Lately at the Thrift Store... How is it Mid-August Already?!

Hi Doll Friends,

I have been avoiding Thrift Stores more this year, just because I have less time and I don't want to be tempted to add to my doll collection when I need to be thinning it out not adding to it. Haha. However I do go sometimes because it's fun! So here is what I've seen when I've been out and about at thrift stores. I feel like I've been very reasonable because the only thing I've purchased is this Star Wars mini-book (below). I was really tempted to buy the classroom when I saw it because I've wanted one for ever so long but luckily as I was thinking about it while I was walking around another person bought it. Haha. Hope this finds you having a wonderful day when you read this.

PS These Precious Moments Dolls were so cute!! In a different lifetime where I had endless storage space? I would probably have bought every single one. LOL

 

 

Doll Sightings At The Thrift Stores!

Hi Doll Friends!

I know I am always apologizing for not posting as often as I once did but here is me, once again, saying sorry that it's been a while... 

Here are a few things I've seen out and about at thrift stores lately!

I almost bought this bear for the sweater but then decided against it. Hmmm... Not sure why, it's a cute sweater and would've probably fit on the dolls. Oh well, I'd have felt bad leaving him with no sweater to keep warm now that it's been getting colder. 

More Our Generation Horses... I have several horses already and so I left them there. 

The grey one was very tempting though... Cos I don't have a gray horse!

I thought this little gal had a cute face. 

This cow was so tempting! I thought and thought about it but he was like $8 and I was slim on cash that day. So cute though! 

Another cute doll I saw... 

More cute porcelain dolls... 

This one especially! She's adorable!

What cute little chairs... I actually bought the smaller ones. Teehee.

I thought these grown man dolls were interesting.

I thought they were crazy to be wanting $69.99 for this doll. 

I mean I don't think they were that much when they were new.

Not a horrible price but she needed lots of work!

And a very cute BFC Inc doll (I think) but I had a few of these. I actually think they may still be in my basement in a box of dolls I have meant to get rid of and/or perhaps sell but I am horrible at following thru on such things... *sigh* Oh well... 

Better run because I have another post I want to get done before I am out of time!

More Thrift Store Finds and Left Behinds...!

Doll Friends,

I am so behind on... Everything. This week was the first week of school for the kids and I've just run run run and still feel behind on everything. Am sure you can relate if you have kids! 

Just a moment here but wanted to shout out about my recent thrift finds and left behinds... 

First, the finds. I found these cute little baskets for only 50cents each. I think they'll look cool in a Farmers stand scene or something...

My daughter thought this one looked like a hat... Indeed, it kind of works! Here is Vicky Doll showing it off. 

Here is Syracuse with a bench I found for only 50cents. I think the heart on it is funny! It's all lopsided. I think I like it more than normal boring hearts... I bet my own heart is lopsided too... LOL Kidding! But I like the funny charm of it. 

Then there is the left behinds!

(AKA things I didn't buy but thought you might find interesting or that I might have bought if I had endless space and money! hahaha!) 

I almost bought this.... But... Space...! I can't go buying a whole new doll size of display scenes. Although, as per my usual, I am kicking myself at I type this... It could've been a store display for the small dolls... Ugh. Oh well...

These Precious Moments Dolls were adorable but... Again... I don't need a whole new type of doll in the Doll House! I have bought some Precious Moments dolls in the past but I've since weeded them out... So... They sure are cute though!

More sad forlorn porcelain dolls... 

These three little porcelain dolls were totally adorable though!! I don't buy porcelain or I'd have them right now... The face sculpt on them all is adorable!! 

I bought this bench by the way... It was only 99cents. How could I not? 

This is the mark on the neck of one of them... I can't even read it...? 

This dresser was kind of cool... 

But kind of nasty on the inside... I guess it could be cleaned up but... 

For $9.99, I left it there. 

Another kick me moment!! This fold up rocking chair is adorable and I should've bought it. 

Ugh. Oh well... Can't buy 'all the things' can I?

And two more... 

This one rode around in my shopping buggy a while... Ultimately I put it back... As I look at it now I am like "Why??!?!" Hahaha! It would've been fabulous in an arcade scene! 

I thought this was interesting... It was like a wall plaque. I probably should've bought it cos it would've been good for scenes but... Maybe it'll be there next time. It's kind of a strange item. 

Cute but incomplete doll sized tea set. 

A cute little pram (I should've bought! Why do I talk myself out of so many good things?!?) and a cute littel apple dresser...

And this little lady had the most compelling face... Don't you think? 

I guess she wasn't that little... Probably 20inches tall... Pretty doll!
