My Life As Doll Mini Doll Drawing Giveaway and Clothes Set Review!

Greetings and Salutations Doll Friends!

As I mentioned in a recent post, I was lucky enough to find some My Life As Doll Mini Dolls for only $2.50 each recently! So I bought four! Why four? Well, two for here at the Doll House because I have a lot of dolls who need doll friends! Then of course I bought one for my sister friend Frann because she and I love to have twinsy things. The fourth? Well, to give away in a drawing here on the blog!!

That's right! The little School Girl Mini Doll will be given away in a drawing! How do you enter drawing? Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy!! You just go and 'like' the PCR American Doll House Facebook Page and share the post there about the contest on your own Facebook page. That's it, super easy!

I will draw the name of the contest winner on Sunday September 3, 2017 at  6PM Central Standard Time.*Contest only open to people in the United States or APO addresses due to postage costs!!*
(Sorry international readers, I only have so much money to devote to my little blog here)

One other reason I bought two of the mini dolls for the Doll House was that I wanted to be able to change clothes between them and the two American Girl Doll Mini Dolls I own. I don't need a ton of clothes for them but an outfit change here and there might be fun. I actually bought one of the new My Life As Doll Mini Doll clothing sets the same day I got the mini dolls for same reason.

This is the set I picked. I love the little horse shirt and the boots! So cute!

Here are my two American Girl Doll Mini's alongside one of the two Mini's I bought for the Doll House. One thing I've never really understood about the MLA Mini's is why they decided to make them an inch taller than the American Girl Mini's and the Our Generation Minis? It's one of the reasons I never bought one before. I've decided to think of them like Karito Kids of which I have one in my own collection. They are a smidge taller than 18inches so it makes total sense. Right? Hahaha. I am such a dork sometimes. How I have to have 'stories' for all my Doll House residents. Teehee.

However, even though they are a smidge taller, I thought they would likely still be able to share clothes.

So I went to changing the clothes one of the new dolls I'd opened (the second will be opened by Heather Doll in an upcoming blog post!) and the American Girl Mini's.

Not before I took a bunch of photos of the four Mini Dolls. They are just so cute!

Here is the back of the boxes.

And here are the dolls all changed into different clothes. I was super sad to realize that the red shirt my Julie Mini had been wearing had stained her arms red. Boohoo. I hate it when that happens. The clothes fit pretty well despite them being a bit different in height. However, the shoes were not a perfect fit fot the American Girl Minis. The MLA Doll Mini shoes are too big. As you can see, I put the boots on Julie anyway and they look pretty cute and you can't tell they are too big. The slip on shoes though won't work at all for the AG Mini's. Bummer! Oh well... The good news being that the school girlie I am having the drawing for comes with black boots! So, if you have an AG mini and are the winner, you'll be able to share the boots on that doll with your AG Mini. How fun! One of my favorite parts of doll collecting is the fun of having them share clothes and accessories. So it'll be fun to make a scene of Heather Doll and Frann Doll playing dolls and changing out their dollies outfits. Of course that'll be a future blog post...

Well, I better run. Good luck in the drawing!
Have a great week!

Mad Money Doll Shopping Spree Haul From This Past Weekend!

Greerings and Salutations Doll Friends!!

So this past weekend my husband, being the sweet guy that he is, hands me some money and tells me I should go on a dolly shopping spree. Who am I to say no? So, on Saturday, I made the rounds of two Walmart's, two Target's, one Goodwill and a Toys-R-Us to see how far I could stretch my money. Teehee. Like a challenge, even.

I found so many amazing deals!!!

I specifically told myself when I set out that I was not allowed to buy another doll. I have lots of dolls...!! But I never had Kyla!!! She was only $12.98. This is not my fault. It had to happen! She practically followed me home. I have no regrets. *giggles*

What was I saying about not buying any dolls? But these don't count right? Because they are dolls for my dolls and so kind of like accessories, right? I found these marked on the shelf for $4 each and picked up just one... When I rang up though, they rang up for only $2.50!! So, naturally, I bought four. Hahahaha. Only two of them are for me to keep though. One, naturally, is to be sent to Frann, one of the twins in the PJ's. We get a kick out of sharing dolly stuff and having twinsy stuff and so that had to happen. What about the fourth? Well... I think I am going to have a little drawing for that one!! The little School Girl dolly will be given away in a contest. I'll try and get the details posted about that as soon as I figure them out. Haha. It will involve finding my Facebook page Facebook Page and giving it a like and probably sharing a post from there. I'll come back and update this page with details when I dream them up.

Then this is a new item at Walmart! It's clothes for the Mini's! The set was $9.98. As you can see from the post about doll tea party I have a American Girl Doll Julie Mini I got at a Flea Market and another American Girl Mini that looks just like my Lilly Doll as doll for my Heather Doll and Frann Doll. They didn't really have too much in the way of outfit changes because I knew Frann loved mini dolls and forwarded on the Our Generatio Mini Doll and Wardrobe on to her a while ago. I have a TON of doll stuff and so I was happy to do so! But when I saw this I thought it might be fun to have a few little outfit changes and more shoes for them. You know, so Heather Doll and Frann Doll can change out their dollies!

