Hats At The Dollar Tree For Wellie Wishers!

Hi Doll Friends!!

Just a quick post here about some cute hats I found yesterday at the Dollar Tree!! They had several colors (I forgot to snap a photo of them at store... Rats!!) and they came in packs of three. They are the same 'weight' as the plastic party hats they make for 'real people' and oh so cute!!

I knew they wouldn't fit the 18inch dolls but thought they would work for the American Girl Wellie Wishers and for the Heart For Hearts Dolls... I was so glad to be right when I got them home. At that point my only regret was only buying two sets. I tend to be cautious about things and didn't want to 'waste the money' if I was wrong about them fitting a doll... Haha. So I'll have to go back and get the other colors which, if memory serves, were green and blue but I can't recall for absolutely certain. (Can't believe I didn't think to take a photo at store?! But I was in a hurry...)

Here is what they look like in the package. I found them by the party section with the party favors on an end cap.

They fit perfectly!! A friend in one of my doll groups said "Those would be perfect to decorate as Easter hats!" and I totally agree with her! So I am going to have to go get a few more just so I can add flowers and frills to them!

Sorry for the 'impromptu photos' of them but I wanted to show them to you as soon as possible just in case you wanted to look for them this weekend ahead of Easter yourself! I'll get more proper photos taken of them soon!

Better run!
Have a great weekend!!

Heart For Hearts 14inch Doll Collection... So far...!

Hi Doll Friends!

It is such a busy time of the year! So I am a little behind in my recent idea to update my doll collection posts here since my collection has grown quite a lot over the last year. I finally found time to get the Heart For Hearts dolls posed and photographed.

Here they all are!

From Left to Right Back Row:

-Lauryce (Name she came with but I loved it)
-Simone
-Surjan (Name she came)

From Left to Right Front Row:

-Lilian (Name she came with)
-Katniss
-Maurine
-?? Not named yet! Just got her!!

All but one of them have been found second hand because they are sadly retired and extremely expensive on the 2nd hand market unless you happen to find them in a thrift store like I've done with mine... I got my most recent one that I've posted about this year in May. here is the story of Katniss and my other Dell doll and one other I just found this last week at a thrift store I haven't taken the time to post about.

For a little more information on this manner of dolls here is the Heart For Hearts Dolls Facebook page! They really are cute little dolls. I feel like they are a little bit too fragile for all but a bit older girls who are very careful with their dolls. From what I understand they plan to bring them back out on the market soon and I think that is great. The regular new price point of $40 is pretty good compared to the American Girl Wellie Wishers but they are also not as 'sturdy' as I understand those to be. These dolls also had a bit of an issue with the eyes fading color and turning purple or other odd colors. This has started to happen with my Lauryce... Still, they are really beautiful dolls and a great 'little sister' for American Girl, Our Generation and other 18inch dolls.

Here they all are in my new 'transport basket' being shuttled from where they are stored to the photo spot!

A very handy way to transport and store them if you need to... Laundry baskets!

Here they are all put back in their normal 'homes...

Better run!
Till Next Time!

What Happens When I Discover Panorama Button On My Iphone

Greetings Doll Friends!

So, a lot of ya'll are probably going to laugh at me for having just 'discovered' the panoramic button on my iPhone. I guess I've noticed it before but, being as I wasn't in market to sell my home, I couldn't see any real or practical application for it, I never used it at all.

Until the other day when I was taking photos and accidentally set it to that setting and took a very strange photo. However, it made me see the panorama button in a whole new light!

With panorama setting, I can take a really neat photo of the doll room and get a lot of the little details of the room that you'd miss in a standard photo! Awesomeness!

This was my very first attempt to do one and it looked kind of 'Twilight Zone' so I decided to keep it.

On this one, I even left it where you can see 'outside of the Doll House' into the 'real world. Just thought the perspective was fun.

I love how it get's every single detail into the photo!

I had to try a few group photos! It's very difficult, with regular photo, to get all their faces into the shot, someone is always half hidden. In this photo, Ariel is a bit hidden but otherwise, you can see most everyone!

So I moved her around and now you can see every single doll in the photo! I'd like to say I have all the dolls in this photo but the Doll Sorority has gotten so large, it is harder to do! I think I'll set them all up and take a panorama of them soon but... For now, here's a lot of the gang!

I even had three up on the top bunk and tried getting them in the shot but couldn't pull it off without showing the top and over the 'wall' to the Dollhouse. Phooey!

Ok, I'll stop. I am thinking there will be lots of panoramic photos in my Doll House future! Look, you can even see the little dolls in the dolls' dollhouse! Sweet!

See you next time!
