Beautiful Gift For Doll House From Dear Friend!!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

As you may know if you read this blog regularly, because of this blog I've met and become friends with the loveliest, sweetest and most generous Frann. She has made writing this blog so much more fun! I mean, it was fun before we met here but much more two dimensional if that makes sense. I could tell by looking at stats on Blogger that it was being read here and there but it was all so anonymous that it was more like writing a diary about my dolls than talking to anyone else really...

So when Frann wrote her first comment, I was so excited and touched to have an actual "reader" who regularly read my blog, not just stumbled in because they searched a certain doll on Google or what not... Just that alone made a difference. So then as I wrote my blog, it was more like sitting down for coffee with Frann and talking dolls. Much more fun! We started talking via comments at first. Since then, she's become a treasured friend... The more we get to know each other the more we have in common! Isn't the Internet groovy!! So... Recently she told me that, as her Chusuk gift to me, she was sending me some doll furniture for the doll house! How fun! I was so excited although the generosity of her gift blew me away.... I've learned that she finds joy in gift giving and so just humbly accept her sweet gifts with joy as well. ❤️
She sent sample photos of what she was sending but nothing could've prepared me for the beautiful work of art furniture that arrived in the mail... All the way from Russia (with love!❤️)

The fireplace, wardrobe and bed are all what arrived so far... Frann tells me even more is on way (!!!) but I just had to show you what was here!

It's like my dream furniture in real life, all doll sized! I decided the first doll to try out the bed should be Calla because she is Frann and my twin doll (I customized two MAs, both alike, one for each of us)

The wardrobe is so amazing. It's got deep drawers (one can even hold my doll sized violin!) and even came with fancy wood hangers!!

FrannDoll and HeatherDoll were still dressed up from the Chusuk Feast but had to check out the room too!

They love it! All the dolls do! 😀

Here they are by the fireplace and wardrobe.

MaryDoll and EmilyAnneDoll just got new vintage dresses and said "We should model them in the new room!!" I agreed.

So so excited about all the upcoming photos in the coming years with this great furniture!! Thank you so much Frann!  You're a treasured friend and I think of you as an intrigal part of this blog because our friendship has brought it to life! So thank you thank you thank you. ❤️❤️

Our Generation Summer Clothes Sets!!

Hi There Doll Friends!!

As you may know if you read this blog regularly, I recently had a birthday... So I had a few of my favorite people in the world spoil me with some pretty amazing gifts! One of the gifts I got was from my sweet and generous sister friend Frann. She gave me the gift of a shopping spree to buy 'Twinsies Outfits' for our dolls. Since we live so far away, one of the fun things we like to do is dress the Twinsie Dolls we have in twinsie outfits. It's like playing dolls together even though we are half a world away. I love it.

So her idea was to have me pick out some doll outfits & accessories for us as twinsies because she doesn't have quite the same selection in Korea as we do here in the states. She sent me a very generous 'gift card' to do the shopping with. Well, being me, I wanted the money to stretch over as many outfits and accessories as possible. So I started poking around to see what was on sale at the various places that sell such things. Low and behold what did I find at Target that day but a 24hour long sale of 25% off all the toys on top of the already on sale price!! What!? It was like winning the lottery! I was able to get us ever so many twinsie outfits for really good deals. It was some of the most fun I've had in a while! So thank you thank you thank you Frann!!

Here are some photos of my 'half' of the twinsie outfits, all in their boxes as they shipped to me:

(The four boxes with the Target tape, the long boxes on the behind them are some blinds that got delivered same day. Sure the mail people love us. Teehee....)

Then this is all of them combined into one box... I think they ship them from different stores or something and so some of the boxes only had one or two items in them. I sent Frann a few of my favorite OG outfits that I already owned (like the Little Miss Dahling Outfit and the Cupcake Cutie Outfit) so we'd have twinsies on those but otherwise we got all the same stuff. SO much FUN! I have gotten nearly all the boxes opened and dolls dressed in them but haven't managed to get them all photographed yet. I did use a few of the outfits in my Thanksgiving Post  where Heather, Frann and Lilly doll all wore an outfit from the collection. When they came in time for them to wear them for the fancy Thanksgiving feast, I knew I had to have them do so!! They looked so cute!! Here is a couple of photos in case you don't feel like clicking linky to the other post.

Lilly Doll is wearing the Fashion Overall Outfit, Heather Doll is wearing Pretty Groovy outfit and Frann is modeling the Flower Power outfit. Don't they all look adorable!?

The other day it was very sunny out, especially considering it was late November... So I took advantage of the great light and took a few of the dolls I had dressed in the outfits out for some photos outside.

Here is Angela Doll wearing the Summer Market outfit but I forgot to bring the little bag and sunglasses outside with me. She is so beautiful and the outfit looks so amazing on her!

Next we have Carlene Doll modeling rhe Dance Party Outfit! Isn't it absolutely adorable!??! It even came with a little record!

Next we have Diane Doll modeling another retro outfit (I love the retro ones for some reason!). This one is called Polka Dot Skirt outfit.

Lastly for this post I have Francis Doll wearing the adorable Summer Camp Outfit. I love the shoes and the socks and the little lip gloss that she wears around her neck. So adorable!

I'll be back soon with another posting of the rest of the Twinsies Outfits I found for our dolls. Again, Thanks so much Frann!! I'll have to post some of the photos of your dollies wearing same outfits soon! It is so much fun having twinsie dolls with my cherished sister friend!

Have a great day Doll Friends!