I hadn't ever gotten a My Life As version because, lets be honest, I am cheap and $10 was always more fun to spend elsewhere. But four for $10? That's a fun price! So I bought one for Heather Doll, one for Frann Doll, one for real Frann and one for the drawing. All for $10!

When I went to the Target stores (I really did go to two different ones on either side of town!) I didn't really see much new... In fact both Target's I went to were very lackluster regarding selection. I was feeling the pain of the people I read about in my Doll Groups on Facebook who say they never have anything good at their local stores. Yikes! But I did find these two "Todays Special" sets. Why two? Because if you're going to have a diner, you need more than one table, right? So of course you need more of one of each of the napkin holders and condiment bottle holders for each table, right? As I said the other day in another post, I think that the Our Generation Diner at Target is neat but it's so huge that I think setting up a diner with my own furniture and these accessories will be just as much fun.

I almost fell over when I found these sets marked for $4.00 but when I rang out they rang up as $2.00 each set!! Awesomeness!! I've always thought I should have more tacos than the two who came in my origial Fiesta set and now I'll have six!! Perfect for a fiest party now!! The baking set never really appealed to me at regular price but I think the apron is certainly worth $2. I was out of time and it was my last Walmart and stop or I might've braved the crowded line/store and gone back for the rest they had but.... I was done for. Don't think it won't haunt me. I could probably get three times that on eBay in the coming months. But lets get real, if I buy them, it's not to re-sell.
*giggles again*

I also got this hat and 'fur' collar set for $4.99. You can get one too, they are same price on TRU Website right now.

I think the most exciting find of the day after Kyla was the My Life As Doll bed. I forgot to take a separate photo of it but you can see it above in top photo. It was only $5.00!! I've thought having another bed in the bunk bed bedroom would be a good idea because I have so many girls in the Doll House needing to sleep somewhere for sleepovers. So this will be great. Not totally in love with the color and may get brave enough to try and paint it at some point but... For $5.00 I'll take it. If they'd have had two I would've bought two because they stack! I should've seen if they were compatible with the newer My Life As Doll bed in white because they did have a few there but I didn't think to. If I run across one soon I'll measure and see. Because it'd be fun to have another set of bunk beds in that room!

OH! I nearly forgot! I got the Star Wars R-4 toy at the Goodwill for $4.00!! It's gonna be great to go with one of the dolls on Halloween!!

Better run!
Till next time!

Flea Market Doll Finds! Vintage Battat Doll and Mini AG!

Hi Doll Friends!

Yesterday after church I ran by the flea market. One of the vendors has a toy booth...

I got great deals on fantastic finds!

I got all these vintage Battat shoes! The pointy toed dress shoes are unlike any I've ever even seen before! The colors are all great too, I don't have any of these shades of blue and pink and this is only pair of yellow DocMartin type shoes I've ever even seen! Fun!!!

I got all these doll clothes... She sells doll clothes out of a big bin for 50cents an item. The little flowered pants are American girl doll... Made for bitty babies but they work for 18" dolls too. The panties are AG too... Otherwise it's OG or BuildABear clothes or off brand. Cute though, all of them!

I got this actual AG mini Julie for $5!

Then this little gal... I have a few Battat dolls with the 1998 face sculpt that came as blonde and red heads. Both have been changed to boy dolls because I think the sculpt is good as a boy face. Both my others have blue eyes. So when I saw this one, I thought, immediately, "brown eyed boy!". Not to mench she had on an amazing dress!

However, after I finally got her home and looked her over, something surprised me! All the other 1998 Battat dolls I've found have had (really crappy hard to remove) wigs. Not so with this little gal! She has rooted hair! She also had pink and purple extensions in her hair... I assumed added by the little girl who owned her before...

As I went to remove them so I could give her hair a proper brushing, I realized they must've come on the doll?!

See the white fastener? Factory direct apparently! So this little lady was basically in "fresh out of the box" shape! So her hair is staying put and she is to stay a girl...

Her name will be Becky after a life long friend who also has fabulous hair.

Here she is in one of the dresses I got. It's a "What a Doll" outfit. That means it is likely a duplicate of a real little girl outfit and came as a set so a girl could dress the same as her doll. I have a few of the same sort of outfit from when my daughter was still in love with her AG doll and they will always be cherished outfits! They are made really well and are very fashion forward! I brushed out her hair and braided it. She looks so pretty!

Flea Markets are so much fun! You never know what you're going to find!

Better run!
Till next time!

Brown Eyed Blonde Girls In The Doll House

Hello Again Doll Friends!

I recently got another blonde haired brown eyed doll... They are a bit on the rare side compared to the blonde blue eyed variety and, I think, usually gorgeous! So I decided to do a post of all my blonde haired brown eyed dolls... Because... Why not?

Here are Lorilai (Girl & Company Doll) and the new doll I was talking about, and Ava (Journey Girl Doll) and Audra (Girls of Faith Doll)

Then there is Amya (Our Generation) and Samorn the Our Generation I rewigged recently. Lastly there is Josie (Newberry).

I love each and every one of them and think they are fabulous!

Mini doll Julie wanted to be included because she obviously is a blonde haired brown eyed girl as well.

So I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection!
Have a great weekend!!
