First Doll Photos In A While... Reprah Takes a Walk...

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

It's been a while since I got out and took Doll Photos. So I am determined to get out on a regular basis and take some because it's one of my favorite aspects of my doll hobby. So last week I randomly grabbed a doll to get out for photos. I picked Reprah, a custom I made from a New York Doll Company Citi Girls that I got on an amazing sale. I love the photos I got.

So I am trying to hold myself accountable... I want to get back to enjoying my Doll Hobby more often even if it's not to the scale I once did. What doll hobby things have ya'll done lately? Tell me about them in the comments!

Customized City Girls Dolls Make Whole New Look!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends,

As I mentioned in my last post I mentioned I purchased a few City Girl Dolls specifically to customize them with new wigs. I got a couple of them done and had to come here and show them to you!

Here we have a customized and an 'original' Beth. The one on the left is the customized one and the one on the right is the one as she comes. I think they are both just gorgeous!!

Here we have two Harper's. Obviously the one on the left is the original one. I've decided to name the customized one Reprah. I love how she came out!

I still plan to customize another Harper and my new extra Jazz but I just have to find the exact perfect wig for them.

Better run!

City Girls By New York Doll Company On Huge Discount Sale... For Like One Day...?

Greetings Doll Friends!

This is one of those situations that I am excited to tell you about because it was such an amazing buy but also sad to tell you about because it isn't available anymore. As you may know, I've gotten a few City Girls Dolls by New York Doll Company in the past. I absolutely love them! They are really well made sturdy dolls. I've wanted to add to my collection of three for a while now so I sometimes run by them on Amazon to see if the price has come down at all.

So, I did that same thing in late July and...
Oh. My. Stars.
For whatever reason they had them on sale for $19.99 each!?!!?
What?!?!?
The normal price being $49.99 to $89.99, I almost fell off my chair.
So... Being me, I bought... Well... FIVE of them.
Honestly I bought so many because I thought perhaps they were clearing them out and weren't going to be making them anymore. For whatever reason the Madison one wasn't on sale that day? So I bought two Harper's, two Beth's and one Jazz. My thinking was that the Harper's and extra Jazz could be customized since I already have her in my collection. Then I bought two Beth's because I'd keep one as she came and customize the second one.

See? Here is the 'proof' that I'm not totally bonkers and I did actually find them on sale for so little!

What's weird is the sale literally only lasted like half a day... Cos the next morning when I went back with thoughts of perhaps buying more (I decided not to... Not sure if I regret it or not?) Jazz was already back to $89.99 and by that evening they were all back at their regular prices.

I've been meaning to come here and tell you about them and as you can see, I only took photos of one of the Beth's and one of the Harper's when I got them.
I finally decided I better get here and tell you about them because I've customized one of the Harper's and one of the Beth's in the last couple of days.
I'll come show them to you soon!

Better run!

Starpath Doll Wandering Star Compared to Our Generation and City Girls Dolls

Hi Doll Friends!

Per a request from a reader (Hi Reader!), I am posting a side by side comparison of my recently acquired Starpath Wandering Star Doll alongside one of my Our Generation dolls, Blue, and one of my City Girls Doll, Harper. My reader was curious as to the 'shininess' of the 'skin' on the Starpath doll and I thought the best way to answer her question was to show her comparison to dolls she might be more familiar with.
So...
Here they are!
Let me know if that answers your question sufficiently dear reader!
(Seriously, if not let me know and I'll try again. 😁)

Have a great weekend!

Took Dolls To The Park! First Doll Photography In Ever So Long....

Hi Doll Friends,

I finally got out into the sunshine and took some doll photos last week...
Felt good.
Wish I could say I have totally stayed out of the woods on the depression front... But it's kind of been a wondering in and wondering out and wondering back in sort of few weeks recently.

So I meant to take some pretty Easter Photos last week to post... I got the dolls dressed to go out for the photos and...
Didn't get them taken... Not even inside.
*sigh*
Then I didn't even have the heart to come say Happy Easter because I didn't have any 'new' Easter photos to post with it.
I'm ridiculous.

So, I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
I better run... Always behind on life lately.
