famosa's and decided I needed to re-think my collection and that dupes either had to go or be remade into a custom... I think it's amazing how they can look like totally different dolls!

Here are before photos of the Duck House doll. I've tried to find out more information about this brand of dolls... I found this blog post from Just Magic Dolls and this one from Doll Diaries... So fascinating how many different kinds of dolls there are, right?

One of her eyelashes had been ripped off and I have to admit I originally picked her up for her clothes in hopes that they'd fit my Famosa's... I love her little jeans!! She was marked $5.99 which is a bit mroe than I usually like to pay for dolls just for their doll clothes but when I looked at her little face, I suddenly saw a brother for my little sister dolls in the Doll House! So... It had to happen. Right?

Have you ever seen this manner of dolls?

Better run!

My Famosa Nancy Collection So Far...

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

I've been working on making posts about various collections of dolls  I have in the Doll House. One of my favorite but also one I realized recently I don't pull out very often, are Famosa Nancy dolls.

I've done several posts about them in the past... Here's a list in no particular order if you're curious starting with one about how I found my very First Famosa Nancy Doll from eBay!

Then there are:

For whatever reason though, for the last little while, they haven't made it off the shelf. So I decided to pull them out and show my current collection. I posted in the blogs listed above where I got each of them all except one and I am reasonably certain the last one I got was also from a thrift store.

I think they have the cutest faces!! They can wear Journey Girls shoes almost like they're made for them... They are a tiny bit big but not so big that they fall off. They stand very well both in shoes and out of shoes. That's one thing I love about them, how sturdy they are on their feet. A lot of people might not like their hard plastic legs but for what it's worth, I think that is the reason they stand so well.

Here they are with one of my new Adora Dolls to show you how they are, size wise, compared to 18inch dolls. They make great sisters or friends I think.

They have the prettiest eyes! Have you ever seen a Famosa Nancy in your travels or on eBay? Maybe you have one of your own in your collection? If so, I'd love to see her!!

Better run, my family is needing dinner cooked.
Till Next Time!

Vintage Madame Alexander Dress Find

Howzit Doll Friends?

Take a look at what I found at the Flea Market!? I have mentioned before that there is a vendor there that sells random toys. She has a big box of doll clothes that she sells for 50cents each and I dig through it every single time we go there.

This gorgeous Madame Alexander dress! For 50cents! It is so pretty and so well made!

It does have one flaw, a little tear in the stitching on the bodice that I'll fix as soon as we get moved and I can get my hands on my sewing stuff! Being totally bereft of all my sewing stuff has me fit to be tied, I will tell you. I digress...

I think my Famosa Nancy doll looks absolutely stunning in the dress. It makes her eyes just pop!!

She is wearing some Journey Girls shoes that came with Kate Elise (Kelsey) because the Journey Girls shoes fit Famosa Nancy doll feet pretty well. They are a tiny bit too big but they look cute on.

Well, that's it for now Doll Friends!
Till next time!