Our Generation Retro Cruiser Fresh Off Showroom Floor!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

You may recall the other day when Frann Doll went to Target. Well, soon afterwards I was talking to my sister friend Frann (real Frann who Frann Doll is doppelganger for) on Facetime and she said she had a some holiday money and she wanted to give me car I talked about in that post! I was so touched!! If you want to touch me right in the feels, buying me a doll item is one of the surest ways! It was such a generous offer! I humbly accepted because I know it makes her happy to gift things to people she loves. I am just honored and eternally grateful to be one of those people. 💓

Thank you so much Frann!!! I love love love it!!!

She didn't mind that I decided I wanted to get the gray one, once I found out there was a gray one. Don't get me wrong, I think the pink one is super cute too. However, when I choose items for my dolls, I always try and get the most 'realistic' items I can find. You don't see nearly as many pink cars as you do gray ones and so I just loved how much more realistic it felt. It still has the cute pink trim and I honestly like the 'chrome' colored grill rather than the gold color on the pink car. Because, again, you see a lot more chrome details on real cars than gold ones. You know what I mean? They are both adorable though.

It arrived very quickly, days before I expectedit. However, I was immediately concerned because it looked like the box was crushed down. Not a good sign.

And sure enough, there was a bit of damage. Bummer!!!!!

They were silly in packaging it, only filling the box up a bit with the air inflated bubbles... So when heavier boxes where invariably set on top of this one, it crushed. They should've marked it 'top of stack' or 'fragile' or something? As it was, I contacted Target via thier chat. I told them of my problem and said that sending it back would probably be crazy expensive. Also that my local Target didn't have the gray colored car and so it wasn't like I could take it back to store and exchange it. So we made a compromise. They refunded 10% of the price in a gift certificate. While I am not happy that there is a little scratch on my car, I felt that was fair. It's just a tiny bit of pink paint scraped off but since it's a brand new car it should've been perfect... So, I felt that it was a fair compromise.

I really love this sweet little car... I've only gotten the chance to take these few photos of it but am hoping today after church to take it outside and get some good ones in the sunshine!!

I couldn't help myself, I had to make Josh and Heather doll the first passengers!! Of course Frann Doll will get a ride today when I take it out in the sun!! I also laughed at myself when I automatically put Josh doll in the drivers seat. That's the way we roll, for 27 years now... When we go places, Josh drives. What can I say, I am old fashioned or something. (Or maybe lazy? Heeheehee) I am actually just a nervous driver and so when I don't have to, I prefer not to.

I'll have to come back and give you a more proper look at everything but it is one of the coolest doll cars I've ever seen! The radio works! The head and taillights work! The hood raises...!! And....

There is even a rumble seat for your pet or some luggage!! So utterly adorable!!

I had to have Heather and Josh go to the 'drive in'!! Here they are watching one of my favorite shows: Game of Thrones. If you saw my recent post about my custom Daenerys you'll have heard more about that.

Low on time this morning! I better get ready for church! More of a review and better photos to come later! But I had to come and show you my amazing new car!! Thanks so much again Frann! You're so sweet to me!!

Till Next Time!

Welcome Charlsea to The Doll House! Thanks Frann!!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

If you've read this blog for any time at all, you'll likely know that I have a wonderful beloved sister friend named Frann I made via this very blog. In fact, of all the good my little hobby here has brought into my life, my friendship with Frann is the most precious. I literally think it's the reason God compelled me into writing it in the first place. That's kind of an amazing story... I'll tell it sometime but I want to give it it's very own blog post and maybe even YouTube video! I also literally just had that idea as I typed it. Side note, have I ever mentioned I write my blog posts kind of on the fly with no real set plan as to what I am going to say and that I am dismal at ever coming back to edit? I'm like Edna in The Incredibles... "I never look back daaaahling...." Apparent, likely, is that in my erratic chain of thoughts I leave here I suppose. Hahaha. I am digressing and bunny-trailing all over the place here. Back to the reason I mentioned all this in the first place!!

Frann and I love to have Twinsie Dolls!! We have so many now that I'll need to take a group photo and show them all to you soon and tell you their stories. So last week was a holiday in Korea, where Frann lives and she wanted to treat us to another Twinsie Doll! So, on that note:

Welcome Maplelea Charlsea to the Doll House! Frann said she'd like to get us Maplelea dolls but let me choose which one to get. I chose Charlsea because I love many things about her...

She's got a sweet face and cute layered pumpkin colored hair. She's got a super cute meet outfit!

Most importantly though, to me, was her little personality. She's very into crafts and being creative. I think that's fabulous!!

Oftentimes when we get Twinsie Dolls, the twins will both come to the Doll House and then go off to live in Korea with Frann and her dolls... This time, in interest of getting her Charlsea to her sooner to when my Charlsea arrived,we had them ship Frann's Charlsea twin to her directly. So Frann should have Charlsea at her house this coming week!

As with all Maplelea Dolls, like my first and only other Maplelea Doll Saila, Charlsea came with an amazing little notebook journal that tells all about her. The quality of these little books blow me away. I think just the book alone, in a book store, would probably cost at least $25. Considering the whole doll, including the book, is $99.99, I think that's wonderful! I love good value and quality!

As with many dolls, you can't really appreciate how cute and pretty a doll is until you get it out in the natural light and take a good look. Charlsea is beautiful!!

Here she is with Lilly Doll, who's welcoming her to the Doll House by taking a little walk with her. Jet lag from Canada isn't too bad but still the flight was so long! (Teehee)

Naturally, the first thing she wanted to do was to get out of the clothes she was wearing in her box! She'd never worn anything else and it felt so good to get to try a different look!

I think Charlsea is so lovely and am sure she'll be a frequent 'player' in upcoming blog posts and YouTube videos!

Thank you so much Frann!! I love love love her! You're so sweet to me!

The girls really enjoyed their walk! I made a little YouTube Video of their walk too, if you'd like to take a look at it, it's right here.

I just looked at the time! I have to run if I am going to make it to church on time!

Till Next Time!
